I was thrilled with the service I received at Midas Muffler on Windmill Parkway. I went in for an oil change. While doing the safety check the mechanic found a couple of other issues that required attention. They were happy to show me the areas that needed work and explained what they needed to do.They were also happy to prioritize the work, doing what was necessary immediately and allowing me to schedule the other work after the holidays when I could better afford it.Service was very reasonably priced and quick. Everyone was friendly, professional and courteous. The facility was clean and comfortable with free wifi, charging ports and refreshments.I'm pretty old school and used the same trusted mechanic for 25 years, until he died. This Midas gives old school service. I've been floating from mechanic to mechanic for a couple of years and am happy to say that I will be returning to this particular Midas, regularly. I'll also be sending friends and family their way. Thanks, guys! It's a relief to have a trusted mechanic handling my vehicles, once again. See you after the holidays!

My vehicle was towed in to this Midas earlier this week, and I've got to tell you, I love these guys. I met Corey, one of the new owners, and Tyler. They told me they had just acquired the store and were trying to restore Midas' good name in the neighborhood. While I expected my bill to be thousands of dollars (as I have a luxury SUV), they told me it was just my alternator. Approximately $450 later (including the tow) and I was back on the road. The guys were very helpful and went through everything. My car runs great now and they even gave me a free soda for the road. They set up an appointment for me to bring it in to make sure that there were no more issues. I would highly recommend these guys. I don't know what the old owners were like, but, considering they only charged me $450 when my suv was towed in, I am totally confident in these guys.

Duaine's Automotive
Our truck broke down last night and I found Duaine's Automotive through a google search this morning. Not only was Bob willing to get us a quote as fast as possible, he was able to have the repairs done the same day. The issue ended up being minor but the fact that he squeezed us in to get the vehicle back to us same day was very impressive. Not a lot of businesses do that. Bob called to tell us the issue and since we needed our brakes replaced we asked him if he could do those while he had the truck and it was no problem. The price was very fair and the work was great. We will definitely be using Duaine's Automotive again and again. I don't write reviews very often but I felt they deserved for people to know what great they are.

I will never take my car anywhere else! Dan the manager was incredibly honest and professional and very very helpful. IThe mechanic let me into the work area and showed me exactly what was wrong with my car and proved the the rotors in the rear were beyond repair. He also showed me what was wrong with my control arms bushings and told me he didn't recommend that I let them get worse but said if I absolutely had to they would be ok for a little while, again nothing but honesty!!! No one will ever touch my vehicle but them from now on, not even an oil change!!! Thank you Dan and team, you have earned a very loyal customer

Big G Auto Repair
We were in Las Vegas visiting family and our car's air conditioning went out. We called countless repair shops and dealerships but they all couldn't help us for 2 or 3 days, but when we called Big G they got us in right away and fixed our air conditioning in less than 2 hours. The service was so friendly and absolutely amazing. We couldn't believe how helpful George was, and told us that if we needed anything else before we left town just to stop by again! The prices were absolutely fantastic too, he didn't do charge us for anything more than we needed. Whenever we are in town and need anything we now know where to go!

Not joking....great service, great people...honest, reliable, dependable, ...In this town it is so hard to find "HONEST" car service places and the car "stealerships" are just a total rip off .. I'm glad I have a reliable mechanic Rick and his staff are honest and will let you know what is up with your car and make sure you get great service... give them your time and business you will see for yourself...Thank you for taking great care of me Rick and Joel...I know I can ALWAYS count on you and that you will never let me down but take care of me ALWAYS...Thank you for your awesome service.

Duaine's Automotive
I have been going to Duaine's for over 4 years. If there is problem after service they are prompt to fix it. But that happens rarely. I compared their prices before the first time I took my car in, and they were little less than some of the chains. I enjoy being able to support the small business owners in our community with getting excellent service. Bob has always been honest with me, he tells me when a problem needs to go to dealer.....unlike some who would charge for something that is not in there realm. I am going to take my car there again tomorrow, considering the last post I will let you know.

I brought in my Dodge Dart for basic oil change and inspection. I don't typically go out of my way to write a review for a business unless I had an absolute horrible experience or totally awesome service. I'm glad to say that this experience was a good one. These guys will be straight forward with you and answer all your questions with undivided attention. That kind of simple service seems hard to find these days unfortunately. But you can expect to get a quick, easy, and efficient service if you take your vehicle to this location. I plan to come back next time for sure.

I'm always a little uncomfortable going to get my car serviced because there many places that might take advantage of my lack of knowledge or understanding of my car's parts and needs. Being a female, I can't say that's never happened to me (sadly)! The service I got at this Midas was great! They made it simple for me to understand what was done and why. Staff is friendly and extremely helpful, very cool and personable. They really seemed to be looking out for my (and my car's) best interest! I'll definitely be going back there for my future service.

Went to the Midas location at 2620 Windmill Parkway in Henderson the other day. The staff was very friendly, I was not forced into purchasing service I did not need. Best of all, the mechanic that worked on my car found a problem that could have cause a lot of problem if not detected because I was getting ready to go on the road. I am very pleased with my visit. The price I was charged was very reasonable and fair. Overall, I am glad I decided to visit this Midas location and will certainly make return visits in the future.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
