I am a patient of Dr. Voytek and have been for over 25 years. When I needed surgery on both of my knees (because she does not do surgery anymore) she referred me to Dr. Wainer in the practice. He did knee replacement on one knee and the other kneed in 3 months. I still see Dr. Voytek from time to time. It is a wonderful practice. I would not go anywhere else. I also see Dr. Ibazebo for back injections and bursa injections. They are all over professional and personable. It is just a great practice.

Dr. David S. Jones, MD - Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates
The scheduler was fantastic working with me to find a day that fits my sdchedule and getting my questions answered. Everyone was nice and answered my questions quickly. Dr. Jones is fanastic and makes you feel comfortable asking questions. My only issue was the wait time for my appts. two of the appts were over an hour late and the chairs in the waiting room are uncomfortable. But that is minor considering how great I feel now!

Dr,Jones was awesome! He was genuinely concerned about my back problem. I always felt like I was the most important patient he had, I pray I never need another surgery on my back, but if i do I know I will be back to see Dr.Jones. When I asked Dr.Jones if he thougt I may end up needing to fuse the disc's he was very good in explaining what that would involve and even sent me home with some literature, He is the best!

Everything they do is so special! They treat you like family and show that they care. I have nothing bad that I can say about the doctors, or staff! Dr. Jones has got to be Jesus' brother! I love him so much! He brought me from being suicidal to being an extremely happy person! May God bless him and his family! .

Dr. Jones is very personable and so willing to go out of his way to help. I was in great pain and he worked me in for surgery two days after I saw him. He made me feel very important and treated me with great respect. I will return to him in the future if I have any spine issues.

The experience was terrific, I was able to ask questions even reschedule an appointment to allow for my wife to be at the appointment. The staff was professional. As this was my first ever surgery, this experience was simply fantastic.

Tips & Advices
Scoliosis is a disorder where the spine curves sideways. Most people develop the condition during the growth spurt before puberty. The cause of scoliosis is unknown and most cases are mild, but the rare severe instances can disable a person.
Orthopedic surgeons attend four years of medical school, then four to five years of orthopedic residency in a hospital. They must also be licensed and certified in orthopedic surgery by the state in which they practice.
The terms "orthopedic doctor" and "orthopedic surgeon" refer to the same profession. Related specialties include podiatrist, a doctor who works with the bones, tendons and ligaments in the feet, and a sports medicine physician, a doctor specially trained to treat athletes.
The cost of a visit to an orthopedic surgeon depends on the type of tests ordered and treatment given. For example, an MRI costs $500-$1,300. An initial consultation costs $100- $500, while anesthesia for a procedure generally ranges from $2,000-$4,000. Overall, an orthopedic surgery can cost anywhere from $15,000 to $30,000.
During a consultation or first appointment with an orthopedic surgeon, the practitioner will ask the patient a variety of questions to understand the situation. The surgeon might ask about the patient's pain levels, medical history, and any prior injuries. Then, the surgeon will administer a physical exam and possibly schedule tests to better understand the problem. Possible tests include a stress test, x-ray, or MRI.
