This place is absolutely terrible. I followed all of their instructions on their website and still got no where. I was already anxious to make this appointment and have really struggled lately. The poor quality of service just adds insult to injury. After muddling through the confusion instructions on the website, I called my insurance, paid the $3 fee to access the patient portal and filled out the information requested and scheduled an appointment. I was so proud of myself and felt good. That evening I received the new patient packet which was very confusing to fill out and nothing was explained in terms of using the electronic signature. I asked a friend to help and messaged the counselor back in hopes to get more information because scouring the website gave zero results. I wouldn't have asked if I had found my answer on the website. I received a message basically telling me that the information I needed was on the website and another message mentioning that although in network, they may not be able to help me because of one thing or another that I did not understand. Fast forward to a day later and I received a request for more information regarding the message they sent about the insurance information. You'd think a business, especially one for mental health services, would have better etiquette and more compassion. None of my questions were answered. Because I was so desperate I even asked friends to help. They, as well, tried to call to no avail and were sent to voicemail 4 times. Along with this, they state that the office doesn't even listen to their voicemail messages. Why even set one up in that case? Honestly one of the worst experiences I have ever had and if I were someone needing mental health services, I would NOT waste my time on this place.However, I am thoroughly surprised that after messaging the online portal and cancelling my appointment, I finally received communication and it seems things are getting worked out.

These guys are very friendly and educated well of there job at task. They show alot of kindness. I have had two services, the initial and a free return and hardly anything has changed. I was aslo very dissatisfied in the simple fact that I was told that if in the event that I new my auto draft for the quarterly was ever an issue that i could call in and negotiate to make the payment. For example,1. we are leaving on the 12th of this month and will be gone until the 15th for vacation. this means if the service is anywhere in that time frame we will not be home and they cant access the house (this should be a no brainer). 2. I told them i will not have the money in the account until the friday after the 15th. instead, they want to shedule it on july 4th in the morning (inconvenient). 30 days from the original service and only a few days after you would think would be negotiable especially everything they did on the free re-visit was infact the majority of an initial service with the back pack sprayer inside the house and out. On that note why is this not taken into consideration time length from services. Unless this is rectified soon I will be changing next year for atleast 15% cheaper with another company especially after finding out another alterra customer is getting a cheaper deal with the same exact service to the tee. Had good faith but it is no longer here.

We are new to the Houston area and were surprised at the huge number of bugs everywhere. Treating them ourselves hadn't made a dent in the numbers, so we had planned to contact a pest control service for help. As luck would have it, sales rep Ray Gonzalez happened to knock on our door as we were researching different companies. He did a great job of explaining everything the service provides and was willing to accommodate our needs, so we agreed to try Alterra. Service Pros Hayden Glazener and Josh Redelman came out the next day to treat the property and they were excellent! They explained everything to us and were so courteous and efficient as they took care of things inside the house and outside in the yard. They also took the time to let us know the problems they found, how long it would take before we noticed a difference, and what we needed to do in the event the treatment didn't resolve the issues. This is our first time with a regular pest control service and we weren't sure what to expect. But based on the service we've received so far, we're quite pleased with this company and would encourage others to try them.

My first treatment was performed yesterday by Evan Crowley. He was on time, polite, explained what areas he would treat before he began, did the work as described, then briefly explained how the work went when he was finished. He was also able to answer a question I had about the payment process to my satisfaction.In the interest of full disclosure, he did request that I post this review, because Alterra is trying to build positive word-of-mouth through their "WOW!" Recognition Program and he would receive a $5 bonus if I did so. But I was pleased with his work, so I have no problem with giving him a positive review.Overall, my initial impression of Alterra is that they are a bit pricey, but are trying to make up for it by giving more personable service. My only concerns are that they insist on scheduling a full year's slate of four more treatments in advance, and that they strongly prefer you give them a credit card when you sign up so that they can auto-bill you for the treatments, rather than accepting payment after each one.

