I have been going to this location for 12 years, back when Dr. Fussell owned it and was horrified when it was sold. I took a chance after my first call with Office Manager, Betty, who was most welcoming and informative. My two small pups were assessed by Zack (no longer there) and Anthony, who was terrific with his nurturing personality. I was in shock when I took my 17 year old Bichon in to be euthanized, and the vet on duty recommended one more round of different meds (That did not feel right to me, but I complied.) Several weeks later it was crucial to be done, and Betty recognized me, took me out of line, and immediately sent me to a treatment room. Both Zack and Anthony handled the preparation-- I am diabetic which they realized and brought me a chair, water and a cold compress. They were sympathetic with their questions and empathy exuded as if Josey was their dog. I cannot imagine there being any more services or procedures offered to me or Josey. At least a year went by until I visited again. Betty new me by name-- I still had my now 13 year old Poodle and a now 7 year old rescued, abused, stray Schnorkie, who still shutters around new people. Somehow Anthony and he became friends. BUT then I met Dr Diana Blessman-- aka Blessing!! Just about the most empathetic Veterinarian I have EVER engaged-- and I have had dogs for AT LEAST 20 YEARS! She is concerned about owner's understanding of diagnosis, treatment and aftercare. Her patience is never-ending-- none of my perhaps mundane questions irritated her. She has become my "forever vet" along with my referrals to the practice. I've had a few more visits and appreciate their relationship building. This is now run effectively and politely, and there is a new tech, Trayell, that also seems quite competent and loves animals. BRAVO-- I am there for good!!
I took my dog to TLC after the clinic I was going to didn't have the staff that day to see him until late in the afternoon. I called TLC and they told me to bring him in immediately. He ended up being a very sick little guy. He had pancreatitis and then developed diabetes requiring daily shots. They worked with me repeatedly giving him the shots and then when he became insulin resistant, euthanasia was the only alternative. They supported me during this time as well as sending me flowers, a card signed by all the staff, and a donation to the College of Veterinary medicine & Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M in honor of Riley. This allows for future research to give our animals better care. Three weeks after my loss, a member of the staff contacted me about a couple needing to find a good home for their two year old Yorkie. To make a long story short, I have had this beautiful little guy for over a year, and he has been a God send. I have been blessed with him, new friends who provided me with him, and TLC. I also want to mention their boarding facilities....clean, friendly staff who truly care for your animal, and onsite of the veterinary clinic in the event of any emergency while you are away. If you want a facility who cares about the quality of life of your animal, this is where you will go. They have good hours, caring staff, patient staff, and two of the best veterinarians you could ever ask for. Thank you TLC for being there for me and my precious dogs. Riley lived a short life, but he never doubted the efforts you bestowed upon him. Augie is a lucky guy to have the best services in the area! -Mara Y.
My husband and I have two chow-chows and two cats, and the staff here at TLC Animal Hospital is great with them! We've been coming for a couple years now and have always had positive experiences. We rescued a kitten last year that sadly had some neurological problems and had to be put to sleep. The entire staff was amazing during the entire process: during the diagnosis, care management, and during the kitten's last days. They even sent a beautiful card afterward letting me know they were still thinking of us and our loss, and knew how painful it had been. The staff always call after appointments to follow up, they always take the time to answer all your questions, even if you call at the last minute, I have never had a problem scheduling appointments, refilling medications, etc. Their love of animals shows and my pets LOVE going. They know when they are going to the vet and it isn't a word we have to avoid in our house, they actually get excited when they go! One of our dogs had an aural hematoma this past summer and we were at the vet's office frequently, and even though it was just one dog that needed to be seen, both dogs always ended up going, and the vet never minded. They adore the dogs, feed them treats, have their own cats that wander the place and love on customers looking for treats of their own. If you love pets, and are looking for a truly animal friendly environment, this is the place for you!
