Precious Glance Ultrasound
SUCH AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!We went to our appointment on Saturday (October 3rd) it was at 3PM and it was a breeze calling in and setting up an appointment time. She was very flexible trying to get us scheduled in so that my significant other and myself could both attend. She was very quick to return phone calls and voicemails we would leave. When we arrived, we got there 20 min early and she greeted us and took us in 10 min prior to our actual appointment. Her enthusiasm and love for her business filled us with excitement! She definitely took her time to get the most perfect pictures for us. We ended up finding out we were having twins and the excitement from all of us filled the room!!! She also really took the time to make sure I was comfortable the entire time i was there. We look forward to coming back again for the gender reveal!Precious Glance, thank you so very much! We truly enjoyed our experience!

Upright MRI of Clear Lake at True Medical Houston
Upright MRI did an excellent job with my MRI of the neck. I have a pinched nerve and could not lay flat for a normal scan. Upright did it with me sitting in a chair. While not claustrophobic, it was nice to have the open concept machine, it made the experience very comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful, and very professional. I got an appointment in one day and results returned to my doctor in less than 2 business days (scan on Thursday afternoon, results by Monday afternoon). Only minor negative was locating the facility. I had not been down Nasa Rd. 1 for over 10 years and the new roadway was a little confusing, directions could be clearer. But everything else was top notch. I would definitely recommend Upright MRI to anyone needing a scan of any kind!

Memorial MRI & Diagnostic
Completely different experience on two occasions: two years ago, fractured wrist, completely by the book, courtesy & compassion, NO complaints!! 9/23/2016: walk ins accepted. Rib & back injury, therefore walking wobbly. Full flat frontal fall on step-- unable to get up-- at least 6 staff members were at my side. all doing their best to clean up my scrapes, bring cold compression packs, sent for EMT just to assess-- he offered ambulance to hospital or home, staff took me ahead of line-- I was a walk in!! I could not have received more compassion or care. The staff was "over the top" with exceeding their specific job requirements-- all in the name of their organization's good will and concern for their patient.

HealthPlus Imaging of Texas
I was worried about going at first after reading one negative review but I do have to say that I was very happy. The office manager Lisa made it a point to come out and visit with me when she heard that I was having to be taken 10 minutes late due to a procedure before me taking longer than expected. She is very sweet and professional. When I left, Lisa saw me in the hall and thanked me for my patience and gave me her direct number if there was to come any problems. The facility was clean and very professional. The lead tech was patient with me while I was in the MRI machine. I am scared of tight confined places but she made it very comfortable. I will be going back if ever testing is needed.

Jackie at the front desk went above and beyond to assist me and my loved one during these times. She treated us like royalty and took our worries away. It feels like going to see family when we have to get tests every 3 months. We never have any problems and if we do, Jackie is a phone call away. Actually, sometimes she gives us a call to ensure there is no problem. I can't recommend this facility enough because of people like her taking care of our loved ones. I can never appreciate her enough. My name is Dana Bryant. We tried the rest. Now we have the best. Thank you so much. Our situation does not allow for mistakes and I am very confident to put my medical needs in their hands.

I have been to HMI on several occasions for imaging (both locations). I have always been treated with extreme kindness and respect. My family doctor is in another area and has other places he normally sends his patients. I always tell him to send my orders to HMI. I have been so pleased with their professional and compasionate treatment, I won't go any place else. I have had X-Rays, CT Scans, Ultrasounds & an MRI. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs imaging.

I had a wondetful experience at TOPS 3d bteast imaging. Prompt getting me into the appointment. Paddles padded to make procedure much more comfortable. The Technician was very professional and friendly. I don't know where a one star came from. Someone had a grudge. No I do not work for TOPS or anyone referring to TOPS.

Friendly, efficient staff. My appt was for 6:30, and they were right on time. The MRI tech took the time to calm me down about having an MRI done, and did it with a sense of humor. The staff treated me like a person, and not as just another lost soul in the system. I'm glad I was referred to H.M.I to get my MRI done.

I came here to get a Lumbar spine MRI and an EMG of rt shoulder and arm on 6-3-17. I was called right in, no wait time....the entire staff was very courteous and very friendly. I had to drive almost two hours, but I would do it again because of my good experience. Thank you, Healthplus Imaging!!
Tips & Advices
Radiological exams can be either diagnostic or interventional. Diagnostic exams are intended to detect the presence of a certain condition, like a bone fracture or a tumor inside the body. Interventional radiology uses imaging techniques to assist in treating a condition, usually through surgery, but the procedure itself is not intended to have a direct impact on the outcome of the disease.
The exact process of an exam will vary depending on the specific type of imaging procedure and the goal of the test. Patients will usually be situated near a machine that will direct the appropriate form of energy to the part of the body being examined. Technicians help patients perform the necessary steps to complete the process.
Most imaging exams do not have any immediate side effects. The most important side effect of many forms of radiology is the exposure to small doses of radiation. In almost all cases, a single exam will deliver a radiation dose that is too low to have any effect, but over repeated exposure, the risk of developing cancer from this radiation increases. Radiologists take several precautions to limit exposure on behalf of patients as well as themselves and their staff.
Results from an imaging procedure may be available almost instantly (as with X-rays and ultrasound), or might take a few minutes to develop. However, in some cases it will take a radiologist additional time to analyze and report on the images collected, so results may be delayed by a few hours or days.
Radiologists can perform a variety of imaging procedures depending on their specialty. Common examples include:
  • X-rays.
  • Computed tomography (CT scans).
  • Ultrasound.
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
  • Positron emission tomography (PET).
  • Interventional radiology: Using specialized imaging techniques to assist with surgery, either immediately before or in the process of a surgical procedure.
