Los Angeles Pregnancy Services
I would like to thank Miss Irma and everyone else at L.A.P.S when I found out I was pregnant with my second child at 21 I was very overwhelmed. This organizations offers tons of support and I highly recommend their services to anyone who is unsure and needs more insights. Ms Irma was not judgmental and educated me on my options. I was provided with great resources to assist me in my time of need. Now my beautiful baby boy is six months and I'm so happy with the decision I made despite anyone who disagreed LAPS supports me <3 xoxoxo.

Los Angeles Pregnancy Services
I found LA Pregnancy Services in Huntington Park on the internet for help about what I was going to do with my pregnancy. They were great on the phone and easy to talk to. I felt like they gave me special attention. I didn't feel alone - I wasn't sure about going to the abortion clinics. I really feel that the counselor at Los Angeles Pregnancy Services gave me information and options to see things differently. As a college student I have my whole life in front of me, I'm so happy we met because I made the right choice. Thank you for being so kind to me and not judging me.

The LA Pregnancy Clinic in Huntington Park is very welcoming and helpful. Their volunteers really care for the women that go there. The clinics are clean and sanitary. The information about abortions are factual and things an OBGYN would also tell you. Excellent clinic, would recommend it to any women in need of pregnancy help or counseling.

Del Rosario Medical Clinic
DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS LOW BUDGET CLINIC. Worst clinic experience. First I called to make an appointment and the day I show up for my appointment the ex gang banger chola looking American career college graduate medical assistant completely ignores me for about 5 minutes then proceeds to inform me that my appointment was not showing up on the computer this was September a month after I made the appointment so I made an appointment for oct I show up in oct and they told me they verified my insurance in sep so it had to be reverified for oct I asked why the idiot who booked my appointment did not verify it for oct and they said I had to wait until Monday if I wanted to see the doctor I suggest you don't ever consider this place if you want to see a doctor here before you die I never even got to see or meet a doctor thanks to the idiots they have running the place. I truly hope one day they get the customer service they give out bunch of idiots.
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