Gulf Coast Exterminators
I have had my house serviced by Gulf Coast Exterminators for termite control in Kingwood and couldn't be happier with their work!!Me and my husband had bought a new home at the time and during the inspection, they found evidence of termites :O We called Gulf Coast out and their termite control technician came out the next day and did a free inspection. Based on their help, we chose to do a termite treatment the following week.Overall the service was great and there was no mess left. The owner called me to followup to make sure we were satisfied with the work! That's great customer service :)It's been over a year now and still no signs of termites! It was an easy procedure from start to finish. I have recently used them again for bed bugs and decided to write my review for the great past experience as well as my current one.The bed bug treatments are working out great as well! I will definitely use them again!

For those of you who gave out a low rating to Alterra because you saw bugs after their visit and left the gate open: you're idiots. If you have a specific need, like closing the gate, you need to communicate that with the technicians so they can write it on your account for future references. Besides that, your dog should be inside or in the garage during the service. I was told several times that there would be a slight increase in pest activity after they treated, but that it would die down. I've needed a couple of the free reservices, but that was expected. They had to come a day later than I was hoping, but they had to fit in into their route since they weren't currently servicing around my area of the city. TWO THUMBS UP FOR ALTERRA! Pest activity has gone down significantly. I was worried about my grandchildren crawling on our floors with the bugs, and the activity has gone down a TON. Thank you!

Based on the initial and first quarter treatment, I am happy with Alterra's pest control service thus far. The number of indoor pests has declined significantly and there have been no new ant beds since. The ant beds that were treated have died. For the first quarter treatment, a rep called my house and left a polite message as to the day and time the servicemen would be at my house. Ryan Stern and Thomas Estrada came to my house during the appointed time. They were dressed and behaved in a professional and polite manner, and listened to my concerns. I pointed out trouble spots in my flowers beds and they attended to them. One person took a long pole and brushed off cobwebs and looked for signs of hive formation that needed attention. The other person spread the pesticide on my front and back yard. They were in and out within 20 minutes. I hope there service continues to be this good. IshvN

Welinton was very polite and professional. He did a thorough job throughout the house, in the yard and garage. Time will tell if he was effective. We had only just started service with Alterra when we had to go away for a month. Upon our return we were very disappointed to find an ants nest in our driveway, numerous cobwebs above our front door, muddobber nests on our patio and a cockroach in the kitchen. We had just moved in before we went away so the house had been deep cleaned just 2 weeks before we left. The person who showed up the first time refused to spray inside the house nor would he do the garage which was almost empty at the time. Very disappointing. I was seriously considering cancelling the contract but will give Alterra another chance based upon Weliton's performance today. Royce S, Cypress

Alterra was recommended to me by a co-worker. At first, I was not very impressed. The servicemen were only at my house for 5-10 minutes, and I was still seeing spiders, ants, earwigs, etc. after two separate "treatments". When I called to schedule them to come out again, I expressed my concern and was able to talk to the regional manager. I found out that others had complained about the same servicemen and that they had been let go. They sent out another serviceman named Jeff Wolfe. He spent over an hour at our house knocking down spider webs, spraying, and setting traps (all in 100 degree heat!) I was blown away by his professionalism and attention to detail. Jeff has turned around my opinion of the whole company! I hope I can recommend him to be the person who comes out in 3 months!

We have a large roach problem and so when they showed up I thought, "hey answer to our problems". Paying around 90 dollars every 2 months didn't seem so bad then but after 4 months I have seen no change if anything the roaches have gotten worse but now that I'm really angered I asked our exterminator about the visit we have just scheduled and he told me that it is not guaranteed but they can do another service that will be extra cost besides my plan, (I'm thinking, "why in the world am I paying for this product if it is not doing its job?) so I ask how much the product is and he tells me he will ask someone and returns to his vehicle and disappears? I made the mistake of referring this company to a friend having the same issues I WILL NOT recommend this company to anyone ever again.

  • If the counselor wants to get a second opinion on the patient's treatment. If this is the case, the counselor should seek the patient's written permission before consulting another professional.
