Richard W. Featherstone, DDS
Dr. Featherstone re did my crowns I had on my upper front six teeth after one of them started to leak. Like a lot of people I had to learn the hard way that even if a dentist claims to be a cosmetic dentist, they may have no experience or qualifications to do so. Needless to say my old crowns looked fake and were of poor quality. I was talked into getting them by my old dentist instead of veneers. There was no medical need to have crowns. It was strictly cosmetic. I'm guessing he took this route because he was more familiar with crowns and not veneers since he was not actually a cosmetic dentist. So when I needed my crowns to be replaced not even 5 years later, I found Dr. Featherstone. I could tell right away Dr. Featherstone was very knowledgeable about cosmetic dentistry and took the time to answer all of my questions. He listened to what I wanted and changed whatever I didn't like. I was on a time crunch as we were moving six weeks from when we started the process. I wouldn't recommend doing this. All in all it worked out and I get compliments all the time on my teeth. I get told everything from "your teeth look so nice and look as if you really take care of them" to "you could be in a toothpaste commercial." I had never been complimented on my teeth before. Dr. Featherstone and his staff were very nice, knowledgeable and seemed like they really loved working there. I'm sad I moved away but glad I took a chance and had my teeth fixed by Dr. Featherstone. Not only does he fix mistakes made by other dentists, he and his staff also take the time to make sure you are knowledgeable about taking care of your teeth. Now I use a waterpik everyday, rinse with Closys mouthwash and wear a night guard at night. I would highly recommend wearing a night guard. I grind and clench my teeth and now I don't wake up with my molars and jaw sore anymore. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Featherstone for all of your dental needs. Especially if you are thinking about cosmetic work. Learn from my mistake and don't settle for a dentist that claims he can do the same work for less money. The saying couldn't be more get what you pay for.

Desert Dental
Doc and I have been "friends" (as dr/pt) for 3 years now. I have extreme anxiety at the dentist office. I start shaking and sweating (Even just driving down Valle Verde on my way there or passing it on a Sunday afternoon on my way to the grocery store and Dr Benjamin has been so kind as to go out of his way to make me feel comfortable. I've had extensive dental work done as of three years this May have had many many many teeth replaced Along with implants. Dr Benjamin has always gone out of his way to make sure I'm comfortable sometimes he'll does the exam out on the sidewalk or standing in his office) just so I don't have to be anywhere near the chair. He bends over backwards to help and make sure his patients are comfortable and he does a great job with me calming me down when I get there so that there's nothing for me to have to worry about despite the fact that I'm shaking from anxiety. People can often be nice, & that has nothing to do with their personality it's got everything to do with the bad experience of your past life needing a dentist Like Dr Benjamin who understands anxieties and works very hard to make you as comfortable as possible in his office. I give the Doc two thumbs up and thank him for everything he's done I love them dearly I just don't want to have to go to back to the dentist anytime soon… :-)

Prestige Dental
I found Prestige Dental on the internet because I started having a lot of pain on a Friday evening and needed a dentist that is open on Saturday. I didn't want to have to go to an emergency Dentist. So I called on Saturday morning and asked if they take new patients on a Saturday. I explained I was in pain and I was told to come in within an hour. Long story short, I had a root canal. I'm not rating this Doctor on his personality because I don't know him. To me a Dentist is a Dentist. (I don't like going). But I am rating him on his work. Excellent work. The only discomfort I felt was keeping my mouth open. This place has it together. I've never been treated where the Doctor didn't do everything. This made things go quicker. His staff know what they are doing. His office staff are excellent. So friendly. To the patient who complained that Dr. Tang is bad and didn't explain etc, well, that's your fault. People need to take control of their Healthcare. I'm sure if I wanted an answer from Dr. Tang, he would have given it to me. I wont let him do anything that I am uncomfortable with. I would recommend Prestige Dental. The Doctor did a great job, the staff are great .

Prestige Dental
I love this dentist office. Dr Awwad is such a fantastic dentist. He is very warm, personable and explains everything in detail. He is very honest and will suggest the best way to go about your procedures based on your insurance and your deductible. He is very gentle as well. The the best doctor!! now the staff and the communication. Top notch is the first thing that comes to mind. Erika is the office manager and is the sweetest. She has incredible communication skills. Asia is the dentist assistant (she cleans your teeth, so not sure if she has another title). She is so personable and is so full of "dental " information. She has told me many things that have never been told to me before that have really helped in my personal oral health. Everyone is great! Lastly, you will get text messages up until the day of your appointment that remind you of your appointment which is very helpful when you live a busy life. Also, I have never, and I mean never, waited more that 5 minutes to be seen. The office doesn't double book so your seen right away. If you are looking for a new dentist, i highly recommend this dentist group.

Big Apple Dental
I went in thinking I was going to be stabbed with long needles and put under; leave with chubby cheeks and throbbing pain hours later. Being told from my peers. Instead ten minutes after the short needled, painless 'lidocaine' injections, he began to extract only my top fully grown wisdom teeth. Fifteen minutes later, he put the instruments down and rinsed my mouth out. I was assuming it was a break for my jaw, but then Maria his assistant handed me gauze and instructions for care as he was explaining also. 'Wow!' He was very polite to answer all the questions I had and so was Maria. He then scheduled an appointment for the next week to see my healing process. The next day he also called to check up on how my pain management was and to see if I was still bleeding; what a friendly thoughtful check up. I had little to no pain taking 2 OTC anti-inflammatory/pain relievers every 4-6 hrs. My total and all experience of this visit was way over my expectations. Thank you, Dr. Farahmand and Maria for the non-stereotypical dentist visit. I've been handing your cards out to all my friends and family!

