1st Gear Transmissions And Drivetrains
These are honest people. I took my 10 year old Camry in with some issues and expected the need for a major repair, which they could have sold me, but after the diagnosis, turned out I needed some repairs but not a complete overhaul. I appreciate their honesty and I had my car back in 3 days.

1st Gear Transmissions And Drivetrains
Buyer or customer beware!! I paid Ryan for a used vehicle that he had listed for sale and it turned out to be a lemon. We took it back to him and asked him to do a diagnostic to tell us why we were getting these computer code check engine lights on our dash. I signed off to pay him $80 for this service. He did not get back in over a week so I called him to find out if he had figured anything out yet. He replied that he started fixing it without our consent and so far he had $700 in costs thus far and it wasn't even fixed at that point. We being naturally upset at this said that we were not going to pay for this because we were never told what this was going to cost before he started the work. His response was that he would keep our car and apply to have our title taken away to pay off the money owed to him. We we did not pay the $700 bill but instead we paid $600 in a discount he offered only for that day and our vehicle must be removed from his parking lot by the end of that day. He told us this at 3:00pm! When we picked up our vehicle it was missing a trim piece. When we asked him about it he asked us to leave and he walked off. This has been the worst mechanic experience of our lifetime. We will never be back!! I will give the transmission shop next door to him my future transmission business. If you must do business with him be sure to get everything in writing and be VERY clear not to do any work prior to you knowing what it will cost. Horrible service and he talks down to you as if you don't know anything! Horrible service! We will never be back! I am taking my business to North Main Automotive where they treat their customers with respect!

Dave's Discount Tires
My car was taken in to get new tires. We were told then in order to pass inspection, we needed a new brake line. He was generous enough to put on a new tire and put on the brake line and did the inspection. When I received my car back, my drivers side window will not come back up without assistance. I just had that window repaired a couple months ago and it was in fully working condition. When I called this morning to have it fixed and let him know about what happened, he talked over me, would not allow me to talk then refuses to fix the problem his company broke. He says they don't do windows and it's not his problem. I will NEVER go back to this company again and will be notifying everyone I know not to go there. If you break something, suck it up and correct the problem. Not hard but apparently it is for these guys!!!

Laurel Park Auto
Made a mess of my car's steering and braking systems this past summer. Asked for a portion of my money back, they hid behind paperwork and claimed that I should have continued to bring the car back for more service.

Auto Barn
This place is HORRIBLE!! Please don't bring your vehicle here. The guy who owns it is a pill head and will ask you to pay for his "medications" or his light bill. The guy working with him is an alcoholic and in trouble for child support and will say things are wrong with the car that really aren't.

Henderson County Automotive
I use HC Automotive fairly regularly. The times when I had an urgent issue with my vehicle, they always did thrir best to get me worked in. Due to the extensive knowledge the have gsined over the years, they've always been able to fix it right the first time. I would certainly recommend their services to anyone who wants their vehicle repaired or serviced properly.

I've dealt with a lot of auto shops, dealer shops and garages , and Autoworx is as good as the very best of them... Having worked with tools my whole life I can tell when people like as well as know what they are doing, and these folks clearly do... We have an older Tundra and an older Honda, and Autoworx has done considerable work on both.... In every case they have communicated clearly and competently about the issues, have given good quotes, and have always been accurate in regards to what things will cost... If something additional turns up they let us know... When there was an issue with some work they did, they listened carefully, check it out, and remedied what was going on quickly and competently without any additional charges...They are also really nice people, caring and courteous, and actually fun to be around and engage with... I highly recommend them to anyone needing work done on their vehicle...

Jiffy Lube
I got the my oil changed in my 2010 Chevy equinox last week and the people at jiffy lube did a Half A## job doing my oil change.. They forgot to tighten the oil filter on my car which in return caused my car to leak oil and leave spots all over my driveway.. I have five other friends which have had the same or similar issues with this place.. There is no excuse for this Half a## kind of work...

Tire Country on Hendersonville Inc
I go to Tire Country for all my repairs and maintenance. Before I bought my last set of tires, I researched prices online and then called them. I got the tires I wanted at a great price. I wish there were more family owned businesses around like this.
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
