This is in response to cherokeelady21. It sounded like you were implying that they messed up your spark plugs when they changed your alternator. 1) the alternator has nothing to do with spark pluggs...when was the last time you had them changed? 2) some cars require the coil pacs to be changed when you replace the spark pluggs, otherwise you will run into more problems. As for your comment on the mechanics.....there are so many makes and models of vehicles around that it is impossible to know everything about every vehicle, sometimes you have to rely on an outside source to confirm on what is thought to be. My family and I have been taking our vehicles there for years and are very pleased with the work they do. Yes, every now and then it takes a little more to fix than what someone who doesn't know cars would think, but its something called troubleshooting. Look it up. And last of all, if you don't take care of your car, which is what i believe happened in your case, this is what will happen. I hope you learn from your mistake ma'am.

NTB National Tire & Battery
Best to schedule an apmt, but not necessary. They are under new management and things have gotten a lot better. They offer a rd hazzard warranty that's comoletely worth it if you're planning on going out of town at any time, because you can go to any of there locations or partner lications and have it honored. They offer really top of the line tires at competitive prices. These guys were really nice and knew what they were doing. People complain in other revuews because if the wait. But I'd rather have my car worked on well, then have some idiot rush. I had a quick tire chamge once somewhere else and 3 days later my tire blew an hour from home because they put it on wrong. Take the time to have it done right and have them check your car out for other stuff. They do it for free. At least I know my car is safe now and I can take my kids to the beach this summer without worry. Def recommend.

Discount Tire
All I can say is thanks to them. When I had my old car. I had a flat tire and changed it with the spare and brought in the flat tire. They changed it for me. Went back and got the other side changed and ask them to tighten the one I fixed. No complaints no nothing they said yes. Made sure my tires was good for me.

Bob Killian Tire Sales
I have been buying tires here for over 10 years. They always have the best pricing compared to Discount Tire, White tire, and a couple other local shops. They have a huge selection of wheel and tires. I always show up and they have whatever I need, no waiting for stuff to come in.

Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.
