Tim's Towing
Looks like I am not the only one with a bad experience. This guys refused to tow my car that they towed 4 days before in the same condition. The guy I talked to on the phone got down right rude and even hung up on me. Very unprofessional. I will go out of my way not use them and I will make sure as many people as possible will know to do the same.

VERY UNIMPRESSED!!!!!!This company is a lying, deceitful company that is out to screw their customers. They have no concern in how their drivers handle the customer. I would NEVER use this company or recommend them to anyone!!! And, actually giving them a star is being generous.

Quality Brake & Auto Service
I first used Quality Brake Service many years ago and still trust Marty to this day to work on all of my vehicles. Not only brake work, but anything and everything that goes wrong with my car or trucks. He gives me a professional diagnosis and an estimate of what it will cost to repair. If the estimate goes higher, they will contact me to let me know why and how much more so there is never any surprises. I recommend him to everyone I know, and have never been disappointed with his services. Father and daughter team that work well together. Keep up the great service!

Marty is great! We recently experienced an issue with our car, I didn't even call to see if he could look at the car, we just dropped it off and by the end of the day he had the issue resolved and had us back on the road. Our family is grateful for the awesome service we received. Not that we wamt car issues, but it is a relief knowing that Marty and his crew is available and will take care of us and our vehicles.

Christian Brothers Automotive
Super staff. Tells you the issues going on, but not in an intimidating or pushy way. Comfortable waiting area. Courtesy towards customers is exceptional and they go above and beyond with extra service. When was the last time the mechanic washed your car after servicing it? Pickup and drop off service as well as early hours are available for free and make getting your vehicle worked on easy to navigate with work and other responsibilities. I have been there on three separate occasions and received the same service consistently.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST. They lie, they overcharge and they go through your personal belongings. I WOULD STAY AWAY. Also the owner is rude and does not care if his company does wrong by you. In fact he will hang up on you if you complain......

ProTech Automotive Service
My son took his vehicle there to have a minor repair he had asked them to be sure to call his girlfriend prior to any repairs with an estimate, it was written right on paperwork. When they finally did call it was to tell him it was ready, and they ended up charging him a ridiculous bill. We tried to discuss this with them and they asked to leave and never come back and they were going to call the police. Bad customer service.

Westside Service Center Holland - Automotive & Transmission Repair
These guys are great. Friendly staff, knowledgeable & honest about what you need to fix & what can wait. They also gave me a free evaluation (unlike other shops in Holland), a ride back home & even let me make payments instead of one huge lump payment. I only wish more repair shops were like these guys & their manager Steve (nice guy). Anyway, I highly recommend them.

Ray's Automotive
Excellent work at a reasonable price. Ray is very personable and trustworthy. He explained what was wrong in layman's terms and also helped me prioritize future repairs so I can budget for them.

James Galea week agowhile traveling through Holland , had obvious brake trouble . It was after hours and I drove by this repair facility and checked to see if any one was available. I found a very friendly and helpful owner willing to look at my vehicle. Marty, came out to our vehicle and made a recommendation to either stay in motel in area or drive back home 1.5 hrs., slowly, and get our second vehicle to drive to our long destination. He offered to repair the vehicle first thing in the am., but we decided to drive home , only if okay to drive. Marty indicated to drive home would be fine., 80 miles or so, and get another vehicle to finish our trip. I would stop by any time and recommend this facility , they can be trusted and helpful in all situations.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
