I would be glad to give them a 5-star review for their services, however, their billing practices are not honest. We had to call a plumber this past Saturday for emergency work. I agreed to the hourly rate of $115/hr.After services were rendered, I was provided an invoice and paid with my Visa. After later reviewing the invoice, I noted that the labor hours charged were too many and we were overcharged for the services provided. I contacted their office. Their reply was they 'applied a credit on your account which will be available the next time we perform a service call for you'. I have no intention of using them again, as they should have had honest and accurate billing / invoicing in the first place. I've requested a refund to my Visa, their reply is that according to their 'policy' that they only 'apply credits to customer's accounts'. I'm now responsible to take the financial loss for their invoicing and billing mistake. I'm out $60 for services / hours that were not rendered to me. I will not be using them in the future. It seems a shame such a small issue can't be properly resolved... my family has used E&M for many years... because of this one experience, I will never use them again.
I got my bed from these people back in Febuary. When they assembled the bed, it was discovered that there was a faulty part. The bar that is supposed to be the center support, reaching from the head of the bed to the foot, wasn't long enough. The guy assembling tried to make it work by drilling a hole in the end of it so it could atleast make it half way down the bed, but when I sat on it (with him there) the board cracked. He told me they would get a new part ordered. A month later when I called, the owner of the store told me that the guy said he had fixed it and a part didn't need ordered. I explained that wasn't true and he said they would order the part. It has now been a total of six months of me waiting for them to order this part and fix my bed. Every few weeks I have called, and every time they say the part is on order. I find it hard to believe that it takes 6 months to order a part when they got the bed in less than 2 weeks. Top it off, when I ask to speak to the store manager, they tell me when he will be in and when I call he conventiently never is. He also never returns any of my phone calls, no one there does. Their voicemail is actually full with all the phone calls they must get from people, cause as of today you can't leave a message. This last week when I called, finally tired of being polite, and told the guy on the phone I wanted my bed fixed now (because this wait has been ridiculous and I have been nothing but nice). He called me sarcastic and said that he was going to hang up the phone on me. Very unprofessional company. Obviously do not care about their customers. Heard that they are gonna stop selling furniture though, and start just selling mattresses. Regardless DO NOT do business with these people. Jerry and Tony do not care about their customers in the slightest.

My ac unit was failing to cool the entire house, usually when this happens it simply needs a cleaning, my father, who had done it in the past hurt himseld and was unable to help this time. I called to get a quote from the company due to something on the paper. They quoted me 120.00 for a cleaning. I work nights so I left some cash with my fatherwho would be there so I would be able to sleep for work the next night. My quote went from $120.00 to paying the service technician $219.00. The handwritten bill states that there was an extra $99.00 charge for cleaning the coils. After hearing that it was almost $100.00 more than what was quoted, I called the company to find out why coil cleaning was not included in a normal cleaning. The person who answered the phone explained that they were the schedualing department and they would pass my information on the billinig department, who in turn would call me back to answer questions. As of a week later no call back was made. I plan on calling them back again to get an explanation of why the technician charged extra for something that should have been covered in the cleaning I was quoted for. Of course, they tried to push the "club" thing several times. Clearly I was not satisfied with the company, for failing to stick with a quote and for failing to explain why something was extra. Truthfully I don't believe they deserve a star rating at all.
