Northwest Pediatrics
New location and some new office staff. Dr. Vapne has cared for my child with exceptional detail for over 7 years. My child was born 3 months early with a very low birth weight. She required frequent visits, specialized care at home and specialty doctor visits and therapies. Dr.Vapne, Dr. Dees and the nurses worked quickly and thoroughly with great attention to detail on everything my baby needed....from insurance battles...to getting approvals for my child's needs before we even arrived. Thanks (as a single mom with limited help) to them I never felt alone..her medical care and therapies...decisions about camps/schools etc...they were always there for me giving me helpful referrals and advice so my special needs child could grow, be healthy and flourish. Thanks to them we have had great success and overcome many challenges. I cannot express my gratitude enough. NW Pediatrics was the best choice for my family! Your staff is a God send! Sophia sends her love!

Greensboro Pediatricians
I have taken my children to Greensboro Pediatricians for many years and have always been treated courteously and professionally by everyone there, from the people who answer the phone to the medical care received. When I had twins, and could only come by myself, their staff helped me carry them to the car. If I have what I consider an urgent question on the phone, someone gets a nurse to talk to me right away...their phone nurses during the day are reassuring and knowledgable. When I did have a problem with one employee (who is no longer there), I was transferred to a manger who handled the situation to my satisfaction. If their phone happened to be off at 4:55 instead of 5:00, you would be able to get in touch with a their after hours nurses who are always helpful also. They have been there to see my children on the weekends as well as regularly scheduled weekday hours.

Dr. Randy Kritzer, MD
Dr. Kritzer is the best. I had been fighting, back, right leg and foot pain for about 2 years. I went to the Laser Spine Institute in Tampa, Fl in July 2014 and had back surgery. Continued to have back and leg pain after surgery. In December 2014 I hurt my back again lifting a 10lb Christmas ornament box. I saw Dr. Kritzer and he said i needed surgery to fix my problem. The Laser Spine Institute kept contacting me to come back to their facility, instead i followed recomendations of Dr. Kritzer and had him do my lumbar fusion. I am so glad i did. i have no leg or foot pain and very little back pain. If you need surgery, Dr. Kritzer is the man to see. I had surgery in Feb. 2015 and will return back to work early Aug. 2015. These are wise and caring Doctors. Do not make the mistake I made by going to The Laser Spine Institute when the care you need is in Greensboro,N.C.

Urgent Medical & Family Care
I always use them if I need an urgent care even thought it is not that close for me. I have see Dr Daub several times. There is usually a long wait but that is typical of any urgent care. They do take appointment also. They are great on the phone to tell you how busy they are and what might be a better time to come. Their folllow up is commendable. The prescriptions are always called in asap and ready. They follow up to check on you and with additional results-ie radiologist readings of x-rays. They are ver efficient in handling anything else you might need or have to call back for. They never drop the ball on any requests. In my opinion, they are top notch. It also says a lot that most of the Drs there have been there 10 years or more!!

Urgent Medical & Family Care
If at all possible, do not go here! I've been a patient at UM&FC for years, but the experience has gone downhill since my general care physician moved to another practice. On the urgent care side, the waits are atrocious, and I've never seen a doctor in less than 2.5 hours. On the appointment center side, it can take weeks to get an appointment with your regular doctor. While I do like most of the doctors there (which is the only reason for the second general star, and four stars on expertise), the front-of-house staff is terrible. If you need something like paperwork filled out, a refund of an overpayment, or even a referral, be prepared to call or go in the office several times in order for it to get done, if it gets done at all.

Webb, Carol D, MD
I was having a problem with swelling in the elbow. It was my first time to Eagle Brassfield and everyone was very courteous and helpful from the time I made my appointment until my visit. The front office staff was very efficient. Shelby (the assistant)was very thorough and helpful. Dr. Webb looked at my situation and handled it the best way with aspiration, lab work and antibiotics. Unfortunately the swelling has reoccurred. Dr. Webb has now referred me to Guilford Orthopedics. I will be seeing them next week. However I have chosen to make Dr. Webb my primary care physician and I will be seeing her in December for my first wellness visit. I am very happy with the care I received from Dr. Webb.

Urgent Medical & Family Care
I definely would recommend this urgent care. I've been going her for over 25 years. The doctors are top notch and give you great care. The follow up and testing is really great. If my doctor of record is not in, I have no problem being seen by someone else. As is true for all urgent cares, the wait can sometimes take several hours, but they will be up front with you and recommend another time that may be better. I think it says volumes that most of the doctors have been at this location ten years plus. No matter where you live in Greensboro this is the best facility there is. Try it out today!

Dr. Randy Kritzer, MD
Dr Kritzer is very straightforward and knowledgeable. He helped me understand my situation and the options available to me. When I elected surgery, the process was quick and uncomplicated. Surgery went as expected with my pain significantly reduced immediately afterwards. Follow-ups were scheduled at an appropriate cadence. My results are as I had hoped and I am glad to have selected Dr Kritzer for his skill and experience. My only negative is for someone looking for a lot of emotional support. Dr Kritzer's direct, efficient style may be seen as not being open for longer discussion.

Dr. Hal T Stoneking, MD
my appointment was for my annual Medicare wellness visit. My medical history was reviewed including medications, recent tests, immunizations, and ongoing medical problems. I had an opportunity to ask questions. I received satisfactory explanations and helpful suggestions for dealing with current problems--i.e. compression hose for varicose veins. I was given an appointment to follow up on problems of continuing concern. I feel confident that future medical problems will be addressed appropriately. I am grateful for kind and competent medical care.

Cone Health Medical Group Heartcare
After waiting until 11:00 for my 10:30 app. with Dr. Nahser, I went to the desk, and was told they would be calling me in 5 minutes. They came to get me 25-30 minutes later. I waited in the exam room another 10-15 minutes. Then this rude, snotty attitude doctor came in and made me feel like I was an intrusion on his day, no apology for the wait, less personality and bedside manner than a dead fish. I told his nurse what I thought of him and said if I ever needed to see another heart doctor that I would see a veterinarian!
Tips & Advices
A child should see his or her pediatrician frequently during the first few years. Once the child reaches age 3, parents should schedule a doctor's visit at least once per year. Before that, however, the American Academy of Pediatrics suggests parents arrange visits according to the following schedule:
  • 2 to 5 days old
  • 1 month old
  • 4 months old
  • 6 months old
  • 9 months old
  • 12 months old
  • 15 months old
  • 24 months old (2 years)
  • 30 months old (2.5 years)
No, parents should call 911, an emergency physician, or a pediatric emergency physician if a child suffers an acute illness or injuries. Doctors in these fields are more qualified than pediatricians to handle emergency situations.
A well-visit is a routine visit with a pediatrician to track a child's development, discuss medical or emotional concerns, and receive immunizations and medical advice.
Yes, pediatricians provide immunizations for infants and children up through 21 years.
No, pediatricians do not have to be board certified. They're only required to have a state license. However, certification indicates a dedication to studying pediatrics beyond the requirements.
