Absolutely loved it.\r My wife is just about the pickiest when it comes to Italian food ... she almost NEVER likes any Italian place I take her... but tonight she declared the Branzino to be the best piece of fish she's had in the US... ever.\r I had the Lasagna Verde... which was definitely the best lasagna I've had in years.\r Nothing negative to say. Fantastic\r

My wife and I dined on a Friday night here for the first time and were very pleased. The wait staff, both inside and out were very helpful and polite. We attended a play down town later and were driven there, free, by a coach from the restaurant. It was waiting at the curb after the play. Our waiter assisted us in our selection, but did not push the most expensive items on the menu as some places do. A PERFECT EVENING!

Me and my family have eaten at many Red Lobsters in the pass but we have never recieved great service from any of their locations like he have from this location. I have a family of 11 that I take out to eat atleast once a week and I was shocked that my family chose to eat at Red Lobster for my son 13th Birthday instead of ITZ or even Dave n Buster. However when we got they were a lil busy but the wait was only 12 mins. and the service just blew me away.My server(Will) and supervior(Kelly) was so great that when I return to work on Monday morning I spoke to my Sales Team about the service that I recieved from Will and Kelly and title the meeting ""How to Create a Lifetime Customer"".....because of their ATTITUDES......my experience was just Exceptional...GREAT JOB

Have eaten here three times and have not been disappointed in anything. The flatbreads are awesome. They look so simple, but both of the ones I have eaten have been fantastic. Main courses have always been ample and tasty. If you think the food is too expensive, get some of their classic pasta dishes and you get another one to take with you. I get at least 3 or 4 meals at home, because I always take home some of the initial entree as well, because the servings are very generous. Desserts are large as well, so I would suggest sharing one as opposed to eating one individually. I tried the apple Crostada tonight and it was the best pastry I have had in a long time. Who would have thought that an Italian place could remake apple pie so well. As to service. I have been lamenting the poor service that has been in evidence for the last couple of years in restaurants and couldnt figure out why with jobs being harder to get and tips being such a big part of the job would wait staff be so surly and uncaring. But not here. There is ample staff and the service is excellent and not intrusive. They offer great suggestions done in such a way that you dont feel that they have been pushed by management to do so, but are really concerned with you having a great time and the best food. I live a bit aways from any Maggiano's so it is such a treat when I go. As I said in the beginning, I have never been disappointed and it is my favorite Italian place. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this gem of a place.

As with all Italian families you always feel welcomed and they will always try to please you. There are daily specials along with a full menu. If you don’t see something you like just tell them and they will try their best to accommodate you or they might suggest something else that might be more to your liking. My husband and I eat there at least once a week. Sometimes the rest of our family joins us. I recently took my two year old granddaughter for lunch. I usually take my grandson’s there for dinner they like to play bocce while waiting for dinner. Good food, friendly staff, reasonable prices.

We dined at Cavatore's for Mother's Day and had a wonderful experience. The place was very busy but our service was great. Our waiter was very friendly and was knowledgeable about the specials and wine list. The lasagna and tiramisu are two of my favorite items.Delicious!! We have frequented Cavatore's many times over the years and have never been disappointed! We will be back soon. Keep up the good work.

The Sunday brunch was excellent. That said, the bread served in the entree room was a little hard and chewy for my taste. Not for older people, for sure. But the toast on the salad bar was great. The accordion player was wonderful too. We'll be back.

Highly recommend. Great family style italian food. My favorite appetizer is the Romano Crusted Asparagus with crabmeat...I order it every time. When you are looking at entrees try the Pasta Palazzo with chicken. But its very hard to pass up on their filet...it's a really good piece of meat. Good service and prices.

My wiffe and I go hear when we go to the movie at River Oaks - or when we want something like a nice pizza and a glass of wine in the bar. The good is consitently excellent in this place and it is amazing that a place so large has such attentive service. Full marks to the management and the chef - if you haven't been or have not been in a while- go back. You may find like my wife and I did that it has actually gotten better than we remembered.

