Top Tax Defenders
I am an employee at Top Tax Defenders and I personally worked on the case below. I can guarantee that we did everything to resolve this client’s issue. The client came to us owing a six figure amount and after the tax returns were filed by Top Tax Defenders, the taxpayer owed under $10,000. The amount this client owed was reduced significantly. The taxpayer was upset because we could not obtain a refund for him on many of the years that were not timely filed. We cannot change the IRS rules regarding returns not filed timely. The IRS will not provide refunds on returns that are filed more than 3 years after their due date.I can guarantee we are not a scam and have had numerous success stories. The taxpayer below states the refunds were legally due to him. Unfortunately, under the IRS rules these amounts were not legally due to him. Please feel free to contact my company at 281-888-6254 and we can discuss how we can assist you with your tax problem.

I love the work that Joe does. This is my third year with them and I have recommended their service to a number of people. They have really educated me on the process and help me stay organized with my documents throughout the year. They saved me lots of money the first year, that is why I will stay with them for a long time. I highly recommend this tax problem and preparation service.

Nexus Tax Advisors, LLC
They helped me get taxes straight! I have a trucking business and they gave advice on how to get the right deductions and avoid audit. We hired this company to take care of all the tax issues and business filings. They are very smart and dependable and explained clearly about S corporation and tax planning opportunities.

IRS Tax Attorney CPA Audit Criminal Fraud
My ex tried to file for innocent spouse. Caused me to be audited. These guys know the things the IRS wants. I got mostly all my deductions, (except for the ones my tax preparer made up). I'm happy I didn't get into trouble for that. If you want your deductions, and also win the audit if it happens, they can make it happen.

Tips & Advices
Yes. Communicating with the IRS can become complicated, especially for the layperson who isn't well-versed in the field of tax law. A tax attorney can help ensure an individual is taking the right approach and is staying within the law.
  • What do you specialize in?
  • Do you have references?
  • What credentials do you have? Are you licensed to practice in this state?
  • What is your hourly rate, and what is the cost of an initial consultation?
Yes. Tax attorneys must first earn a law degree. Then, they must pass the state bar exam specific to the state in which they practice. Some may choose to further their education by obtaining a master's degree in taxation law or taking the CPA exam.
Though both are experts in matters related to taxes and taxation law, there are some key differences between certified public accountants and tax attorneys. Tax attorneys focus more on the legal side of tax law. They have a law degree and have passed the bar exam. CPAs focus more on the financial side of tax law. They have passed the CPA exam. To take this exam, individuals must have 150 or more college credits, and typically some work experience.
Yes. Tax attorneys can help clients with back taxes.
