I visited this business a few weeks ago. I read the reviews , it seemed a(decent place) to go to . I called and made the appointment that was requested. I arrive a few minutes early and check in as i spoke with the person on the phone and explained to her what I needed , I told her again .. she seemed confused.!! I told her that I needed a hose put on my vehicle and ac recharged. She questioned me as if she didn't know about the hose issue. She said ok I will let them know. I waited for no more than 15 minutes, then an older man assuming he was the owner comes to speak to me. This man questioned me I on how the hose had been removed etc. As if I would remove it myself !! I said I don't know. then he questioned me if the air has ever worked. Indeed it was an older car but as of last year it did work. This man then told me he wouldn't eBen touch it because of the engine size etc. Unless I purchased a (kit) which would cost 900.00 $$. Prior to that grand total he said if he fixed the hose then recharge that may not work. Then he asked me then what.. I asked what would be the next step.. Ovouisly.I I am not the mechanic. The only two good things I could say about this place is he didn't charge me for looking at it and I guess he saved me a few dollars by telling me that the hose and recharge may not work. Defiantly do your homework and check into businesses prior to visiting.

Get's the job done and doesn't cost you an arm and a leg to do it. Doesn't charge you to look at the problem and tell you what is wrong with your car. Great group of men at this place!!!

Took truck in for routine oil change and brake pads. Found out that the brakes and rotors needed replaced. Rotors??? Already?? 2012 F-150 and they are bad?? That's where the problems start. New rotors installed and the left brake was extremely hot. Took it back in and they said it happens for the first few days. Three weeks later the pads are shot, rotor is destroyed and now I have to pay more money for a new rotor on that side along with having new calipers all the way around at their diagnosis. Calipers are now shot too??? REALLY??? As for the oil change it was horrible too. The oil filter looked old, and had chain wrench marks on it as well as a hole in it that looked like a flat-head screw driver went through it. Found all that after I saw oil dripping from the chassis of the truck and then opened the hood and saw oil sprayed all over the engine bay. Mechanics and Joe are thieves. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Totally lack of respect for customers and their safety. Go somewhere else!! Worst place in Greer to have anything done. I wouldn't trust your life or your families in their hands.

S & S Tire Inc
Service was good and fast. Only problem was that he would not give me a reciept, not hand written nothing... I got used tires and I know there is no warranty, if he was worried about that he could put that on the reciept... I need receipts so I know where my money went, like most people... Go figure

Graydon Tire & Automotive Of Greer
The owner of this business clearly doesn't need my business. He is the type to talk down to a female automobile owner that is placing her trust in his expertise. I stopped by to get an appointment scheduled last week, but he was "too busy" to step outside to let me show him what the trouble was with my car. Okay, fine. But when I tried to explain the issue, the car starts some of the time....he started with this cocky attitude about what he thought was wrong with it, and I told him that I had tried to research the issue online, and he laughed at me... I think it has something to do with the security system....He belittled me and my efforts to find the issue (started to irritate me then) I made the appointment for the following Monday morning. Then...I let him know that I would need help to push the car so I could pop the clutch (he and another guy had time for that) I left there very irritated with his lack of customer service. But the place is close to my husbands work, and we needed the convenience of the location. Today, we took the car in. I let my husband deal with him, after I stood in the reception area for 5 minutes unacknowledged. The owner was again very rude, quick to speak and late to listen to us. Then asked us if we could leave the car for 3 or 4 days. The mechanic that he wanted to work on the car wasn't there today...(what?) Well, I asked if he wanted us to bring it back was full tomorrow and that he'd just have to work us in??? (remember that appointment I made?) By this time, my husband was witnessing why I was irritated last week. The brilliant customer service professional that he is... told us to take the car somewhere else. Well who didn't know that was coming, and he didn't need to give us any ideas or encouragement to do it!! The best part of this story is the marquee out front always posts wonderful Biblical scripture and comments about God. We let him know that his behaviour didn't live up to his advertising. Rude, cocky, know-it-all and the most pitiful customer service I've witnessed in this terrible economy!!

Graydon Tire & Automotive Of Greer
I am a sophomore in college and am staying 4 hours from home. When my truck started acting up, someone recommended that I take it to Leon Graydon. He was incredibly helpful and him and his team had great service. He saved me a good bit of money (being a colllege student this means a lot to me) and saved me from a lot of stress. Graydon's was awesome and my friends and I will continue going there with all of our automotive needs!

If you need auto work or tires, I would highly recommend these people. I was new to the area, and took good care of my car,
Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
