Choukri Auto Services
Had a friend recommend this place for a very last minute repair. Explained what I needed done to Mr. Choukri and all was agreed upon in the time that was outlined. The day the repair was to take place, the vehicle wasn't even touched. Not to mention that no contact was even attempted to be made about this ahead of time even though he knew when I needed the vehicle back. Later I called to find out that Choukri's excuses were that his one mechanic was "too tired" to complete the repair, the repair was deemed a 2 person job (I've done this repair myself on other vehicles on jack/jack stands - this is a single person job), he didn't have the tool needed for the repair (this was a typical suspension repair tool that any competent repair shop should have - It's a $60 tool, PLUS you can rent it same day at any Autozone or Advanced Auto Parts store), and he also somehow burned himself on another customer's radiator fluid. I was a bit pissed since the repair needed to be done that day, but he promised to have it completed the next morning. After thinking about it for a while I thought about how I was allowing this person to complete a critical steering/safety component to my car and that not only was my safety on the line, but more importantly my Wife, my sons and any other person(s) on the road ways life could be at risk. I have no idea how this guy has a shop, but I'd think twice before having this guy touch your car. I had the car pulled before he even touched it, thankfully. Don't risk it...

Barry's Auto Service
Worst experience ever. Do not go to this mechanic. He had me running all over town to get my own vehicle parts. And then threw my old vehicle parts in my vehicle for my own disposal. Talk about being stressed out calling every place you can think and then waiting for ordering pieces online so that your vehicle get inspected . What a stressful process. I never had to go through so much work and then him being such a jerk and degrading on top of it. Very poor customer service

Palmer's Service Center
These people are wonderful. I recently bought a used car. Before I purchased it, I took the car to Palmer's. I asked them to look at it and they did (even though it was near closing and I stopped by without an appointment) Dan found the problem quickly, (alternator) and said he would fix it the following morning. To my surprise it was fixed before noon. I came back 2 days later for inspection. I mentioned to Dan that I replaced the battery, but the start-up seemed wonky. He went over the car again and immediately fixed a starter issue. Meanwhile, in the office, Nichole patiently helped me navigate an insurance issue and new ownership tags. They really are honest and timely.

Midtown Tire & Auto
Great service, honest, reasonable prices, need I say anymore? I have been going to Midtown Tire for over 8 years now, and have never had anything bad to say about the experience. Even if something was not repaired properly, Dennis has always made it right without charging more than the original price.

Howard Tire & Auto Inc.
Sold me 4 tires then came back and said they didn't have them. They wouldn't give me my money back, so I had to get tires that were not what I wanted. Two weeks later, 3 of the 4 tires are losing air like crazy.

Howard Tire & Auto Inc.
This place is a rip off. I went there for a used tire, they said they didn't have any used tires only new ones for my truck, they recommend I needed windshield wipers because they were worn out. They said they would put them on for 30 dollars. So I agreed. A week later it rained and my wipers weren't working correctly. I checked my wipers and they weren't changed. I called them and they said bring it in we will replaced them. I told them I was working out of town and it would be about a month before I got back. So when I get back in town I go back to get my wipers replaced that I already paid for and they said the guy who was suppose to replace them was fired and they spoke with Howard and he said he wouldn't honor it. So they didn't perform the job they had me pay for then when I come back they said they wouldn't honor it. After I already spent about 2000 there in the past 2 years. So much for customer service. I will never return here and I would never recommend anyone there.

Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
