2.Perino's Boiling Pot
3754 Westbank Expy
The owner of Perino's Boiling Pot, Sam Perino has been in the seafood business nearly 40 years. Perino's Seafood opened its doors in Harvey, LA right across the street from the current Perino's Boiling Pot in 1972. After growing out of the smaller location, Sam had a vision of moving the seafood business into a much larger and updated location in 1992. Sam Perino's Seafood & Deli is located at 6850 Westbank Expwy. Marrero, LA. Sam had a vision of opening a simple seafood restaurant, just boiled seafood and oysters on the shell. In 1994 Perino's Boiling Pot opened its doors in the old seafood location. Business was booming and the Boiling Pot quickly outgrew its small location. Across the street was a vacant building that had been several unsuccessful restaurants, the deal was good and Sam jumped into it. After 2 months of remodeling, Perino's Boiling Pot opened its doors Superbowl Sunday, January 2000. Sam expanded the menu to include boiled and fried seafood. It stayed simple a t first but quickly grew as did the business. Sam's daughter Vicky is the all-around manager of the Boiling Pot handling all aspects of the business.

I arrived with a party of six at 12:30, so the place was packed and required a short wait. I'm not one to get upset about waiting, so that wasnt a problem. The food was excellent and the service was great. It's not often that you eat with a group and everybody's food arrives at the same time and every item is hot. The prices are extremely reasonable and the portions are large. On a 1-5 scale, I give it a 10.

This place was really good the one time I went. We called ahead about 45 minutes for call ahead seating and when we arived there were people well out the door. Thanks to call ahead seating we were seated in 5 minutes and once our food was ordered we had it in less than 30 minutes. The steak is super tender and cooked to perfection. The rattlesnake bites are spicy, but if you are ok with that you will LOVE there. The bread is really good, but I don't care for cinnamon so I skipped the special cinnamon butter. The sides are kind of small. Try the ranch dip, it's out of this world.

This place is small and sits in a corner, but dont let that stop you from stopping by. They have a great variety of latin food, real homemade authentic dishes at GREAT prices. Their pupusas are excellent and they have a good variety. I would recommend this place to everyone. The only thing negative I could say is that I wish they were open on Saturday.

I was never a huge fan of Chinese cuisine, but I tried this place yesterday based on the YP reviews. I was craving it for some odd reason but wanted to make it worth my while. I am so glad I went here because their food was AWESOME! I ordered the sweet and sour pork special combination plate with a side of Chinese donuts and fried meat wontons. I believe they gave me sweet and sour chicken instead, but I'm glad they did because it was delicious! I love that the fried rice is actually FRIED rice like Chinese rice is supposed to look and taste like. I also commend them for having many options to order from here. I was working when I put in my order online to be picked up at the perfect time as you can choose between sooooo many different times and even a date. By the time I got off from work, got to the restaurant, it was already ready to go. Their sweet and sour sauce wasn't too thick like some people sauce is. They are very affordable too, VERY! This will be my new hot spot for Chinese food going forward.

If you love the true French Quarter flavor or want to experience it for the first time, then this is a must. Anytime the sun is shining I get "Pat O" fever. The open air court yard is absolutly beauuuutiful! It will bring you back to another place and time. The fried shrimp is melt in your mouth delicious. The staff is always exceptional, welcoming and friendly. Of course, you have to try a traditional Pat O Hurricaine while you are there. But be careful, only one, that's all you need. This is my all time favorite fun, fun, fun resturant. Love, Love, Love this 'have to go to' place!!!

Hands down best (I Know, I know...) Bloody Mary in the Quarter, possibly New Orleans... And the food is way better than you think when you walk in... If you're lucky enough to stumble in you're sure to be dazzled by how well you'll be taken care of... Try the chicken fried steak with white sawmill gravy along with eggs, grits, and biscuits... You're welcome...

On our first trip to New Orleans, we had heard many great things about this restaurant, and we were not let down at all. we highly recommend making reservations before you get there. We were there during the Garlic Festival. My whole meal including dessert had garlic in it. The whole meal was magical and very romantic.

Very well known, upscale restaurant in the French Quarter. It has a great menu which was not inexpensive but very well worth it. The food was most excellent. When dining out, I appreciate the food, the atmosphere and perhaps most importantly the service. The staff was friendly, respectfully and seemed to genuinely care about us enjoying our dining experience. I would give the atmosphere an A, the food an A and the service an A as well. I would definitely dine there again while in New Orleans and highly recommend it to others.

I don't even know how to describe the food here and the customer service other than AMAZING! The food was so good that I had to take a picture of it before I inhaled it, to savor the moment. I went here maybe 2 months ago or a bit less than that. I ordered the 1/2 fried shrimp 1/2 fried catfish platter which also came with two good pieces of buttered French bread (authentic New Orleans French bread at that, MUAH!), a salad, and a side. I had the potato salad and did Italian dressing for my salad. The salad was FRESH! That is very important for me when ordering a salad. The potato salad wasn't overpowered by mustard or any one ingredient. It was just right. The fried seafood had the perfect amount of seasoning and fried perfectly golden but not overly nor under fried like some places do. I even had the local root beer, Barq's....in the old school bottle. I left the waitress a $10 tip. She was nice and so was the guy there. The portion was perfect too. I got full for my buck. I highly recommend eating here especially dining in. Its a laid back, casual, and relaxing atmosphere especially if you're a local like myself and you just want to feel at home.