Decent food. What did I remember? The olives or I should say the olive plate. They were the best olives I have ever had! How different can they be? The only difference between green olives and black olives is ripeness. Unripe olives are green, whereas fully ripe olives are black. Some are big some are small. Such is life. It has to be how they are cured which in this case seems to be seriously, a warm cinnamon based fluid. Killer! They are so good I'm going by tonight to get take out olives and bring them home and try to pair them with one of my mystery wines in the fridge... The ambience is very nice, warm earth colors mixed with romantic lighting. BUT the music is inappropriate for the restaurant. Kind of like playing "I've got friends in low places" in a 5 star restaurant bad. All the time. How bout Italian music? How novel.. The wine list was impressive. The owner/manager was pretty well informed. Lots of different wines from Italy as well as the standard Calfiornia Whites and Reds.. even a few french. They didn't skimp there. Would I go back? Would they please change the music?

20.Russo’s New York Pizzeria
4870 Beechnut St
We first went here as an afterthought while holiday shopping in Meyerland, and were certainly glad we did -- this place is amazing! HUGE oversized slices came right out of the oven onto our plates, and a surprisingly good rich, creamy New England clam chowder. The only thing that could use a little work was the iceberg salad, which was cool and crisp but a little bland. Definitely reminds me of the family-owned pizzerias up north, even down to the slightly sullen teens working behind the counter. Have returned here several times since our trip in November, and will be back again soon!

I have been going to this restaurant since 2007. I love this place. The food is to die for. The owners are super friendly. Its a very low key place, its very romantic. I recomend any one to go and try it out. just dont be in a hurry just it takes a while for the food to be done, but it worth it . I would eat at this place every single day if i had the money and the economy was so bad. the food is pricey but its worth it. i have taken friends, my sisters, my coworkers , and my boyfriend to this place .. everyone loved it . I have been to other italian restaurants and i hated it. everyone is always talking about olive garden and how great it . lets just say olive garden doesnt have anything on this restaurant. i love the lasagna. oh god. its amazing. and the chicken alfredo is amazing as well. i love pasta. and this place has the best pasta in houston. the best italian food in houston. if you have never been here , you have to try it.

It was my 10th Wedding Anniversary last week and we wanted to try someplace we had never gone to. My husband's favorite food is Italian. The ambiance was wonderful as it was a welcome change from the larger chains we frequent. Our waiter Armando was superb. He made the evening so successful by his charm, friendliness and helpfulness in suggesting different items. We had a wonderful leisurely meal. The lobster bisque was fabulous!!! My pasta dish was excellent (Armando picked it out). The veal parmesean wasn't quite as good as my husband has experienced at other places but our service by Armando made up for it. Thanks Armando for a delightful evening! Can't wait to go back and sit outside!

Thankfully Chuck is back, and the food and service have improved drastically. My daughter, and a party of about 20 went for dinner New Year's Eve, and everyone raved. My daughter has declared the pizza crust the best in town, and we're going back tomorrow.\r I raised her right, so if she says the crust is fantastic, I believe her. I was born and raised in NYC, so I pride myself on my pizza standards.\r I have had most everything on the menu, and as long as Chuck is running the show, it has been perfection. \r Let's all give a big cheer that ""Chuck is back in charge!""

At first when you arrive at the place, from the outside you might think that you landed in a ghetto, but you cannot be further from the truth. \r \r When you head inside you might think that the place is a little run down, but all this just adds to the atmosphere of the bar. No matter what you order from the menu, it is ALWAYS fresh. The food is absolutely delicious and is probably better then most of the ""Italian"" restaurants out there who put their mind and money into the decor rather than the food. The portions are very big and will make sure that you leave this place full, happy and satisfied. \r \r The service is fast and friendly. I particularly like that the owner and his wife are also there most of the time, showing that they actually care about this place and are not just there to make money. \r So if you are looking for a bar that is easy on your wallet, has a good atmosphere, friendly service and serves delicious Italian food, then this place is absolutely for you.\r \r

There's a reason why Tony's was named one of the Top 5 Italian Restaurants in America. The food is incredible and the service is the best! I have dined in NYC, LA, Paris and London, and Tony's is in the same league as the world's best. I have tried almost all the dishes and never been disappointed. They aim to please and don't worry if it's not on the menu, they'll make it for you!

All the staff was attentive, especially Henry our server. We had toasted ravioli, the steak specials (split with plenty of food), wine recommended (Palagetto Sotobosco), and the Italian Cream Cake. The sauce on the ravioli was awsome, the steak was tender and very flavorful, angelhair pasta and sauce perfect, dessert yummy.\r Atmosphere cozy and warm. Not a hurried place, made to feel at home. I don't usually write reviews but this one exceeded my expectations. \r Best kept secret in Houston.\r Dinner on 3-20-2010
