Let's get down to brass tax. It was less than $100 to get my dog seen by the vet and assistant. I know that sounds super rude to say first but it matters and people don't talk about how cheap they are for how much their facility can do. so I will. we brought our dog in for the same issue but with a different vet's office; it ran nearly $180. And I didn't feel as satisfied when I left them as when I left Todds lane Vet (went after condition got worse). TLVH seems like they would like to try many avenues to come up with the right one for the client (budget) and do what is absolute best for the Patient. I have and will continue to send them business and they will have ours until we get orders.

Went in because my dog had been a little slower than normal. The vet was very professional and her time was valuable to me. However I was charged $34 for 0.5ml of a medicine called metacam. Went home to look up how much petmeds charged for this and felt I had been played a fool. If I were to pay the rate they charged me for the $30 bottle on petmeds I would have to pay them $1003.50!!! Talk about being duped. Also when checking out the front staff (Teresa if I remember correctly) was super rude. Overall satisfied with the vet but the price and staff killed it for me. Will definitely shop around my next vet visit.

Perfect Day: It was really perfect and fine day when I brought my dog to Mercury Animal Hospital. My pet had her total grooming and medical and dental checkup as well. It is not a waste of money to invest on your pets so I recommend the Mercury Animal Hospital to be the place for your pet's welfare. The doctors and staff are well trained and very warm. They have complete facilities and the professional and service fees are very reasonable. My dog has regular visit to Dr. Nicole. Try the experience from this wonderful clinic.

Dr Brinker has been my Vet for over twenty years and he saved (1st dog o got as an adult) my puppies life that came from some puppy mill and was only five weeks old with double herniasThat we're hereditary. Then in April his staff performed emergency surgery on on my Papillon puppies that ran out in street, I just knew he was going to die but between Todd's lane and the Animal Emergency Center they amputated his Back leg at eight weeks old now TenMonths old he can out run his siblings...

My aunt is pet lover and I used to be with her whenever she visits the clinic. I really love dogs so I am inspired and encouraged to have my own puppy and become a regular client of Dr. Nicole of Mercury Animal Hospital. My dog is very well attended by Dr. Nicole. Bubbles (my dog’s name) have complete vaccination and I regularly visit the clinic for her grooming and checkup. It is really great to have pet and a hospital I can call my pet's home away from home.

Lodging for my pet: I am single and working in a corporate world. Our company had two-day seminar out of town and it was a big problem for me because I have a cat living with me and I do not have someone to take care of my pet. Good that my colleague recommend Mercury Animal Hospital where they also cater Boarding and Daycare. It was great because my pet found a second home. The hospital staff took care of my pet while away from home. Thanks a lot guys.

The staff here is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. The doctors are extremely thorough. My vet wasn't in when I called for my dog's blood work results, but another doctor went over them with me. She was just as thorough and helpful and concerned as the doctor who actually saw my dog. Even though I got very sad news, (heart disease), they were very kind and helpful, and made sure I knew each next step and all of my options.

Amazing experience: My dog lost her appetite and I don't know the reason why. One of my friends recommend Dr. Nicole from Mercury Animal Clinic, at first I was hesitant but then he was persistent so I decided to bring my dog to her clinic. to my surprise my dog got well in one visit. Their dental service diagnosed my dog to have tooth problem. The hospital ambiance is great and the doctors are very warm.

I've been going to Todds lane since 2007 and have never been unsatisfied or spoken to in a rude way! In fact, when I had to put my 18 yo kitty down, Dr Hall was the most understanding and caring person, even the staff were sad to see him go. I do agree, sometimes the wait on hold can get a little long but that's only because they are taking care of the person in front of them, which I understand.

I visited my grandmother in VA bringing with me my favorite puppy, Hearty. Unfortunately due to change of weather my puppy got cold and my uncle recommended Mercury Animal Hospital for my pet. It was really awesome experience. Dr. Nicole is very warm and accommodating. The professional fee is very competitive and service is great. Thank you so much.
Tips & Advices
Most 24-hour clinics do not allow owners to stay with their pets overnight. However, many do have specific visiting hours or will let owners see their pets at any point during the day. In addition, owners can call most clinics at any time for an update on their pet's well being.
  • Important phone numbers, especially those of the the veterinary clinic, the animal hospital or emergency clinic, and the poison control center
  • A book detailing pet first-aid steps
  • Copy of medical records
  • Nylon leash
  • Muzzle (only use if pet is not vomiting and has no difficulty breathing)
  • Absorbent gauze
  • Nonlatex disposable gloves
  • Scissors
  • Tweezers
  • Nail clippers
  • Digital thermometer
  • Sterile saline solution
  • Hydrogen peroxide (to induce vomiting only at the recommendation of a veterinarian
  • Milk of magnesia (to absorb poison only at the recommendation of a veterinarian)
Find a 24-hour animal hospital that provides emergency services within your area. Keep the facility's contact information in a place that's easy to locate, such as the refrigerator, address book, or smartphone. Most veterinary clinics operate on standard business hours and are not equipped to handle emergencies.
Veterinary clinics operate on a smaller scale than animal hospitals. The latter are more likely open 24 hours and provide emergency services. The former generally operate on typical office hours and only perform wellness exams and minor surgeries. Veterinary clinics also do not generally perform laboratory tests on site.
The specifics vary depending on the type of visit. For a wellness exam, bring:
  • Medical records
  • The type or brand of food the pet eats
  • Medication (including flea, tick, and heartworm medication).
If the animal needs medical treatment, the following may be helpful depending on the situation:
  • Fresh stool sample
  • Vomit sample
  • Video of the pet engaging in abnormal behavior
  • Substance the pet may have ingested
