I Filo to Mccully bike shop mainly for fishing gear and the guys at the fishing department are really helpful in giving advice or a second opinion on a fishing setup. Also you can get custom wrapped whipping/plugging/sliding/and baitcast poles here from Island Rod Wrap (IRW) from Kennith Kimura. If you know anything about custom poles then you know how much of a difference a custom pole and stick pole tapers.
I also buy stuff for my BMX bike there at the Mccully but they have a different location for the shop. Sometimes they replace my inside tube or the hand brakes for free. Super helpful and down to earth people work at that shop and I highly recommend this shop. It's also close to UH, convinient location if you attend UH.
Bought a tire and the new tube here and proceeded to change it in the back of the shop. The salesman asked me to leave... apparently, once they had my money they didn't want anything else to do with me.
Its a bike shop... I wasn't in anyone's way and I wasn't bothering anyone. I needed to change out my tire so I could ride to class. A BIKE SHOP SHOULD SUPPORT THE BICYCLE COMMUNITY. McCully doesn't care about the bicycle community... they just want your money. Go to "The Bike Shop" 1149 King instead for a better store run by cyclists.
