Kool Smiles
I came to kool smile yesterday with my 3 . My daughter was the only one was getting work done. So when Ms Erica call My daughter to the back, she told me the other kids had to stay up frond with me. I was upset at first, but when Ms Erica explain to me why and they don't want to scare the other kids. She gave all of them coloring pages and crayons . My daughter was afraid to go by herself. But Erica talked to her and was so friendly that my daughter finally went to the back. When they came out my daughter had a big smile on her face saying it didn't hurt. I can’t believe Ms Erica got my baby girl to get her crowns on her teeth. It took me two week to bring her because she was scared. Now thanks to Erica she wants to come back and see only Erica.

I will definitely be coming back to KoolSmiles. Unfortunately are dentist office in marrero, Healthy Smiles closed down with no noticed what so ever. I stopped by KS and was immediately greeted by Ms Ileana. She was fantastic!!!! She was even willing to squeeze my 3 kids for the dental cleaning the same day!!!! But at the current time i could not but just knowing how quick and the willingness of being able to get seen that quick without having to wait so long was truely thw best. I scheduled my appt. with Ms Ileana and im looking foward to bringing my kids in! thank you again for making me feel welcome and making me feel great about the new dentist office i picked for my children ileana you are truely a miracle worker!

My son's tooth had broken in half on a Friday evening (right before the 4th of July and an hour before the office was due to close) and I called Kool Smiles for help after looking online. My family and I are new to the area and I have NEVER seen any business work as fast or as hard as they did for my son. Sherrell was his dental assistant and she was AWESOME! For that matter the entire staff was amazing and very professional. Thank you very much to each and every one of you who took time to not only see my son but have our insurance information completed, getting us seen quickly, and his smile back as perfect as it was before we came in. THANK YOU!

I love Kool Smiles, however my experience on Wednesday was not as great as it usually is. My sons dental assistant Erika wasn't that kid friendly on top of that she told the doctor false information on how I wanted the treatment to go for my son. Overall the dr was excellent at communicating what she was getting ready to do and how she planned to do it. If my son had that dr and dental assistant JoJo on Monday his reactions to his treatment what have went smoothly for him. I love JoJo she's always patient and meets all my kids needs when we go there. I wish I can have her as my kids dental assistant on every visit she is EXCELLENT!!!

My children and I absolutely LOVE Kool Smiles. I am most pleased with the service my daughters received from the DA Erica. She is the reason my daughters love to get their teeth cleaned. She is extremly patient and very kind. Erica goes above and beyond when my daughters need dental work. She makes sure they are comfortable. ALL fear that they may have felt prior to arriving is removed my Erica when she encounters them. My daughters,I and Kool Smiles are all BLESSED to have such an ANGEL assisting the many children that visit KOOL SMILES. Erica deserves more than 5 stars. She is definitely a 10 in our book. ☺

Kool Smiles
i had a great experience at kool smiles on friday! it started off bad because the call center scheduled me in an office that does not do oral surgery for wisdom. But Ms Ileana assured me that i can be seen to be evaluted and take xrays that were needed and she can put me at the gentilly office later that afternoon to be seen by the oral surgeon. She made a phone call and told the other person i was in pain n if they can please see me. She did everything in her power to help me get out of pain i was able to go to gentilly for my extractions. Thank you again ms Ileana and also to ms Sherell who was my assitant.

My little boy was seen today 11/18. He has a mild form of autism and was scared about having an extraction. Hes absolutely a daddys boy and we thought he would handle things better if both parents were with him. Usually they only allow one parent but our Assistant Christina Medina and our dentist Dr Kewalramni were absolutely amazing with our son and did everything necessary to make him comfortable. They were so gentle and compassionate with him. He breezed right through and did better than we expected! I am very happy with both the Dr & assistant. They made this absolutely trauma free for my little man!

My experience at kool smiles was wonderful. My daughter wouldn't stop crying and Ms Erica walked in and started to clam her down. Ms Erica should her everthing they was going to use. The doctor wanted to put her in a board and Erica did everything with out it. My daughter said Erica was the BEST dental assistant she ever had. She let the doctor do everything on her because of Erica. They need more friendly staff like Erica. Thanks Kool Smiles for have Erica as my daughter dental assistant.
Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
