Wouldn't take my, nor anyone's animal here. We found this place to be smelly and dirty. We would have rather taken her back to the animal shelter to be taken care of. When we picked up our dog and she was dirty, timid (cowered every time we tried to pet or pick her up), and had rectal bleeding. We are now trying to figure out why and hopefully we don't end up at the vet.

I looked in YellowPages.com to find a place to take my dog for the week of christmas. I called 6 places who all told me they were booked. The 7th place I called was Pet Salon. They were able to take my Mini Schnauzer, Roxy. I told them I was leaving Saturday morning (December 20, and would be back December 28. So I would pick Roxy up the morning of the 29th.) I asked what time they opened so I would know whether I should drop her off early Saturday or Friday night. We settled on Friday. They said it is ten dollars a day. I asked if it would be ten dollars for friday, and monday being they wouldn't be full days. She said yes and that if I was writing a check it needed to be paid up front. I wrote a check for 110 dollars. I was also told to bring my own food, and kennel. I agreed to that. My plans changed, and I needed to leave Friday night. I asked if I could drop Roxy off Friday afternoon. She said yes. We discussed again when I would drop her off and pick her up. When I took her in, I said that Roxy is not house trained, and is not used to this kennel, we have a much larger one she sleeps in at night, it just wasn't feasible to bring it. I also told them that sometimes she does good with other dogs and sometimes she doesn't, she isn't around them very much. The lady asked me if I wanted Roxy trimmed while I was gone. I told her no, I didn't want her to get cold. She is an outside dog. She suggested that I let her trim Roxy's paws, face, and belly because it would get matted. I agreed. She told me that she would be taking Roxy home, so that she wouldn't be alone and she had a fenced yard for her to run in. I said that was fine. I gave her the 110 dollar check and gave her my phone number. They didn't call me once. (The check cleared on December 23.) I called Pet Salon the morning of the 29th, around 11:30 to say I was coming. She told me she thought I was coming Tuesday, and I couldn't pick her up until 2 o'clock. (I'm not sure if Roxy wasn't there or if there wasn't anybody there to let me in. I think I called a cell phone.) My check was for 110 dollars, if they did the math they would know I was picking her up Monday. I asked if there was a way I could get her sooner, I was in town and didn't want to come back. She told me no. I said o.k. and hung up. I rethought the situation and called her back at 11:43. I asked if there was somewhere else I could go to get her. I live in Shelley and was already here, I had my 2 boys and it would be inconvenient to drive back. She raised her voice and told me I could have called sooner but I chose to call right then and I am the one causing the inconvenience. I said I was not trying to chew her out. She cut me off and yelled more. (I'm not sure what all she said.) I said that I was paying her. She said I was paying her to watch my dog, not to run her a** around all day. At one point she referred to my dog as "that f****** dog". She ended by saying "you can pick her up at 2. Do you understand that ma'am!" and hung up the phone. I was not rude in any way. I cannot think of what I did to cause her to treat me this way. My dad agreed to go pick Roxy up at 2 for me. When he went to get her, she was being trimmed! We discussed very clearly that I was not to pick her up until 2. When my dad got there at 2, she was being trimmed! My dad brought her to my house, she had a partially trimmed behind with hair hanging off. My dad was told they had to trim her behind because she was constipated from the fur covering her bum. That is NOT true! I trimmed the fur off her bottom when she was a puppy because she couldn't poop. I have kept a close eye on it since. I clean up her poop every day. If she was constipated, why would they wait 10 days before fixing it? I do not know names of people I talked to. Mary is the owner. Pet Salon was the only place not booked for a reason. I wish I looked for reviews, and asked around. This is how I was treated, I can't help but wonder how my dog was treated.

I've used Ameripet since the late 90's and they have always taken wonderful care of my pets. Nothing brings a smile to my face more than the staff knowing my pets by name hwen we walk in the door and my dogs are always excited to get there. Since my dogs love to play and have fun, I request a bath before I pick them up, they smell fresh and clean their coats look shiny.

I have used Eastside for all my animals needs and when I had to have one of my beloved pets put to sleep I had the best and they took very good care of me and let me spend as much time as I needed with my dog, or when my next dog died suddenly without me there, the Dr's where very understanding and kept him there until I was ready to pick him up. I don't thing I could or even would go anywhere else for my animals care and needs.

The staff is exceptionally compassionate and professional, and they have separate entrances for cats and dogs. I've taken my cats to other veterinary practices in the area and had good results but the facilities and staff at Countryside are superior and I trust them completely with my cats' care.

I needed a place to leave my dog over the weekend. The vet helped with vaccinations and gave me more information about training my dog than I have had in two years at my good vet. The trainer who took care of my dog was kind and attentive. Just a great service all around. I will be taking my pets here from now on.

Let me start by saying that our pet does well with other people, groomers, and kennels. We've had to kennel her a number of other times at our vet back home. When we moved here, we were told to try here. When we dropped our pet off, our pet was VERY uneasy. The female who took our pet back made no effort to calm her or get to know her. She just dragged her back. We almost left then with our pet, but we had a business trip and had to get going. When we called to check on her, we were told she was unmanageable and not welcome back. We picked her up when we got back in town, and she was extremely thirsty and horse. We were not allowed back to see what condition she was kept in while we were gone. It appears no one had taken the time to" get to know" her, so I guess they take on too many pets for individualized attention. I guess we expected too much. Like I said before, we NEVER have had a problem like this with a kennel. I laughed when they told her she wasn't a good fit and not welcome back. With what condition she's in, she'd never come back anyway.

Dr Burr is amazing. I had a dog that was paralized from a herniated disc. Dr. Burr knew exactly what to check for and where to send me. I had a dog with an ear infection and he was very thorough at treating it. My parents had the same issue with their dog (both were shi tzus) they had taken it to a different vet several times and weren't having any success. I told them about Dr. Burr and they switched vets. Dr. Burr quickly discovered it wasn't an ear infection at all but allergies instead. That saved my parents a bunch of money and their sweet dog finally has some relief. As a side note: his groomer is the best around. I don't remember her name but I have always been a happy customer. She does the most thorough job of anyone I know for less money. She knows her breeds and each of their special needs. THANK YOU Dr Burr and staff! We love you!