Southridge Dental
I've had nothing but the absolute best experiences at Southridge Dental. Moreso than I've had at other dental offices. Their waiting room is immaculately clean and ultra comfortable. The ladies at the front desk are very accommodating and helpful. They always quick to greet me and make my experience enjoyable each and every time I'm there. My hygienist, Corbin, really knows her stuff and is always gentle and does a superb job. When she's done, Dr Hahn comes in to do a quick check and greet me and is, and has always been, super personable. In all, I couldn't be more pleased with Southridge Dental and its affiliates. It's disappointing that it received a poor review by an individual who sounds like he was just having a bad day. I'll always come back to Southridge Dental. Thanks, Dr Hahn!

Prestige Dental
Im sure there are plenty of great dentists in my area but I'm willing to drive from OC to Vegas to come to this dental office because I'm never disappointed in the services I've received here. Dr Tang and his staff always delivers top notch service and professional advice. Some doctor's office will tell you to do more expensive procedures just so that they can make more money. At Prestige dental, they actually care about the patient's best interest. I always feel well informed about every procedure beforehand.Staff is friendly and organized. They are very gentle and careful when giving me pain medicine/numbing medicine. I'm super sensitive and I never felt pain or discomfort when I was getting my porcelain crown or veneers. Thanks guys and prestige dental!

Especially Dr. Hendrickson and Valerie! I enjoyed the staff in front and the woman who did my cleaning of my teeth for the first time in my life it never hurt! And for me that is a challenge that it won't hurt! Love this office!

Richard W. Featherstone, DDS
Great Experience !Dr. Featherstone is OUTSTANDING!!! My daughter has recently lost both her front teeth. This normally wouldn’t be a big deal but she is having photos taken and it is a must to have all your teeth! We spoke with Dr. Featherstone and he quickly got us in on the schedule and within no time he created snap on teeth for her. I didn't even think it was possible to do such a thing. Now with a full set of teeth and a beautiful smile we are ready to go. Thank you again Dr. Featherstone for everything you and your staff did. I highly recommend this dental office.

Additional to another Jaw Issue, I saw Dr. Boi regarding a painful molar. He investigated and determined the tooth had to be immediately removed. Upon showing me my tooth disfunction in the gum, on his television screen, I agreed to have it excised. Both his technique for anesthetic injection and the tooth's removal were flawless. The man's technique is superior to any dentists I have seen in Washington, D.C., Miami, St. Louis, Beverly Hills, or Reno. Dr. Boi is as courteous as he is skillful. The equipment he has is second to none as well.Use his services for SUPERIOR TECHNIQUE!
Tips & Advices
  • Pick Your Plan: Most people purchase three main varieties, usually through their employers.
    • An indemnity or fee-for-service plan means you'll have to pay for annual deductibles and co-insurance payments out of pocket.
    • A preferred provider organization is less costly, and you choose from a network of dentists. However, PPOs have some limitations and accompanying deductibles.
    • A dental health maintenance organization plan limits you to just a few choices of dentists, and one doctor handles all of your oral care needs. However, these HMO are usually much less costly.
  • PPO plans and dental HMOs work with only a select number of doctors. While that usually means fewer costs, it also means you have less choice in the dentist who can treat you Before purchasing the plan, you'll receive a list of dentists in each network. From there, you can then pick a plan with doctors who meet your standards and requirements.
  • When picking a plan, you need to look at just how much you'll pay for each and every service. For instance, some plans won't cover your fillings or X-rays, while others may charge more or less for a crown or tooth extraction. You don't want to be caught off-guard by unforeseen charges.
  • If you're truly comfortable with a dentist and you feel he or she can be an ally in your ongoing oral care regimen, then consider signing a plan to just keep that dentist available. That means potentially deal with costs and other insurance-related factors that you might have wanted to. If need be, you might be able to work with the dentist's office to address some of the plan-specific concerns.
  • Ask family, friends or colleagues for recommendations. They will be able to provide details about a dentist's demeanor, operating style and approach to patient care
  • Meet with any prospective dentists to ask about what treatments they perform most often, procedures they're not as familiar with, what accreditation they have or any organizations they belong to and how their offices handles insurance and payments.
  • Consider driving distance, location and office hours.
  • Check With Your State Board: The state board can outline what requirements your dentist must meet and offer information about any discrepancies in the their background and if he or she has faced any disciplinary actions.
  • Remember Your Angles - When brushing your teeth, always place the brush at a 45-degree angle..
  • Don't Forget the Tongue – Your tongue is the largest source of bacteria. Brush it front to back and don't forget the sides.
  • Floss Everyday - Each time you floss, have at least 18 inches of floss available. For optimal control, hold the floss between your thumbs and forefingers.
  • Watch What You Eat - Sugar, alcohol and coffee contain phosphorus. While some can prove beneficial, too much of this chemical can eat away at your teeth and gums.
  • Keep in Mind the Mouthwash - Mouthwash can be helpful if used to supplement proper brushing and flossing. Most mouthwash brands contain chlorine dioxide, a chemical that targets the majority of oral bacterial strains.
Yellow teeth are the result of a number of bad habits, mainly smoking, drinking too much coffee and improper nutrition. Many dentists will treat with a whitening procedure.
These painful bumps are the result of irritation to the soft tissue of your mouth. These sores can make brushing almost impossible. There are a number of different causes for sores, including anemia or a vitamin B-12 deficiency. Your doctor will have to examine the bump, find its cause and then develop a specific treatment plan, including the use of corticosteroids to reduce inflammation or antimicrobial mouthwash.
