So the only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because I just moved down here from Chicago and have nothing to compare this place to around here. But I have to say that I was close to giving this place 5 stars. We ordered a large Caprese pizza for take-out and it was great! The crust passed the NY style pizza test of foldability and was thin with just the right amount of crunch. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful. I'm definitely looking forward to going back for more.
New York style pizzas and large slices. They even have proscuitto pizza and other gourmet pizzas. The only problem is that it tends to be a bit expensive compared to other pizzerias. But for lunch at some places there's a reasonable deal consisting of one large slice and a side salad. There are other special lunch combos as well.
Ordered brick oven pizza to go Half Cheese and Greek Pizza. We ordered a medium size for 3 and it was more than enough we had left overs for lunch the next day. This pizzeria is the closet to Chicago and Newyork pizzerias. I can't say much of other types of pizzas as I havent tried them but the Greek Pizza was amazing. Thin crust , fresh cheese and toppings and enough cheese.
Huge slices and great cheesy, yummy taste. They just opened up a location in the Marquee by Edwards Theater off old Katy. Love it!
I think this may be my favorite pizza place in town, though I must warn you, I haven't been to too many pizza joints in Houston. The secret here is to order the pizza and eat it at the restaurant for maximum freshness and crispiness of the dough. I've had this pizza delivered before and it just wasn't as good. The service at this location is excellent too!
My favorite is the caprese, it has fresh mozzarella, basil and tomatoes, DELICIOUS! On Monday's their large pizzas are half off! A large pizza could easily feed three people or four if they all got salads/soups. But if you do this you cannot use your Groupon. The chicken tortellini (Tortellini Brodo )soup was very tasty too! It is a very nice atmosphere, you could wear jeans or wear work clothes. They also had a pretty long wine list if that is important to you.
I tried their online ordering. It is user friendly and they are very attentive to your order, at least at the Galleria location. I went with the SoHo pizza, you get three choices for $12.95 (my choices, chiken, roasted peppers and spinach). What a great deal! When I placed the order I accidentally chosen four different toppings without knowing and they called me to make sure I wanted four; which I didn't and was able to make the change. Initially, I thought the pizza would be slightly larger than a personal pan pizza. Boy, was I wrong! You could feed 3 for SQUARE pizza. Extra star for square pizza, I'll make it a 5 star ... IT was delicious!! It was very savory.
I've both used their online ordering for delivery as well as dined in this restaurant. I've been very happy with both! Dine In: Their pizza slices are very large! I got my usual Hawaiian, and was quite happy with it. I also had a garden salad, and it was your usual garden salad fare, and a very nice portion! The restaurant is clean and spacious, and the restrooms are clean (a big plus!). Delivery: Delivery was fast and accurate! I got a pasta dish, and was equally impressed as I was with their pizza. I will dine in or order out again.. I was very happy with my meals!
Great new york style pizzas! Had the New York Village Pizza, which was like a supreme pizza but just better. Price is pretty affordable for the size of the pizza you get. Have already found myself going back for more.
New York Pizzeria is the real deal. Giant slices of pizza cut from homemade pies are cooked the old-fashioned way in brick ovens. Hand tossed before your eyes, the Italian and Sicilian pies are the main attractions, while stuffed pizzas like Stromboli and spinach Calzones are also popular choices.
