CCLC At Hershey
I had my baby here from about 4 months to a year old. So many things I loved about this place. We had to transition to another daycare since, but I often consider accepting the inconvencie just to send him back here. The teachers would often take him directly out of my hands and give him a kiss in the morning, like they'd missed him overnight. They treated them like their own. Noses were always wiped. They wash all the kids hands before they eat - have not seen this at our current daycare. They were great about communicating with us - did we notice he wasn't eating as well at home this week, he seems to want crackers that other kids have, would you be willing to provide some, we noticed he seemed to be teething so we refrigerated the bottle nipple and it seemed to help soothe, we noticed his diaper ointment isn't quite getting rid of the rash, here's another we're familiar with (worked great!) etc, etc. The room is smaller than some others, but at the larger one we moved to, I think this is sort of great - if they were feeding one baby and another was crying and another needed to be entertained, they'd bring both babies over and take care of all 3. Babies didn't just sit crying on the other side of the room. I will always hold a special place in my heart for the teachers in this room. I did also do a walk through of some older rooms, and they seem to have great curriculum in place. The kids all seemed happy and well mannered, sitting together for art. They're definitely doing some things right here.

Hershey KinderCare
I rated this 1 star, I wish I could rate it negative stars if I could! My son went to Kindercare for over a year and it was the absolute worst care ever! We were new to the area and didn't know much better at the time but our child literally got sick every week and had to stay home, so the area manager actually gave us a $600+ reimbursement for all of his missed days due to the constant illnesses he would pick up from there which just solidifies that the staff totally recognizes this terrible issue in there facility. The teachers were never consistently there, it was literally a revolving door and the longest a teacher was there would be around a month, our children need consistency so that was bothersome to us. Luckily, I was able to pull our son out of Kindercare and teach him everything at home myself and he excelled immediately and we were able to play catch up from everything he missed out on learning while in Kindercare.
