Sears Appliance Repair
Sears have been out 2 times and my issue is still not resolved they have to come out the third time because when they put my product back together it did not function right I could not get the gas cap off to put gas in my riding lawn mower so evidently everything was not put back and it was being blocked and I could not put gasoline in my tractor they have gave me time Windows like 9 hours each day most businesses give no more than a 4 hour time window I've lost three days of work . plus they have charged me diagnostic fee every time they come out even though it's their fault they're charging me again they were out earlier this year to fix my dishwasher also which I went ahead and let the repairman replace the part because I was already being charged for them to come out to look at it and it's a front loader and fixing my dishwasher he was leaning on the door and he's sprung it which I didn't know at the time now my dishwasher is leaking all over my floor I can't run my dishwasher I never have got that issue resolved with Sears and I don't like it because my phone calls are transferred outside United States and even though they speak English with their accent I cannot comprehend them so if somebody is reading this review that I have put up here maybe they can help me to try to get Sears to replace my dishwasher or fixed what they have broke because I couldn't get the issue resolved so I am dealing with two issues my dishwasher and my Craftsman tractor hopefully when Sears comes out for the third time they will put my tractor back together so I can open up the gas cap to put gas in my tractor I haven't added up all the money yet but right now my tractor is going to cost me almost $500 with this third call and my dishwasher had cost me 350 but it's not fixed . that is a lot of money for me. It was discouraging that I had a large price to pay for the part that my dishwasher needed, but the sears guys help to make it a little more affordable and helped me make the decision to go ahead with the repair .They were both very professional . Thank you for your services !!

The serviceman was very kind and explained how my washer worked, how to take better care of it, etc. However, I was charged A LOT of money to come and fix my dryer and do regular maintenance on both. The dryer wasn't vacuumed out (lint trap), the washer wasn't touched either, except to run a test cycle. Too much money for what I received.

I won't say they were crooks but I will say they might not know what they are doing.... They wanted to charge me $500 ish for replacing a master cylinder for breaks when taken to another place they said it was ok and My issue was that someone left the caps off the break lines ... (doesn't that seem like it could have caused me to lose break power and crash ? ) I feel like they tried to kill me ... just don't know what was up with that
Tips & Advices
Aftermarket replacement parts can be perfectly safe and reliable, but be sure to do your research. If replacing a more integral piece, such as washing machine’s water pump or a thermostat for a busted water heater, it might be best to purchase new.
Replacement parts generally come with warranties extending anywhere from 30 days to five years, depending on the original price, the nature of the fix and the age of the part itself.
If you’re seeking new parts repair companies will generally mark up their prices slightly--particularly at a major national retailer. However, used parts are typically discounted.
Cheaper used appliance parts can be found online or at many local, independently owned retailers, along with ecommerce sites such as eBay. Major retailers, however, generally limit their selection to unused, full-priced options.
Second-hand appliance parts are generally anywhere between 50-75% cheaper than new ones, but warranties might not extend as long and the parts may be less reliable or come with a shorter lifespan. Be sure to research the source of any second-hand parts to ensure the dealer is reputable and the part itself reliable.
