Susquehanna Auto Clinic
As a female, I am so pleased to have found an honest car repair shop! Sesquehanna Auto is so fantastic! They have always given me honest information about my car, fair options for repair, and parts and services at a reasonable price. When I take my car in to be fixed, SA just addresses the problem I am having with it. They don't try to find other things wrong with it just to get more money out of me like many other repair shops I have dealt with. I was kept informed about what was going on with my car the entire time SA had possession of it, and I was also given a clear explanation of my options so I could decide how I wanted them to proceed. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a very informative description of everything that was done to my car on the paperwork I received when I picked the car up. Everything I had discussed with SA on the phone was listed in detail, and I could clearly see what I was charged for, and how much it cost. Finally, the employees at SA are very kind and personable and always express gratitude for my business. I recommend Susquehanna Auto to anyone who will listen, and I will continue to take my vehicle there for all of my auto repair needs.

Buddy's Automotive
A handful of auto body shops rejected my very simple request to be seen today for something very simple and very silly. I wasn't willing to wait more than a day to get this done but Buddy's Automotive accepted me with open arms even being super backed up for the day with prior clients.I accidentally opened a panel on the inside of my car that ended up not being a panel at all and needed to get it glued back on.Anyhow, I was in and out in about half an hour, they simply glued back together a part of the interior I accidentally broke and it was super cheap and affordable, they didn't ask for very much but I was very much willing to pay for their time and I'm happy they allowed me to compensate them for the awesome quick fix.For now, this is my new go to place! They've been nothing but helpful, honest and forward with me, something these kind of businesses seem to lack. :)

Santa Fe Garage
Had an urgent repair come up this week and didn't have time to take my car to my usual mechanic, so I took it to this shop near the courthouse in Independence. Power steering went out of my car and there's always a concern that mechanics you don't know are going to tell you that your car needs a pump or something more expensive, when the fix is actually simpler than that. These guys were honest, fixed the hoses that needed fixing, and didn't try to get something more. Very reasonable and I felt totally comfortable taking my car there. Would do it again. I'd recommend this shop to anyone.

Barr's Auto Repair
I took my 2001 Chevy lumina to have it looked at. 260,000 miles on it to have a rear gasket fixed it was leaking and come to find out the front one was leaking and the intake. The gentleman said the car being old and lots of mileage he would not recommend dropping the money into it. Instead of just taking my money which they could have done they did not conduct business that way. I appreciated his advice and his time. Thank you for not taking advantage and your honesty is refreshing!

Midas Auto Service Experts
I have been going to this location for over 20 years, they have always been fair and honest with price ( not the highest or the lowest) but they know their stuff and do good work and have always stood by the work they do. I had to give them kudos for checking my breaks without charge and being fair about the issues ... ( had sears tell me it was a $500 issue ) ... I could have gotten really jerked around with the price but they fixed it for under $100.

When the hood gets blown up by wind and smashes the windshield your mind rushes with bad thoughts. My wife called buddy's and not only did they send a tow truck but as well a separate vehicle to get the Mrs. 2 girls and a baby. Mike and the guys took care of our vehicle but more important took care of my family. Thank you guys for putting my mind to rest, for my business it will always be Buddys automotive. You can't get that care anywhere

J & J Auto Repair
I've taken my wrangler here a few times and every time they've been great, they are quick with repairs and thorough. They let you know if anything else needs repairs and give you a heads up before it goes bad. The prices are very fair and the customer service is friendly, they even keep your cars locked up to prevent thieves from breaking into them.

Susquehanna Auto Clinic
I trust that the staff at Susquehanna Auto Clinic has my best interests in mind, and work to keep me as a repeat customer. Trusting a car repair shop is not easy for me, as I have been ripped off by other shops in the past.I have found the staff at Susquehanna Auto Clinic very knowledge and helpful, and recommend this shop.

Buddy's Automotive
Buddy's is an excellent place to take your car and I plan on continuing to bring ours in for anything they are able to fix. He charged me half of what other places wanted to for my Wheel Hub and was completely fair-priced when he discovered further issues. No BS and very friendly, as well.

Buddy's Automotive
Buddy's is always there for me in a pinch. One time one of my coils went out the day before I was to leave for Chicago to see my 95 yr old Grandma and they busted their hump to get it done in time for me to hit the road. They've been keeping my old vehicle running for about 6 years now.
Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
