The staff of Village Family Practice Physical Therapy has always been professional and friendly. They answer my questions, they explain why I am doing exercises pertaining to my injury, they are attentive to how I perform these exercises and what I should be doing at home. It is always an enjoyable experience despite the reason why I am there. My treatment at Village Family Practice Physical Therapy motivates me to continue these exercises at home. I have only good things to say about each and everyone of these fine people. They care.

The Athlete Stop helped me return to my daily activities after a car accident I was in that left my back and neck not quite the same. Through treatments, rehab, and counseling, their team and staff helped me tremendously!

Med Center Therapy
I was referred to Med Center Therapy by my primary care physician for chronic back pain in February 2014. Med Center Therapy called me and confirmed that they were in-network for my insurance and that based on my policy, my visits would be covered 80% and I would only be responsible for paying 20% of the cost. After continued visits of paying my quoted 20% each time, in late April 2014, I was contacted by my insurance saying that Med Center Therapy was, in fact, OUT-of-network, and that I was responsible for paying 100% of the costs for all of my visits. When I contacted Med Center Therapy, the worker who had confirmed my in-network coverage over the phone in February was conveniently no longer working there, and any notes that were made about that phone call confirmation were gone, placing the impossible burden of proof on me. Rocio, the new person in charge of billing at Med Center, seemed to imply that I was making it up, but in that case, why was I only being held responsible for 20% every visit, until some sudden change in April? Because of a HUGE mistake on the part of their staff, Med Center Therapy is now holding me responsible for thousands of dollars in medical bills that I, as a college student, cannot afford. Obviously, had I been made aware that they were OUT-of-network, I never would have gone. The doctor's office even confirmed with me that each time I checked out for a visit, they would have to verify my coverage, meaning that either I WAS in-network the entire time (which would explain my paying only 20% each time), or that each time I visited, they were aware that I was out-of-network and were NOT letting me know! On top of that, they continue to refuse responsibility and attempt to cover up their mistakes. This only proves that Med Center Therapy is a shady business that will not support its customers. Do not patronize Med Center Therapy, they WILL screw you over! There are other instances of customer and employee complaints, just Google it!

Athletic Orthopedics & Knee Center
I'm a huge fan of this place! I have been to see Dr. Jensen numerous times, for a back injury, a knee injury, and even a cyst in my wrist. For each incident, he was able to get me back to 100% without any surgery or other drastic measures. I brought my one-year old child to see Dr. Baxter when she fractured her ankle, and the staff was extremely caring and made the whole experience fun and not scary at all for my little girl. She had a cast but was back on her feet within 2 weeks. She has had great strength ever since!
Tips & Advices
At the first appointment with a physical therapist, Expect an overall assessment of your condition, which may include exercises to understand your range of motion, balance, and strength. Based on that information, the therapist can then design a regimen.
Physical therapists can work in a variety of environments. While many choose to work in a physical therapy clinic, others will operate out of hospitals and are also able to make house calls to help patients who need in-home assistance and rehabilitation.
Physical therapists can specialize in sports medicine, women's health, geriatric, neurologic, orthopedic, pediatric, and cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions, among others.
See a physical therapist following a serious muscle or bone injury, especially if pain doesn't go away within a few days, is recurring and dull, or is frequent and sharp. Book an appointment if medication is not helping or if your doctor recommends it.
The majority of health insurance plans do include physical therapy treatment, but the amount covered and the co-pay for patients varies person-to-person. Medicare and workers’ compensation both cover physical therapy.
