This operation is aces! You will not find a better, more efficient service anywhere. The lady in the office is amazing. She changed my appointment last minute.... no questions, no service charge. The father/son team is tops. They are lightening fast, super polite, great sense of humor, and strong. They 'wouldn't allow' us to lift a finger. Mind you, I moved to Greenville in a 27 ft truck........they unloaded the whole thing in the 2hrs (which was LOADED to the rafters). PERIOD. No hidden fees or surprise charges. They also put my bed together without charging me additional time, and helped fix scratches on my coffee table (they carry furniture pens/wax!) All of this for $120!!!!! The movers who loaded my truck (in another city) took 3hrs and 3 guys.....they charged me $270 PLUS a $35 stair fee.....and my family and I had to help!!!! The most impressive aspect of KP Haulings? I received a call later in the day from Kenny Sr. He was concerned about the amount of money I had given him. He told me that I'd overpaid; not realizing that the balance was gratuity for him and his son, for the amazing work that they did. Where do you find people like that? He honestly thought that I miscounted the money and he wanted to make sure to return it. This organization is a highly organized, professional class act. Please don't waste your time looking elsewhere.

Good Stewards Moving and Packing Company
We rented this company's service through Uhaul's movinghelp.com. The office people were very courteous and kept us informed before and after the move about the status of our movers and any changes. They accommodated us even when there was a change in plans. The movers themselves were amazing, nice, professional, and really went through the house and assessed the furniture before loading. They all worked together to plan the load. They worked very diligently and had happy attitudes. We have a lot of old and fragile furniture, which they handled with great care and packed well. Though we booked two hours, the process was done in 1 hour, 15 minutes. We highly recommend this company.

My move from Simpsonville, SC to Fountain Inn was the third time I have used them. I first had them deliver my furniture/ put it together and set it up. Kenny the owner is amazing. Your quote is your quote I never have had hidden fees, which other companies love to add on. They boxed up all my goods, and furniture and everything was delivered without a scratch on it! Kenny thanks so much for making a difficult time easier! We will always use you for anything we need a box truck for. Thanks again!

I have used KP Hauling's for multiple purposes over the last 3 years. They are extremely prompt with same day or next day services. They have delivered my furniture/mattresses that I have purchased locally as well as moved my stuff from Atlanta to Greenville. Then they moved my brother the next week. Kenny is so delightful to work with, very professional and cautious to take care of his customers. I will be calling again Kenny! Thanks so much!

Hi My Name is Randy, I had a Double Aide moved from this mover and they did a wonderful job. I will recommend them for anybody anywhere to move your home. They went beyond there calling. What a great set of people. They know what they are doing I must say. I did talk to another mover before I contacted these, thank goodness I went with Mobile Home Transport cos those other ones where crapy. Use thes movers!

Wonderful JOB with my home. So glad I didn't go with Scruggs on 123 again. The last home they set for me, I wasn't happy that woman that does all the talking is a total JOKE. She needs to be fired.. These guys are awesome!! They arrived 15 mins early, they were polite, and they hustled. They moved the company I work for in the same amount of time they estimated and their rates were very reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone looking for commercial or residential movers. Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
