    I wish I had another choice in power companies. Georgia Power has been terrible to me. when my husband deployed I was late on one payment.. the first payment I was ever late on, and they sure let me know I was late and they charged me a $150 late fee. over a year later now and we have moved down the street. we moved in February, it's now june. We scheduled the power in the new house to be turned on at the same time we scheduled the disconnect in the old house. Well apparently the power was never disconnected. now we're being charged for 4 months in which we never even stayed in the house and all the breakers we're off. Funny how this time I was never notified of a late payment but they sure let me know it before. The only reason we found out was because we stopped by the old house to grab the mail. (there's still no one living there). Why didn't they notify me after 4 months of no payment? Maybe this was on purpose, who knows. I just wish there were better options in Hinesville. Georgia Power does whatever they want because they know they can.

  • Catch up to the 21st Century

    I have been with this company off and on for the past 10 years, depending on where I live and I think it is crazy that they still don't accept credit or debit cards in their facility. Wake up, as much as they charge for electricity you would think they could afford a debit machine to make it a little more customer friendly. If there was another company that gave them competition I would change in a heart beat.
