We hadn't been in the car market for 15 years and with good reason. Our past experiences with auto sales personnel were miserable so we were fully on guard when we approached buying another car ... anticipating pressure, hard-line bargaining, lots of hype, etc., etc. What's more, a car accident, followed by indifference from the other driver's insurance company, left us angry and in a time compression to buy another car within five days. We met Pamela Peterson through the internet, our first contact with both a Hyundai car and dealership. From the moment we shook Pamela's hand, all our reservations about buying a car disappeared. There was no pressure. No hard sell. No hovering as we looked at different models. Pam was gracious and well-versed about every model, and particularly the Sonata which we selected. She guided us through the contract and financing process and showed unexpected flexibility working with our budget requirements and expectations. In short, she was an accomplished listener, sensing our reservations and addressing each one with patience, good humor, and grace. Her written and verbal followups after our purchase were not only sincere, they were unexpected. Pamela Peterson is the auto sales person every car buyer hopes to find ... but often doesn't. If we needed any further evidence of Pamela Peterson's exceptional salesmanship, several days after our purchase, a Hyundai competitor we had contacted briefly by email, wrote us an email stating, and I quote, "We always beat Hyundai of Greer prices. Sorry you overpaid for your Hyundai." Any sales person who uses the putdown of a competitor to advance a sale is precisely the kind of person who shouldn't be in sales. Pamela Peterson stands apart and above such tactics in every way. It's a privilege to be able to bring her qualities to your attention.
Originally had an issue with the used Kia I purchased from this Hyundai dealership, everything was great except the trim level of the vehicle was accidentally misrepresented. It was listed as an "!" model when really it was a "+". This was just a misunderstanding, they sell Hyundai's and this was my first car purchase, so neither of us were experts in the various options and features associated with the different trim levels of a Kia. There was a decent price difference though between the two models on KBB so I contacted the General Manager Fred Davis about the issue. He immediately offered to go over the details with me and help any way he could. After Fred and I talked it over we were able to reach a mutual agreement and I can now say that I am extremely satisfied with my purchase from Hyundai of Greer. My original sales guy was extremely helpful and low pressure which was great since I was nervous about buying my first car, and upon my return arrival to speak with Fred, as I waited I had at least four different associates approach and greet me, offer assistance, offer me drinks while I waited, chit-chat, and one even went as far as to get under the hood of my Kia to try and help confirm engine specs associated with my issue even though he was a sales guy and had nothing to personally gain! The customer service here was by far the best I've ever received. I thought they were good when I came in to buy the car originally but even coming back in as an upset customer wanting to get money back rather than spend it I was blown away by how well they treated me. Fred Davis was an exceptionally helpful manager and he seemed to really care about his customers and making sure I walked out happy.
KIA OF GREER is the most exceptional dealership I've ever been to in my entire life. I bought a brand new soul there back in 2010. I fell on very hard times over the past two years and was very sick. I'm starting to get back on my feet again. I visited the dealership back in March of 2015 and the area manager Mark Escuade put me in touch with the general store manager, Ken Duneske. I was floored at the fact that two very important people took their personal and professional time to help me. He kept me informed every day on the status of what was going on and it made me feel important. Ken did an amazing job and got me approved for a brand new 2015 Soul and I picked it up on April 2nd, 2015! As I was leaving he told me, "if you need anything else, we are here for you." he wasn't lying either! They have been an extremely big help with other things as well. The things I needed weren't necessarily things that the dealership is obligated to do, yet he helped me every single time until I was happy, and he gave me a peace of mind. I've told everyone I know to go to KIA of Greer for their next car, and I continue to when people compliment me on my car. I am a KIA customer/fan for life AND a KIA of Greer fan/customer for life as well. As far as the facility goes, it was spotless, modern, beautiful and comfortable. Honestly, I felt like i was on vacation more than in a car dealership. They offered complimentary food, drinks, comfortable places to wait and even an internet technology center. Really??? Yes, REALLY!!
