Tire 59
I have been doing business with this company for 15 plus years (started at their location on Glenmont) and they have always doing an excellent job with all my tire and wheel needs. I bought wheels and tires yesterday and they were $970 less then Discount tire. They were 22" wheels and tires and the same exact wheels and tire. I love this place and only buy my tires there. Great job keeping their prices down for the same wheels & Tires.

A1 Tire & Wheels
Bought a new pair of rims and tires based off price. They were cheaper than most. What a MISTAKE! 1ST- They took 2 hours to put on new rims on my truck. 2ND-*they didnt give me my centercaps to my rims. I had to drive back out and pick them up.3RD- My truck was shaking badly so i took it to another local shop to get balanced thinking that may be the problem. That tire shop told me 3 of the new rims i bought were crooked. So i called A1 TIRE and explained that my truck was shaking and i was told rims were crooked. Sat there for 1.5-hours then they tell me ok we balanced the tires again... Theres nothing wrong with rims. They are not cracked. So i said ok lets go and test drive. So we go test drive and its still shaking like crazy. So guy says ok yea its shaking let me go look at rim again. ... Waited 3 hours and they tell me ok its all done. I said DID yall put me a new rims? This needs to be fixed today. RESPONSE- oh you have to come back again anyways because we dont have these rims in stock but i already ordered more. So i wait a week/ Had to take a day off of work and go back again so they can put me new rims on .... 1st i'm told yea it will be 20 mins- we have to go pick up from our other shop. Then it turns into oh they wont be here till 4pm. So i had to go waste a whole day waiting on these ppl. Beyond fustrated. Will never shop at this place again! I have been here 4xs and it took them 8+ hours to replace my crooked rims they sold me! Never once did they apologize. They kept saying oh its your truck. Communication sucks! Service Sucks! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE! I WISH SOMEONE WOULD HAVE WARNED ME BEFORE I PURCHASED.

I went in for an estimate because the guy Ray or Roy told me they did alignments, differentials, oil leaks, etc. He looks under the hood and tells me about all the fluids I needed. I said, what about the other things I asked you to look at and to quote. He brings some idiot mechanic out that asked me do I want the "shake down" on my car because there's hundreds of parts. I told him, duh! No, I want you to do a visual inspection under my vehicle and let me know if I need the things I mentioned, and if you can't let me go, im frustrated. The fool drives my car around and doesn't even tell me its ready and left the key in the ignition and the car running. The kids are fools, I won't ever go back and won't ever recommended anyone to this business run by thugs and kids. Poor service.

Tom's Auto Repair
He charged me $225 for repairing 'Check Engine'. The light again came up after two weeks. However, the inspection went through. His wife advised the light would go eventually. But it persisted for a month. Took to his shop, he was rude and said there are 5 sensors and the one that he repaired is okay. I don't have the time or habit of arguing with him. Lost $225 dollars.Second instance too was horrible. He took $90 for replacing a pair of head Lamps, which cost half its eBay's price. He is not a man of integrity. However his wife has some manners and is polite.

Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
