In response to the woman who took her "matted" dog to Top Dog, maybe you should look at the way the condition of your dog, that might give you an indication of how well you take care of your dog. If a dog's hair get's matted that means that the dog hasn't been washed and/or groomed in quite a while. As for the "cuts", sometimes that happens as it does to humans who get haircuts and the scissors nick the ear or suck. I'm sure it wasn't life threatening. As for your dog being "scared", I'd be scared too if it was probably my first bath and haircut in it's lifetime. Frank is an excellent groomer, has plenty of repeat business and is always gentle, caring and professional. Maybe you should wash and groom your dog more often so the matting doesn't occur again in the future. It's not Frank's fault, it's the dog's fault - it's the owners fault. (And btw, his shop (garage) does not look like a torture chamber, it just has a lift for larger dogs so it's easier to groom them.)

My poor dog was matted something bad, but this groomer butchered my baby. He has cuts all over from his testies to his ears. This was his first visit to the groomer and now I feel he will be scared for life. I'll never take him to this establishment. My daughter cried when we left because the garage it is done in looks like a torture chamber to her. I should have listen to her instinct.