On September 30, I purchased two vehicles from your dealership: a 2014 KIA Sorento (the second one that I've purchased from you in 3 years) and and a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder. The sales consultant, Joey Mims, was exemplary and the sales experience was outstanding. Please let me begin by saying that I do understand that the Pathfinder was used and had no warranty. A customer does, however, have a reasonable expectation that a vehicle purchased from a reputable dealership will not have any major issues within the first 3 weeks/ 500 miles... On 10/23, the check engine light came on. I brought the car to the service department and was told that the gas cap was not on properly. Nathan corrected the problem and I left feeling confident that the issue was resolved.Three days later, the light came back on and my son brought the car back in on 10/30. Evidently, the catalytic converter was bad. Nathan in the service department explained that one had been recently replaced, but the second one also needed to be replaced, as well I ended up having the work done by an independent mechanic. I expressed my displeasure to the dealership and their response was phenomenal. Ann Rice contacted me to discuss my dissatisfaction and, to my amazement (well, not really...KIA of Greer is well known for happy customers,) promised to make this right. KIA of Greer completely turned around what could have been a miserable experience. I'm a customer for life!!
My experience with Hyundia of Greer was exceptional. I had the pleasure of meeting with Pam Peterson and she took in consideration of my needs, my ability to handle the pressures of a new vehicle and the comfort that I needed in the vehicle. I was not expecting to drive off with a new car, thinking that I would have to visit several before I was satified with what I wanted. Pam, listened to me and my husband and she let us do what we needed to do to make up our minds. She talked about everything that was for our benifit in making decisions right for us. She allowed for us ask the hard questions and she didn't hesitate in saying "I don't know" to questions that she was not familiar with. The great part is that she went and got answers that satified us. I have never met anyone as wonderful as Pam whose first concern was the customers. She made us feel special and that it was all about us at that time. Her entire attention was on us; she didn't run between us and other people, it was entirely on us and what we needed. Hyundia of Greer you just don't know have great it is to have a sales person as personable and caring as Pam Peterson. If we had to do it all over again, I would if Pam is there to take us through the journey. I am very pleased with our purchase and glad that we were led there just to meet Pam.
Everyone we spoke with at the Hyundai of Greer dealership was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They seemed genuinely interested in finding the right car for us, and made us feel very satisfied with our purchase. Pam Peterson and Oscar are super to deal with - they answered all of our questions, were very enthusiastic and informative. We really appreciate them and the fine service we received at Hyundai of Greer. We love our new Veloster, and don't think we could have gotten a better deal or been treated better anywhere else! They gave us a great price on our trade in and a super price on our beautiful new Veloster. Pam and Oscar are in the internet marketing department - and really care about their customers. I'm sure we'll contact them when we are looking for another car. Vanisia in the Finance Department was also wonderful to work with. She helped us finance the car at a low interest rate. The detail department does a good job also. They even added some extra pinstriping to my vehicle. We really enjoyed working with everyone at Hyundai of Greer, and we strongly recommend them if you're looking for a new or used vehicle.
I went online, and tried shopping at my local dealership for a new Optima. When I visited our Kia store, the sales rep I was working with online was not the same as I had to see. He kept trying to pressure me into buying a car that was over my budget and not even the right color. I went back online and found Kia of Greer. First of all, I was totally surprised that I had barely hit the button and I had a price emailed to me and as I was reading it, I received a call from their manager Mark Chaney. This all happened within 4 or 5 minutes. I explained what I had gone through at my local dealer and he assured me that the price he was quoting would be exactly what I would see when I got there. A little hesitant, I drove over and met with Mark. He introduced me to one of his internet team Sam. Sam showed me the car, we drove it and I bought it. Everything was exactly what Mark said it would be, and they are the best experience I have ever had. I will be buying a car for my grandson this fall, and will definitely call Mark and Sam.