Copperfield Animal Clinic
I used to love them... I have to say there are two vets, that by my experience, are wonderful here.. Dr. Potter is my #1 star (love her!) and Dr. Zeisloft (she was very professional and wonderful with my dog), I reccommend her as well, hence, the two stars. Unfortunately, I'm fustrated with them for a number of reasons, not related to the vets, but more with their policies that bring the whole quality of this place down.. 1. They are super expensive- never walked out spending less than $300, for regular visits and that's only when she's well.2. They only give you paper prescriptions rather than approve a simple fax when you buy medicine online. Let me tell you, don't ever let them sell you medicine, you'll pay triple!!! So you get stuck mailing the prescription which takes easily 3 extra weeks to get the medicine... Good thing my pup isn't dying!! - Very frustrating and lazy on their part (the receptionist). - This is the deal breaker for me!3. I went to another vet another time and they didn't want to cooperate sending my dogs history information... again, very unprofessional.I guess the big issue is more the receptionist and policies, they are too tough when we as customers are paying for a service... they don't want to ease or be helpful. They used to be great, not anymore. Not going back. You'll get a good vet, and a handfull of bills and complications.
I don't know how many stars are in the sky but Dr. Parham, the owner, deserves them all in this rating. He REALLY cares about your animals and your wallet. I have been going there since the day it opened. It is not fancy dancy to keep the prices down but it is a life-saver and my first stop. If a cancer doc is needed or a specialist, Dr. Parham will stabilize your animal until you get get to one the next day. Bring lunch, books, music and after just checking in with the front desk, just steps from parking, give them your cell number and wait with your animal/s in the car to be comfy. Don't let a couple of office people turn you away with their inexperience. Behind those doors is a precious, smart, caring vet who is so worth seeing. Call ahead to see when he himself is in especially if you have a sick or injured animal. If there are office glitches like ordering online, always use the fax. Phone orders don't work --they are too busy. Patience and getting to know them will change your life and help your animals. I mean this with all my heart.
We have been using Braescroft Animal Clinic for a couple of decades; first for our house rabbits and then for a couple of cats that insisted on adopting us. For the last ten years, they have helped us care for our dearly loved rescue sheltie. The facility is always clean and well equipped. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and competent. Dr. Lisa Lowenstein is always aware of new developments, best practices, and treatment standards. She is an excellent diagnostician and a competent surgeon. She is passionate about good nutrition and is a true expert. (My background as a medical librarian as well as an informed pet owner enables me to be an accurate judge of her expertise.) Dr. Lowenstein takes the time to communicate clearly with her clients. Our Miss Mandy Whitepaws enjoys her visits as do we. The convenient Meyerland/Westbury location is also a plus.

Forest West Animal Clinic
The facility is really nice, clean, bright and cheerful. There are cameras in each room and parents can watch their children from a computer or mobile device for a monthly fee. There are also extracurricular activities (tumbling, dance, music, art, soccer and more) offered so children can get extra enrichment during school hours. They also offer chapel for the kids where faith is introduced to them in such a fun and engaging way. We have had some fantastic teachers in addition to ones who weren't the right fit for us, but no matter what, the school has worked with us to find the perfect fit. Most important: our kids enjoy their time there and truly believe the staff loves them. Can't thank them enough for working with me to give me peace of mind that my kids are happy and thriving.
Just paid my first visit to this clinic with my 3yo Maine Coon with a bladder infection. Not only were Dr. Bill Eikenhorst and his staff incredibly kind and courteous, but Bill was incredibly astute in his diagnosis and cause for what my cat is going through and offered an intricately thorough, well-translated explanation I could understand. Prices were fair (lets face it... doctor visits sans insurance are never cheap), facilities clean, in and out was a breeze, and I wasn't crammed in a waiting room amidst a crowd of people and fussy animals waiting to be seen. This is one of the few clinics in the area I've found that allows walk-ins on Saturday morning (8-11). Will certainly return in the future.
