Don Stillwagon, arrived on time at the promised time. He explained what the situation was once he evaluated it, and how he was going to handle it. And in a short time the issue was resolved to my satisfaction. Don has been in the exterminator business for years and worked at one time or another for all the big corporate exterminators. We used him on and off over the years for flea issues and carpenter bees and carpenter ants always with success. He knows what he is doing and his prices are alway fair and far below what the bigger firms charge. Great service and great prices from a great guy that has the knowledge and experience to help with any pest problems you may have. Call the rest for estimates but call him last to do the job, his prices are always better and service top notch.

After speaking to one of the regional managers I stated an ongoing issue with ants. Was told someone would schedule a follow up. No one did.I called back and spoke w someone in cs and had someone out to respray immediately. There is some disconnect somewhere.Staff that arrived Andrew Paul plus two others were attentive and courteous. I assume ant issue is handled and will check in a few days.

Jacob came promptly to my home and completed the initial services. The services included an external sweep where he removed 2 nests. Jacob actually came when Comcast was doing a service and Jacob removed an active wasp nest. Jacob was professional, knowledgeable, and approachable with questions we had and I would recommend Jacob as the tech for your next service with aptive!

Alex Robertson was at my home on time for my quarterly service. He answered any of the questions I asked and showed me where he would treat for my newly found carpenter bee infestation. I have not had any ants in my house since hiring Aptive earlier this year, and I have not seen any stink bugs and far fewer spiders than usual.

Micah Reitze was great. He serviced our entire property with ant pellets and spray in the rain. He was very courteous and professional and informed us of what he was going to be doing before he started work and before he left he told us everything he did.

Very diligent service. Eric Jamieson came to the door at the beginning and end of service. He made me aware of an area of ants. He even told me if they do not go away with the treatment provided to call Active back and they will return no charge.

Tips & Advices
Ask your pest control company about no-kill traps you can use if you want to get mice, rabbits, opossums or other furry creatures out of your house without harming them.
Many pest control experts now offer environmentally friendly treatment for your home and yard with insecticides that aren't as harsh for the ecosystem. Check with exterminators around your area to see if they provide these kinds of services. Also, keep your plants free from harmful chemicals by spraying cedar oil or soapy water on your flowers.
  • Dispose of garbage regularly.
  • Don't ┬áleaving food or drink out.
  • Clean up after spills as soon as you can.
  • Drain any standing water in your house or yard.
  • Regularly mow and rake your lawn.
If you find insects and other animals trying to get in through cracks or openings, use a caulk gun to fill the gaps. You'll also want to either use traditional bug spray or a citronella candle to keep bugs such as mosquitos away from you during the summer months.
The price for exterminators can range broadly since they can charge for a monthly inspection and treatment. The final bill also comes down to the square footage of your property.
When pest control technicians visit your home or place of business, expect them to first identify what insect or other animal it is that's causing trouble. After identification, they will inspect your building to see where the pests are coming from and locate their hive or nest. Then the exterminator will spray or set out traps and bait according to which pest you have.
