Jack Rabbit Usa
We were cancelled on twice this week 10 minutes before their eta by their Field Supervisor, Robert (last name was either Rice or Price) who initially accepted the roadside assignment. He is obviously supposed to set a good example for his workers but canceling both times 10 minutes before eta (after we were already waiting on him for 30 minutes). However, the dispatcher, Rosie, was very kind and apologetic and sent a different driver, Randy, to our location. Randy was prompt, kind, dependable and professional and in my opinion should probably be the Lead Field Supervisor because he set a very good example. So overall, Jack Rabbit USA (Greenville, SC location) can be a great company, if you get the right driver. But unfortunately having to wait 2 hours altogether because of someone's irresponsibility is a disappointment.

Mike Willimon's Towing & Recovery Inc
I was incredibly nervous when I saw the reviews for here (after my car had already been towed by them after a wreck). I called yesterday and they gave me the pricing information ($200 for the tow, $29 storage per night it was there.) I agreed to sign the car over to them in lieu of paying for the tow since the car was totaled. When I got there this morning, everyone was incredibly kind and helpful towards me. I don't know if my experience was so much better than the other reviews on here (and other websites) because I did not deal with the money aspect at all, or if there's new management or different staff - but my experience was wonderful and it was incredibly relieving after my wreck.

Tips & Advices
Yes, most roadside assistance coverage plans offer towing services. There might be certain restrictions, however. For example, the plan may only cover towing services for a certain number of miles. Drivers should check with their providers for details.
Which cars are covered depends on the roadside assistance provider. AAA services are available to members and not specific to any vehicle. As long as members pays their dues and have their membership card on hand, they can use AAA for someone else's car. Generally, auto insurance plans cover the car itself, not the driver, so people can't use their roadside assistance for another. However, details vary between providers, plans and local laws. Drivers should consult with their insurance providers to see whose cars are covered.
Roadside assistance coverage varies depending on the provider. However, they generally include:
  • Tire change
  • Battery jump start
  • Towing services
  • Locksmith service
  • Minimal mechanical labor
  • Delivery of oil, fuel, batteries or other parts
If a driver has a flat tire and no spare, roadside assistance services can deliver a new one. However, these services will not pay for the cost of the tire. That will be the driver's responsibility. Based on the location, some will tow a car to a tire dealer.
Most roadside assistance plans offer gas delivery and service. However, clients are generally responsible for the cost of the gas.
