Humble Family Practice
Abysmal customer service and incredibly dishonest care. I requested an appointment for medication refill and , if possible, a pap smear, emphasizing the importance of the medications. The doctor then proceeded to conduct the pap smear without informing me that I had to choose between that and my medication refills because both cannot be carried out in the same appointment. I was basically, in more intelligent words, told "oops, call later and ask about it." I did just that, and by the end of the call, I was so upset that I was crying. No helpful input was given, I was just repeatedly told to shell out another $102 for an appointment, despite my problem being a result of their mistake. My requests were simple and logical, and I offered more than one potential solution; I requested that a) my medications be filled as they have been every month for approximately the last year or b) I could make another appointment as they suggested, at no cost to me since the error was not mine. Neither of these were accepted by their team, who seemed infinitely more concerned about my money than my care. AVOID.

Care For Women
For starters- I just moved to the area and really had no clue where to go. This place seemed conveniently located near my home so I went in to schedule an appointment. The lady at the front desk here was the rudest lady I have probably ever encountered. She wouldn't even look up from what she was doing to acknowledge my presence for several minutes. She wasn't on the phone either. She was just looking at a piece of paper. Then she acted annoyed that I was even there and just handed me a card and told me to call the number on it. Furthermore, I asked if there was anyone I could just ask a quick question to and she said " no." You are not a patient here. I brushed all that off to call the number she gave me and still tried to schedule an appointment. They couldn't get a new patient in until April! That's 2 months from now and I already mentioned I was concerned about something and just needed to ask a simple question. Just so rude! Horrible customer service and show no signs of compassion at all.

First and last visit! Appt with Dr Snead was a joke. She appeared dazed and completely annoyed when I asked questions. Then she was supposed to call in a prescription and I waited 24 hours and the script was still not called in! Called several times, leaving messages each time and got a call 2 days later! then to make matters worse, meds she gave me didn't help, so I called and waited another 2 days for a call back. Then I was told I was responsible for $90 of my visit, which In paid, then got a bill for an additional $175!! for what?? she didn't run any test and barely spoke to me for 30 seconds! Then the nightmare begins. Left 8 messages for office manager Maria and 3 months later no one has called me back. WORST MEDICAL OFFICE EVER!!

AVOID THIS CLINIC!!I went to the clinic because my allergies are making me miserable. Sneezing, runny nose like someone turned on a faucet, and my eyes are gummed up so bad that I'm rubbing them raw.The clinician was very helpful and knowledgable. She printed out my prescription and I took it to the pharmacy. The prescription had the wrong pharmacy printed on it so they refused to fill it without talking with the clinic. After waiting a full day, the pharmacy told me they were still waiting for the clinic to return their call. I contacted the clinic myself and was told they would look into it. 3 hours later, I called them back again. The lady I spoke to told me they were too busy to do anything for me. They also told me the clinician forgot to list that she had given me any prescriptions in my paperwork.A single, simple phone call to the clinician would have gotten them the verification that the pharmacy needed. Now, I'm going on my second day after going to their clinic and still can't get my prescription filled. They wouldn't tolerate me waiting days to pay them. Their level of customer service is absolutely unacceptable.AVOID THIS CLINIC!!

Dr. Carpenter has been doing this a LONG time! Very knowledgeable and helpful in/outside office visit. Marcus Servier, his most senior Physician Assistant, is great also. They listen! They don't mind trying something new if 1st line of treatment doesn't work. I'm not thrilled by some of the office policy changes. You use to be able to walk in at 6:30 p.m. & could be seen without an appointment and have ALL your most pressing issues addressed. That's changed. Unmistakebly, the level of attentiveness and laid back environment is worth the return. Thumbs up to these 2!!

Atascocita Family Medicine
This place doesn't even deserve one star. the doctor is all about the money. States they can only address one concern per visit!!! Asked for a flu shot and was told to make another appointment. Their staff is below par and the doctor seems more concerned about insurance and insurance contracts than addressing the patient's needs. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.
Tips & Advices
An osteopathic physician practices a comprehensive form of medicine that takes a holistic approach to a person's health. Instead of specializing in one system or set of organs, an osteopathic specialist focuses on the health of the total body. This includes evaluating environmental factors that affect a person's well-being.
Many family doctors deliver babies, especially in rural areas without a nearby OB/GYN. However, most family doctors only deliver for low-risk pregnancies and do not perform cesarean sections.
Family nurse practitioners are highly educated nurses able to provide medical care individually or with the assistance of another professional. Family nurse practitioners obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then take the National Council Licensure Examination to begin working as a registered nurse. Then, they continue their education and obtain a Master of Science in Nursing. Following that, they become certified in family practice via the American Nurses Credentialing Center of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, allowing them to become certified family nurse practitioners.
Some family doctors provide immunizations while others do not. Typically, doctors who work as part of a large practice are more likely to offer vaccines in-house. Doctors in offices of one to two physicians are more likely to refer patients to a public health department or other immunization provider.
A physician's assistant is a person qualified to perform routine medical services. This individual is professionally licensed and certified, but they may not have the extensive med school education of a doctor. That said, PAs do complete almost three years of postgraduate study and more than 2,000 hours of rotations.
