Jeep Care Center
If you have a Jeep (or any other car for that matter) stop searching for an auto shop. You just found the only honest one in America. I can't over emphasize that point. Stop searching because this is the only shop you would ever want to take your Jeep or 4x4. Dustin worked on my 1977 CJ5 (smog, suspension, lift, and various other things). Dustin is professional, honest, and straight forward. While other shops will usually low ball you with your problems enticing you to "just bring it in!", Dustin will always give you the worst case scenario up front so you're not blindsided in the end. If something doesn't need to be fixed, he'll tell you to save your money! If something does and he didn't include it in the estimate, he'll do it anyway. He'll work with you on your time schedule and is always responsive - reaching out to you to update you before you ever feel the need to pick up the phone. My one advice would be to call ahead and schedule an appointment as he's usually busy.

Mecema Auto Repair
Have a good experience with Mecema Auto Repair and Service. The owner of the place is reliable and experienced who knows his job and how to fit my budges. I suggest this shop to all my friends. I always do service and my car regular maintenance here. Just recently I was driving from Inland Empire up to OC when my car broke down. I called Mecema and Peter (the owner of the shop) arranged the towing to his shop and it was late Friday night. He gave me the car to drive back home (no charge) promising me to fix it by next day afternoon. On Saturday afternoon I came to pick up my car, I was late but the mechanic patiently waited for me. In addition to the repair they did oil change for me and they didn't charge me for towing just for the parts that needed to be replaced. Thank you, Mecema Auto Repair and Service. I will defiantly will use your service again.

Sully's Auto Repair
Sully's is honest and reliable! Hard to say that about a lot of auto repair shops. Not only does Robert Sully give you fair pricing, he gives you personal attention - no matter what your problem. The shop is clean, the people are nice and friendly, and Robert knows what he's talking about and doing when it comes to cars, trucks and RV's. While in his shop, there were a few customers there with me, and all of them had great things to say about Sully's. It's nice to hear great things about someone to whom you've entrusted your safety...

Import Auto Repair
I just recently took my car back in, and had a ton of work to do. What I respect most from these guys is that the quote was far lower than the dealer, and they gave me options about holding off on replacing a potential issue tell we get an error code. They recommended this, so I would not be spending $1000+ on two different parts when we really are not sure yet, as it is most likely just one part causing the problem.Import Auto Repair is honest, and I recommend it to all my friends. You should too.

Kens Automotive
I am very picky where I get my 95 Lincoln Town Car serviced at (it's a head-turner and people keep making offers to buy it). At Ken's, I have finally found a shop that fulfills all of my criterias.Ken and Danny are great mechanics, and most importantly, I can trust them. The prices are more than fair. My car has over 200K miles and when I get it serviced there, it runs so smooth!I'd rather drive over two hours one way, but it's definitely worth it.

J C's Alignments
Johnny has done most of the work on my car that I can't do myself for years. He's always been very fair and highly professional... and he's honest and forthright to a fault. He's always busy and deals with the customer himself instead of having a receptionist so sometimes he can't spend a lot of time chatting up customers. I've been a 'car guy' my whole life and JC's will always be my first choice because of Johnny's integrity and character.

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
