Coffman Plumbing Company
The gentleman (Wayne) left here about an hour ago. I called with an emergency this afternoon and had someone dispatched immediately. My garden tub was leaking from upstairs through my living room ceiling. I was watching the water mark grow as I spoke to the dispatcher. She gave me clear instructions and guided me through steps to take while I was waiting. I was in all honesty absolutely freaking out and seeing visions of the tub coming through. When Wayne arrived he introduced himself, put down a mat outside, and put booties over his boots. He immediately found the issue, and fixed us up in a snap. He even showed what was wrong, why, and preventative maintenance for other areas. The best part... It didn't cost an arm and a leg, AND the company offers a military discount. He took a few minutes before he left and told me about the company. I like that he knows the owner, and his family. I have his card, and with the poor construction in this house, imagine I'll be seeing Wayne again. 24 hours a day, and they have an answering service. Always a live person. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
Tips & Advices
Usually, a leaky or dripping faucet is an easy fix that can be done by anyone who is even slightly handy with tools.. To fix it, first shut off the water under the sink then remove any decorative parts of the faucet and replace the washer and O-ring before reassembling everything.
To keep yourself safe from fraud or a possible scam, always remember to ask plumbers for their license along with a written warranty for their labor. Besides this, further safeguard yourself by checking their references and ensure they or their company is insured and bonded to do their work.
If you're having hot water issues, you can examine the thermostat and adjust it accordingly. If you hear odd sounds coming from your water heater, it could be due to sediment building up. To get rid of this, make sure you clean out the heater every few months. However, if you hear a boiling noise, it could mean the heater is overheating and you should call a plumbing professional as soon as possible.
Frozen pipes are hazardous and can cause massive amounts of damage to your home. To prevent your pipes from freezing during the winter, run your faucets at a trickle and keep your house's heater at 55 degrees Fahrenheit or above to keep the water flowing.
  • Be mindful of how much water you use in your bathroom, kitchen and even outdoors when watering your lawn.
  • Make sure your toilet handle works properly and doesn't stick.
  • Replace old shower heads with more efficient low-flow options that can cut down on the gallons of water you use each morning.
  • Turning off the water while you brush your teeth
  • Only running your dishwasher or clothes washer when you have a full load.
