United Recovery Project
In a nut shell U.R.P. gave me the hope I have been searching for my entire life. In many ways this place saved my life. Most apparently the entire staff showed me love and proved to me that I am worthy of loving myself. My therapist specifically inspired me to believe in the future and strive for greatness. The other clinical members were compassionate, empathic, and accommodating to All of my needs. The rest of the staff through the duration of my stay was supportive and encouraging which was all I needed to stay motivated when I became unwilling. I would recommend this place not only to someone struggling with addiction but anyone who wants to re-invent their own life because United Recovery Project stands behind what they preach and teach and truly care about the individual! Thank you U.R.P. you all saved my life.

I love URP! I was so scared to leave Ohio and go into a rehab, but from the second I walked in the door they made me feel comfortable and right at home. The staff never made me feel like I was a burden even though I was probably really mean when I first came. It was such a great experience to finally get help and then to help guide others that came in after me. I am so thankful for the relationships I formed here and I know I will be in touch with my new family for years to come. Thank you, thank you for such a great experience.

Recovery In The Light
I am so truly thankful for RITL. The professionals at this Treatment center saved my sons life. He is 10+ mos clean, sober and productive. He wanted and tried to stay clean in our NJ, 28 yr home town. In and out of rehabs for 5 yrs. only to relapse within weeks. HE chose to research out of state treatment centers. HE called and made ALL the arrangements to fly to Fla, 1075 miles away from his home and unconditionally loving family. The beginning of his detox/rehab/treatment was not easy for him but as the days passed and he listened to what he was being taught about his disease he started feeling comfortable with the professional staff. He opened up, shared his addiction with others and made all NEW friends that offered meaningful support to him. He now calls them, his extended family. My RAS worked his program that was created for him. He uses the soberity tools he has been taught by his counselor and sponsor. He attends meetings, is a motivational speaker, does service work, got involved with a home group, Service work and has a F/T job. I could go on with his story. He has made Fla. his permanent residence. NONE of this could have come about without his determination to be sober and finding a spectacular treatment center that caters to each individual in a unique way. The learning tools have taught my son a New Beginning into his lifes journey being clean and sober. One Day at a Time! ....Can turn into months and years of clean time. Thank You RITL for teaching my son to smile again and love his life, sober. You all are now OUR extended family.
Tips & Advices
If you don't have insurance, you may be able to find outpatient programs like Narcotics Anonymous that offer counseling and meetings for patients at no cost.
Some facilities accept health insurance like United Healthcare, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Humana and Medicaid. Many carriers support in-state assessment, detox and outpatient treatment. Some also partially cover residential or inpatient treatment. Because drug addiction is considered a disease, major health insurance providers must treat it like any other chronic condition that requires medical treatment. Be sure to inquire about co-pays and deductibles so you don't receive a surprise bill months after you start a program.
Yes. Some treatment programs promote quick sobriety through seemingly impossible means, such as herbal supplements or religious affiliation. Be wary of questionable claims like, "Shake your drug addiction in one week!" If the advertising sounds too good to be true, the program could potentially be a scam. Instead, look for organizations that include approval and certification from real doctors and health care providers.
Yes. Attending a program that is specific to your drug of choice will make your treatment much more likely to be impactful and successful.  Some provide certain users with medications like Valium and Xanax to counteract symptoms of distress associated with alcohol or drug withdrawals. You may not want to attend such programs if you fear that you may instead become addicted to these substances.
Yes. A physician can determine how severe your addiction is, which will help you decide if you want to try inpatient or outpatient treatment. He or she can also consider any withstanding health issues such as psychiatric conditions that should be factored into your decision. Next, check out facilities and programs that offer treatment for the substances that you abuse.
