Sunset Oasis Landscapes
When do you plan to pay Leisure Lawn for the artificial grass we sold you? Your check bounced 5 months ago. You're first excuse was that you were in the hospital and couldn't take my calls. I felt terrible and believed you and apologized for bothering you. Next day your company is out of business (I was told by the lady who answered your phone.) Now I hear you are back doing business?? How? You owe over $500,000 according to your bond company, who cannot begin to pay back your debts that you owe to over 15 other landscape companies around town. Our $1100 is chump change compared to the debts you owe. My hope is that people use the internet to inform them to steer clear of rip-off artists such as yourselves. Since your bond company can't possibly pay everyone back, my hope is that u quit taking advantage of trusting, honest people.

Brandon and Kim Collins owners of Sunset Oasis Landscapes LLC are crooks. They take your money and don't finish your project per contract. We paid them and they did not pay their vendors now we have 2 liens on our home totalling 25k. Beware of this business stay away you will be sorry. They also don't stand being their warranty of replacing dead trees and plants. Here's anexample.

It was a pleasure working with Dennis and Sue at Backyard Connection. They took a dirt and tumbleweed yard and created a paradise. From the flowers and shrubs, rocks and spa! Their work ethic is amazing.

Backyard Connection
Great service, no up sells and quick installation! Needed rocks added to landscaping to close a house. Backyard was able to come thru for me. Even though it was a small job, it was done well.

Backyard Connection
Needed to clean up my landscaping front and back. Lots of dead plants, broken sprinklers, lights etc. A crew of six came out and whipped into shape in a day. I noticed they were very organized and efficient. Now my yard looks great and the sprinklers work properly. GREAT VALUE TO THE SERVICE.

Releaf Landscape
My wife and I hired releaf to landscape our back yard and to do some work in our front and side yards not too long ago. The owner gave my wife a great sales pitch and price quote so she hired them. these are some of the issues we had with Releaf. On all but two days, only one worker showed up to work on our project in the Summer heat. The wokers left behind two large piles of debris on the street in front of our home for days. This resulted in us receiving two violation notices from our HOA. There was a total of five days that nobody showed up at all to work on our project. The plants installed were very small and very overpriced. some of them died not long after they were planted. We were told by the owner that all plants had a thirty day warranty, however, no one from Releaf never returned out multiple attempts to contact them to advise them on the situation with the dying plants. The main water supply system that they replaced was not installed properly. We had two very large leaks and two of out trees that we already had in the back yard for years died due to lack of water. There was no communication between the owner and the worker at our project. The worker kept asking my wife and I what we wanted done because nobody had told him. All in all, I would not recommend Releaf Landscaping. The lack of professionalism, ethic, and customer service is one of the worst levels that both my wife and I have ever seen. Do not waste your time or money with this poor excuse of a company. Fortunately, we have found and have been working with a much better landscape company to fix the horrible work and many mistakes that Releaf had done for us.
Tips & Advices
Employers must conduct all required training in a language and vocabulary that workers can understand. Training must demonstrate the hazards of operating certain machinery, like stone cutters and splitters, as well as how to use them appropriately. It's important to verify that your landscape contractor has taken the necessary steps to fully train its personnel and that the appropriate safety precautions are in place.
Check the specific regulations for your area, and verify that your contractor has the necessary licenses. These may include a state contractor's license, pesticide license, CDL driver's license and license to sell and purchase nursery stock.
Landscape work is not cheap, so it's in your best interest to make sure that it's done to your requirements and that you get the best contractor to do the job. Homeowners should know how much they'll need to pay for the contractor's service as well as how they will be billed for this work. Ask about any design fees, if quoted prices are fixed or estimates, and what the payment process will be. Clarifying these items in the beginning will prevent any surprise expenses.
Yes. Homeowners should require that the contractor submit certificates verifying compliance with safety, insurance, workers' compensation and drug and alcohol testing programs. This will give you peace of mind that the contractor has gone through all the steps under industry regulations.
Yes. Every good contractor should have a list of recently completed jobs that you can see in their portfolio. They should also have a list of references that you can contact, or properties that you can see in person.
