Vic Big 10 Tire
I was in an accident and had sever front end damage to my Tahoe. The vehicle was towed to a couple other shops in the Heights/Downtown area where I was given some obscene quotes... I was on the verge of breaking down and buying an new vehicle and decided to let Vicky take a look. She came well under the other quotes and had my truck on the racks within minutes... While her shop doesn't have all the leather seats, Imported bottled water, and marble floors, they make up for this TENFOLD in customer service and satisfaction!!! I was completely blown away by their professionalism and attention to my needs and concerns! They run an honest business and do wonderful work - extremely reasonable on pricing and very punctual - my vehicle was fixed within a 1 1/2 days - it took the other guys longer to take a look at my truck and get me a quote! As much as i want to keep this little Heights GEM to myself, I feel like i have an obligation to spread the good word about this small business. I would also say that there is something very intriguing about a beautiful woman that can pick up and name every part of your front end assembly!!! WOW!!! If you need help call VICKY!

713 Used Tires
I needed a tire and 713 Used Tires had one that would work for a good price. When I was driving away, I noticed my steering wheel vibrating. After a few days I took it back and asked Dre to check the balance on my front tires. He only checked the tire that he didn't previously replace and said that it had a flat spot on it. He showed me the flat spot but I couldn't see any flat spot. I yielded to his expertise and hoped that replacing the tire would fix the problem - it didn't. Unfortunately, the second tire he put on had less tread than the one he took off - only 4/32nds and inspection requires 3/32nds, according to him. Finally, I took the car to the dealer and the first thing the dealer said was that he had to re-balance all the wheels. Re-balancing the tires solved the problem. So, if you need a used tire at a reasonable price, you can consider this company. But I was disappointed in their troubleshooting expertise and the second tire purchase was a mistake.

Beasley Tire Service-Houston
I have been looking for an honest and reliable automotive service center for many many years. I felt that honest and reliable car service centers must be an oxymoron. Finally I took my mazda to Roy at Beasley tire after a referral from a friend and I found out that honest and reliable does exist in the automotive world. Roy was very friendly, knowledgable, honest, patient and professional. I was told by a local chain that the car had a long list of problems that added up to thousands; however, Beasley diagnosed the problem and I only paid hundreds with only 2 things wrong. I am sold! I will be telling all my family and friends about Beasley Tire and Roy Crater. Thank you Beasley for hiring honest people.

Carl's Tire Service
I have been taking my vehicles to Carl's tires since about 2001. I would drive out of my way for the great service they provide. All my inspections and tire repairs and replacements have been done there and there alone. I have purchased tires there because their prices haven't been beaten yet. I'm not the type to give up a dollar easily, I drove around comparing prices before I found them, and thankfully never found anyone to beat them. Though I like my money its been their service that has kept me going back every time! I am thankful I have never had a muffler problem but if I did, Carl's is where I'd go!

primarily Spanish speaking but do not have a problem understanding English these guys may look like they're in a hole in the wall business... well let's face it they are in a hole in the wall but the used tires they give you are really good quality 3rd string me cheap and they're super fast. we have been having a lot of tire problems lately and we have replaced every single one of our tires through them. 35 40 bucks. and five minutes later you're gone down the road. they do only take cash but there's an ATM in the mini grocery store right next to them that has an ATM. . l

Do not hesitate and go there for all your vehicle needs.

Forklifts & Tires
I am sorry you feel that way, Raymond. We resolved the matter with your company and decided it was best to move on to keep ourselves distanced from conflict. Judging from your post, I see we did the right thing. Only one company has reported us to the BBB, NiteLite. The parts installed on your unit were brand new. We do offer warranty on our repairs of at least 30 days. Your repairs were done in March of 2013. Your complaint here is 22 months later. If your unit only now broke down, I would say that is pretty good.

Walmart - Tire & Lube Express
I went to the nail shop and was over priced for a manicure $30.00 (gel polish) my nails started chipping three days later. I called to make a complaint and perhaps get my nails repaired. The man who answered the phone was very rude unbelievably RUDE !!! He tried to justify the price and told me I could have done the nails my self. I called corporate and made a complaint I hope to get this situation resolved and perhaps a nail store credit for the situation.

Tire Trends of North America
Awesome Tire Service Store....Went here because I had a flat. First drove to a different store and was given a quote. Advised to go to Tire Trendz on Space Center Blvd by my brother. So glad I did. The manager and his team were very informative and kind. Serviced my car with a new set of feet and a much better price than my first estimate. Was in and out within just a few minutes. Will do all future business with this store. Thank You!
Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
