Flag Tree Park
This park is incorrectly listed as having closed. I keep clicking the "Report as open" link, but once I am there, the popup window doesn't let me do anything, the "Is It Open?" link in the window is not active. Flag Tree Park may not seem like much to the average passerby, but it has an interesting history dating back to 1941. Around Christmas 1941, just a few weeks after the attack on Pearl Harbor propelled us into World War II, area residents gathered at this spot to pray for our country, and decorated a tree and raised the American flag. The tradition continued for some years after, and local residents maintained the site until it was taken over by the county. Now, sadly, the tradition and history behind it have long been forgotten by most people as the two other reviews before me show, but I for one am glad in this city where so much of our history has been demolished, this park remains.

Donovan Park
Cute little park with off street parking. Parking is very limited though. Love that it is gated and only adults can reach to open it. Could use alot more shaded areas to cool off, specially with this Texas heat! Train is very cute and detailed. My son loved it
