YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

We held an event here for the United Nations Association. We had about 35 people in the private room, the staff was extremely helpful with the setup and the food was delicious. We really appreciated how the staff was very friendly and accommodating even when the room had filled up and our presenter was speaking. The space got quite tight at times, but overall this is a great spot to hold a private event. I'd recommend staying under 30 people.

2.Lagos Island Cafe
6802 Highway 6 S
I am an AA woman who LOVES Nigerian food! My companion is Nigerian, and I fell in love with the food immediately! We live 60 miles away, so it's not often that we get to enjoy authentic Nigerian food. Whenever we go to Houston, we make that extra 30 mile drive to SW side to go to Lagos Island Cafe. We went to Lagos Island on May 2 to celebrate my birthday, my companion ordered Egusi, and I had a taste for Jollof Rice and Plantain. When the food arrived, the plantain was hard and dry, but I didn't complain, we enjoyed our dinner. I did however place an order of Jollof rice to go for my friend, and asked the waiter if he would make sure the plantain was not hard and dry, He replied, "No problem I will cook some fresh for you." I took his word for it, we received our food, paid our bill, and left. When we returned home (60 miles away) the plantain was from the same batch he'd given us at the restaurant. The next day I called and explained the scenario, the guy said, "No problem, come in and we will take care of it." Last night my companion and I entered, we actually planned to buy more food, but I did expect my plantain on the house. As we entered an older lady was talking to a group of customers sitting, she stopped and shouted in Yoruba to the back ( my companion is Yoruba). A guy came to the front and told me they were unable to give me plantain, that I could have a meat pie instead. I said not to worry about the plantain I'd just like to order ogbono soup and egusi. My companion gave me this funny look, and it was then I knew something wasn't right. Another lady came and said the kitchen was closed. (it was 15 minutes to closing time) At that point I decided I would never go back and left. When we got into the car, my companion told me that the lady who shouted when we arrived said, "THESE ARE THE BEGGARS THAT WANT FREE FOOD!" In Nigerian culture this is an insult. I called back and spoke with the manager, she apologized and told me that was the OWNER so she could do nothing about it. I could not believe that an owner of a restaurant would treat customers in that way. I don't like to generalize and say it's the culture of the people, but in American culture it's understood that customer service is a priority. Honestly I was in shock because I'd never been treated that way , or experienced such rudeness. That told me ALOT about the values of the owner and how the business is ran. I will never go back there ever again. There's an African Food Market & Finger Lickin' on the SW side that serve delicious food, try them.

Kind of pricey but the food is unbeatable. Very unique flavors unlike any other restaurant. We didn't find anything we didn't like. Try any of the appetizers and the "Taste of South Africa"!

Very good but very spicy. I liked the music. A suggestion would be to maybe have descriptions of food in the menu, but 5 star experience nonetheless.

Great food! Family owned and the nicest of people. Cheapest hookah in Houston, not even lying! I've been to at least 5 of them around town and they are all priced around 15 and upwards to 25 for hookah, this place is 10 bucks with over 15 flavors! Chicken skewers are amazing and my personal favorite.

You can't beat this place. The atmosphere is romantic and upscale, the food is absolutely YUMMY, with a wide variety of options. I've sat everywhere in this restaurant, from the bar, to the patio, near the live music stage, and even had my rehearsal dinner party in the upstairs private-bar room with a balcony overlooking the restaurant and stage. Absolutely amazing restaurant in the walkable heart of downtown Houston. From day one I interfaced with Erica at Sambuca and she is above and beyond the best!

I love the paella at El Meson. I just wish you could order it for one person because I always order it for myself and it's huge. The service is friendly and the margaritas are great. Always enjoy eating at El Meson.

As with all Italian families you always feel welcomed and they will always try to please you. There are daily specials along with a full menu. If you don?t see something you like just tell them and they will try their best to accommodate you or they might suggest something else that might be more to your liking. My husband and I eat there at least once a week. Sometimes the rest of our family joins us. I recently took my two year old granddaughter for lunch. I usually take my grandson?s there for dinner they like to play bocce while waiting for dinner. Good food, friendly staff, reasonable prices.

We dined at Cavatore's for Mother's Day and had a wonderful experience. The place was very busy but our service was great. Our waiter was very friendly and was knowledgeable about the specials and wine list. The lasagna and tiramisu are two of my favorite items.Delicious!! We have frequented Cavatore's many times over the years and have never been disappointed! We will be back soon. Keep up the good work.

I love, love Prego's! I always get the Veal special, the mac and cheese is like grandma used to make and the sauteed crab fingers are excellent when they have them. I always sit at the bar for dinner because Kathy is awesome. No matter how busy she is she always makes me feel special. The sommelier (wish I could remember his name) is great. Tell him what you like and what you want t spend and he will find something you will love. Also, he wont make a face if you say your price range is $30 a bottle. They also catered my friends wedding and the food was top notch!

The atmosphere was family friendly. We had reservations so we were seated right away. Our waiter, Mr. Carrabba himself was very helpful and knowledgeable. The food was so so exquisite. I rate the service to be A+.\r Although the other locations are not as good as this particular location. I recommend 3115 Kirby Carrabba's only.\r \r

At first when you arrive at the place, from the outside you might think that you landed in a ghetto, but you cannot be further from the truth. \r \r When you head inside you might think that the place is a little run down, but all this just adds to the atmosphere of the bar. No matter what you order from the menu, it is ALWAYS fresh. The food is absolutely delicious and is probably better then most of the ""Italian"" restaurants out there who put their mind and money into the decor rather than the food. The portions are very big and will make sure that you leave this place full, happy and satisfied. \r \r The service is fast and friendly. I particularly like that the owner and his wife are also there most of the time, showing that they actually care about this place and are not just there to make money. \r So if you are looking for a bar that is easy on your wallet, has a good atmosphere, friendly service and serves delicious Italian food, then this place is absolutely for you.\r \r
