HATTEN LLC GENERAL CONTRACTOR
June 13, 2017 I hired this guy to install a pool. He took 2500.00 down and pretty much ran. Never did the job, never answered phone or text messages. He is a scam artist. DO NOT HIRE THIS THIEF JERRY HATTEN. Lies, lies, and more lies is all your gonna get from this guy. Has numerous warrants out for his arrest. I got his number from Smith and porch.com, and now they are investigating him.

White Oak Construction
The salesman was good (obviously since we purchased seven windows), however, the actual installers looked rough and the work was far from professional. My husband and I ended up removing a messy, heavy layer of dark caulk and replacing it with something that matched. There is a guarantee but when we called about a broken piece, a man came to repair it right away and saw the terrible caulking job that was done. He said "that is unacceptable" and that he would let the office know but we never heard anything, thus did the repairs ourselves. Quality windows. No quality craftsmanship.

HATTEN LLC GENERAL CONTRACTOR
I guess I got ripped off for $2000. Contract I signed was dated 4 dash 27 Dash 17. It was supposed to be done by May 3. I've tried to call him many a times . But he doesn't answer my phone calls and sometimes he doesn't answer my emails with the wrong person in mind. Told me multi time we're coming out this weekend will be there on a Saturday. Only to get let down again with no work done. But he cashed it yet deposit check.

MOI Construction
We had only excellent service throughout our construction project with MOI Construction! The estimate was on target as quoted, the workers built non-stop and did superior work, supervisors were outstanding in making sure everything was completed to our satisfaction. Highly recommend working with MOI Construction!

Ultimate Homes Services
Very disappointed with our carpet install. Not only was carpet incorrectly installed, (it was installed over laminate flooring when it was supposed to be removed, tack strips show in the corners) but damage was done to our home too. They have cancelled once on me to come back and fix the carpet and now I'm waiting well over a month with all my stuff in the garage before they can possibly come back and resolve the issue. Very unprofessional company!!!

Barcelona Tapas Restaurant
This review is about Barcelona Tapas' disorganized, unprofessional management.Mike, the GM, had set up an interview with me.I was eager for this job, nervous, dressed up of course, parked in what had to be Barcelona Tapas parking lot.My dress clothes were a bit wet when I walked into Barcelona Tapasbecause it was pouring rain, but aside from that I think I was presentable.Eventually, finally, I talk with Michael (the Assistant General Manager who is running the show at this day and time), and Assistant General Manager Michael tells me that neither Mike nor Frank are ever here on this day at this time. That's right. Mike--the GM who had set up my interview--was not there. Frank--the owner--was not there (when I talked with Mike previously, he had even mentioned to me that Frank would be there as well... I remember my conversation with Mike the week before, "...if Frank says 'Yes' then you're definitely in." or words to that effect). After waiting at least ten minutes for Michael (Assistant General Manager) to get to the bottom of this by phoning Mike GM, Mike told me, "He completely forget, but you can come back some time next week [and work for free for a couple hours to see how it goes]." (I'm not 100% certain that last part was what he meant, but in our conversation the previous week that's what Mike GM asked me to do for the first interview day, which I was okay with since he wanted to see how I would do).No apology from Assistant GM Michael. He just relayed the message, "He completely forgot, but you can come in next week some day if you want."This really rubbed me the wrong way. In the rain I walked back to my car which was parked in the only lot that could've been Barcelona Tapas. A parking ticket on my windshield. Perfect.Of course after this experience I'm never returning to Barcelona Tapas, and to be honest I'm now motivated to work at one of its competitors and actively promote other eateries and restaurants near me.
Tips & Advices
Employers must conduct all required training in a language and vocabulary that workers can understand. Training must demonstrate the hazards of operating certain machinery, like stone cutters and splitters, as well as how to use them appropriately. It's important to verify that your landscape contractor has taken the necessary steps to fully train its personnel and that the appropriate safety precautions are in place.
Check the specific regulations for your area, and verify that your contractor has the necessary licenses. These may include a state contractor's license, pesticide license, CDL driver's license and license to sell and purchase nursery stock.
Landscape work is not cheap, so it's in your best interest to make sure that it's done to your requirements and that you get the best contractor to do the job. Homeowners should know how much they'll need to pay for the contractor's service as well as how they will be billed for this work. Ask about any design fees, if quoted prices are fixed or estimates, and what the payment process will be. Clarifying these items in the beginning will prevent any surprise expenses.
Yes. Homeowners should require that the contractor submit certificates verifying compliance with safety, insurance, workers' compensation and drug and alcohol testing programs. This will give you peace of mind that the contractor has gone through all the steps under industry regulations.
Yes. Every good contractor should have a list of recently completed jobs that you can see in their portfolio. They should also have a list of references that you can contact, or properties that you can see in person.
