Steve's Automotive By The Galleria
Steve's is so convenient - and they're friendly and fast. I've had them do everything from oil changes and state inspections to tire patches and alignments. They worked on my previous domestic economy vehicle to my current, import luxury vehicle. They are affordable and I trust them. Being a female, I've had other repair people try to upsell me on services and products that I probably didn't need - Steve's has never done that to me. I completely recommend Steve's Automotive!!

Christian Brothers Automotive West Road
I have been in to dealership 5 times re: check engine light. They never had time to diagnose & would need to have car all day. Those days I planned for this - light went off.Arrived Christian Brothers @4pm, they ran diagnostics & discussed results. Now making repairs & expect to complete before close.VERY IMPRESSED, I will be back!

CSI Collision Specialist
Signing the document for them to work on the vehicle includes a waiver on "not responsible for personal items". They use this as a license to steal what ever they want out of the vehicle and they won't be held responsible for anything stolen. Basically liars and thieves. Filed report with Harris County Sheriffs office. CSI could care less that their "long term, in-trusted employees are theives.

OUTSTANDING service! Another auto shop said that I would have to spend $900 on my ignition replacement and said I had a ton of other repairs that needed to be done. I took it to steve's for a 2nd opinion. He not only did it way cheaper, but said that three of the other 5 repairs were not real. I will always come back to Steve's Auto Repair. It's hard to find a reputable shop. I'm glad I found them.

Uptown Body Shop
After a HORRIBLE experience at Gillman Honda, I was skeptical of any auto repair shop. However, this place was the most professional, courteous and amazing place I've ever taken my car. I recommend this place to ANYONE needing collision repair!

Steve's Automotive By The Galleria
I have taken my car to Steve's for years and have gotten nothing but great service. Many times, I see that I need an oil change or an inspection and I pull in and they get it done. If they are busy, they'll tell me approximately how long the wait will be. Yeah, they may be a little pricey but comeon, they're a mechanic. This is your car. It's worth it to invest money in your car to make sure that it is running for a long time. I used to bring my car somewhere else and spent thousands of dollars thinking I was getting it fixed and it ended up in worse shape than it was in before. I like the peace of mind that I get when I leave Steve's and that's why I will continue to bring my car here.

Uptown Body Shop
I was referred to Uptown Collision by my Geico claims representative. We discussed the difference in the level of service compared to a high volume body shop and a smaller shop offerring the same repair services. Uptown Collision was located conviently closer to my place and considering my experience in the past where high volume body shop lost me in the rat race of their daily operations.Uptown Collision kept me informed on a timely basis of the schedule of repairs my 2012 Range Rover Evoque and clearly explained the reasons on what needed to be repaired. Shannon, Debbie, Hector, Marcos, and Steve went above and beyond addressing my concerns. They never tried to give me the run around or bs me. I consider myself a well informed consumer when it comes my vehicle since I take a hands on approach to anything that has to with my Rover. Uptown Collision allowed me the peace of mind knowing my car was in good hands. I highly recommend Uptown Collision for your service repairs. Shannon and Debbie will assure you that their world class level of service ultimately remains First Class!Thank you Uptown Collision for taking care of my baby!!!
Tips & Advices
Using a variety of tools and processes, many of which require specialized training, auto body mechanics primarily repair cosmetic and structural damage to vehicles after accidents occur. They can also enhance a vehicle’s appearance and performance by replacing and adding new parts to a vehicle’s body.
This depends on the severity of the work that needs to be done. Something such as paintless dent repair for a few small dents can take an hour. Whereas auto body repairs for damages caused by a major accident can take multiple days to correct.
All auto body parts can be repaired but there is a threshold for the level of repairs possible. Parts can be damaged beyond repair and would need to be wholly replaced.
Auto body parts can be made from a wide variety of materials, usually based on what the part’s purpose is. Vehicle frames body panels, bumpers, roof racks, and other items that need to be strong and durable are usually constructed from steel, which is known for its durability and resistance to rust and high temperatures. But aluminum is quickly becoming a popular material of construction due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Body kits and other aftermarket parts like spoilers and hoods can be constructed from one form of plastic or another.
Yes, the vast majority of car makes and models have aftermarket parts available for many of their components. But higher-end vehicles typically have less aftermarket parts available since they often use specialized materials and manufacturing processes that are difficult to duplicate for many aftermarket manufacturers.
