This doctor is good, but their policy and bill's management are dishonest. His staff will never explain you all the charges they may apply to you. After few weeks you will receive a bill for unexpected things like "Cancellation fee" if you can't make it to an appointment. I've read many other reviews online, and I found that there are lots of people in the same situation, They have received a variety of different unexpected charges. This is not ethic. I'm a low income person and still managed to paid my consult in cash (As they require if you don't have insurance) for the amount of $350. I couldn't make it to my next appointment and therefore they charge me $35 dollars for cancellation. If I didn't have the money to go to my appointment, how come I will have to pay $35 dollars for nothing? I feels like they just take advantage of the poor...

Dr. Luis G Rangel, MD
As an RN I choose Dr Diaz Rangel for my oncologist after having worked with him and knowing his expertise and his treatment of patients. He is kind, compassionate and intelligent. His office workers always greeted me kindly and I would highly recommend this office and doctor.

Whatch out IT IS A WARNING!!!! I had surgery with him in 2010.I started gaining weight again and I wasn't doing anything wrong! I went to his office TWICE asking some explanation and HIS ARROGANCE and CAPITALISM made feel so frustrated! My OWN doctor, who did my surgery, who I paid $18k from my pocket REFUSED to request an exam to check me out saying on my face it was my fault and sold me his "weight loss program" which cost $4,000. Another Doctor found I had a fistula and I am re-doing surgery.

More than 4 hours waiting.I had an appointment for 12pm. At 4:30 the doctor came to see me. Because I asked him why they take appointments for 12 if they can only see you 4 hours later. He was so upset with the question and yelled that I did not the right to question him because he is the doctor. I was just asking to give all patients information. I hope the medical board could do something regarding that. It is unacceptable considering the number of elderlies waiting for him.

This office left such a bitter distaste due to the unprofessionalism of the From desk staff agent. I needed to have medical records sent over from another clinic and the agent told me she would call and take care of it. I waited my turn to see the doctor and he seemed nice , but clearly unprepared for our visit due to the fact that he still didn't have records at hand. He asked me questions about the last date that pap was done and results of pathology that I was unsure the exact terminology for. I explained that his office staff told me she would take care of getting medical records. He asked me to go back to her to expedite my request. I walk back over to her, meanwhile I'm search for the number to the other clinic. I ask her if she called the other clinic and she explained to me that she did. I asked her who she spoke to cause I was calling again right now as we speak and she stayed silent. As I continued with my call, she says to her colleague that she could not deal with people's attitudes. I asked her if she was talking to me or about me and she responded that she was talking to herself!!! Really immature!! Mind you that this woman is not young of age. She is in her thirties , maybe even forties. I responded by stating the she did not need to get defensive and that if she didn't know who she spoke to she could've clearly just responded by saying so. I made contact with the other clinic and they asked me to call them back in 10 minutes. I walked into the room to wait for the doctor to exam me. He began to take my blood pressure and asked me if I suffer from high blood pressure and I honestly responded that I don't. I usually have normal or low blood pressure, but I was very bothered at that moment because of his front desk agent. I explained to him that he needs to coach her that she deals with the public and needs to understand that we are patients that may have health issues and she should be helpful and compassionate rather than defensive and rude. The doctor honestly didn't really seem like he cared.i came to this office because I have some bad cells that may potentially turn into cancer if left untreated. Furthermore, I have my mother suffering from stage 4 cancer right now as we speak ( this info was also disclosed to the doctor ) and a person's health is such a delicate thing that can't be placed in the hands of people who aren't caring. I wouldn't recommend this office.

I was very and truly sick of my nerves for few years,.. horrible anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, depression, acid reflux, etc., and affecting my job, my children and my home. When seeing other doctors for a long time, I never experienced significant changes. I found her on my insurance's list of physicians. After being on a totally different treatment by her for about a year now, I can say today that I am my true self. No symptoms, just a calm and good mood, and concentrated in all I do. She has me now slowly weaning from meds and I keep feeling great. This is all that matters to people that are truly sick and desperate, with no life. Everyone has their own style. Thank you Dr. Alina!!!!
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
