Charlie Ganim - State Farm Insurance Agent
I have been a customer of Charlie Ganim’s State Farm agency since I moved to Greensboro in 2006. I have been a State Farm client all my life, but was looking to find a local agent upon my move to North Carolina. Charlie’s office came highly recommended to me from my real estate agent. Being new to the area, I was glad to have a recommendation and immediately set an appointment. While my experience overall with State Farm has always been one of great customer service, I have never had an experience before like the one I’ve had with Charlie’s office. This is a team who knows how to deliver exceptional customer service! I’ve gotten to know everyone in the office by name and truly feel taken care of every time I call or stop in. What sets Charlie’s team apart more than anything, though, is their fantastic follow-up. I receive regular communication from their office, including special notes on my birthday and when they haven’t heard from me in a while. Another fantastic feature of this office that sets it apart from others is their willingness to do a free annual review with you. It’s so nice to know that I can spend time with my agent to review my insurance and be assured that my coverage is always current with my changing situation. Recently, after a review, we were able to increase our coverage and save money on our monthly premiums! I love knowing that I’m paying competitive rates for my insurance, but unlike with other companies, I can be confident that State Farm will be around to pay on those policies should I ever need them. Can you say the same about other companies? I wouldn’t work with any other insurance company, and if you’re looking for the best agent in Greensboro, you have to call Charlie and his team. You won’t regret it!

Greensboro Pediatricians
I have taken my children to Greensboro Pediatricians for many years and have always been treated courteously and professionally by everyone there, from the people who answer the phone to the medical care received. When I had twins, and could only come by myself, their staff helped me carry them to the car. If I have what I consider an urgent question on the phone, someone gets a nurse to talk to me right away...their phone nurses during the day are reassuring and knowledgable. When I did have a problem with one employee (who is no longer there), I was transferred to a manger who handled the situation to my satisfaction. If their phone happened to be off at 4:55 instead of 5:00, you would be able to get in touch with a their after hours nurses who are always helpful also. They have been there to see my children on the weekends as well as regularly scheduled weekday hours.

Dr. Randy Kritzer, MD
Dr. Kritzer is the best. I had been fighting, back, right leg and foot pain for about 2 years. I went to the Laser Spine Institute in Tampa, Fl in July 2014 and had back surgery. Continued to have back and leg pain after surgery. In December 2014 I hurt my back again lifting a 10lb Christmas ornament box. I saw Dr. Kritzer and he said i needed surgery to fix my problem. The Laser Spine Institute kept contacting me to come back to their facility, instead i followed recomendations of Dr. Kritzer and had him do my lumbar fusion. I am so glad i did. i have no leg or foot pain and very little back pain. If you need surgery, Dr. Kritzer is the man to see. I had surgery in Feb. 2015 and will return back to work early Aug. 2015. These are wise and caring Doctors. Do not make the mistake I made by going to The Laser Spine Institute when the care you need is in Greensboro,N.C.

Webb, Carol D, MD
I was having a problem with swelling in the elbow. It was my first time to Eagle Brassfield and everyone was very courteous and helpful from the time I made my appointment until my visit. The front office staff was very efficient. Shelby (the assistant)was very thorough and helpful. Dr. Webb looked at my situation and handled it the best way with aspiration, lab work and antibiotics. Unfortunately the swelling has reoccurred. Dr. Webb has now referred me to Guilford Orthopedics. I will be seeing them next week. However I have chosen to make Dr. Webb my primary care physician and I will be seeing her in December for my first wellness visit. I am very happy with the care I received from Dr. Webb.

Dr. Randy Kritzer, MD
Dr Kritzer is very straightforward and knowledgeable. He helped me understand my situation and the options available to me. When I elected surgery, the process was quick and uncomplicated. Surgery went as expected with my pain significantly reduced immediately afterwards. Follow-ups were scheduled at an appropriate cadence. My results are as I had hoped and I am glad to have selected Dr Kritzer for his skill and experience. My only negative is for someone looking for a lot of emotional support. Dr Kritzer's direct, efficient style may be seen as not being open for longer discussion.

Dr. Hal T Stoneking, MD
my appointment was for my annual Medicare wellness visit. My medical history was reviewed including medications, recent tests, immunizations, and ongoing medical problems. I had an opportunity to ask questions. I received satisfactory explanations and helpful suggestions for dealing with current problems--i.e. compression hose for varicose veins. I was given an appointment to follow up on problems of continuing concern. I feel confident that future medical problems will be addressed appropriately. I am grateful for kind and competent medical care.

Cone Health Medical Group Heartcare
After waiting until 11:00 for my 10:30 app. with Dr. Nahser, I went to the desk, and was told they would be calling me in 5 minutes. They came to get me 25-30 minutes later. I waited in the exam room another 10-15 minutes. Then this rude, snotty attitude doctor came in and made me feel like I was an intrusion on his day, no apology for the wait, less personality and bedside manner than a dead fish. I told his nurse what I thought of him and said if I ever needed to see another heart doctor that I would see a veterinarian!

Kerr, Jeffrey, MD
As usual, Dr. Kerr showed a lot of empathy for me. I am facing gastric sleeve surgery after a five year battle with breast cancer. He has already been able to cut my original insulin dose from 300 units a day down to 120 units per day. I consider him as a lifesaver for me. He has agreed to continue my care post surgery. I think he recognized that I was depressed because he kept questioning me on how I was doing. He is one of the best MDs I have ever seen. I am fortunate he accepted me to his practice.

Dr. Joseph D. Stern, MD - Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates
Dr Stern, the entire neurosurgery staff, Dr Snider and the Cone hospital deserve the highest praise not only for the superb medical treatment, but for the unusually pleasant patient focused care we received treating a complex medical situation. Thank you so very much. We would recommend Dr Stern and his team to anyone considering neuro problems, and were so pleased with the communication with the family during the procedures performed at Cone, as well as the extensive coordination prior to surgery.

Alliance Urology Specialists
Dr. Theodore Manny is a young Urologist practicing at Alliance Urology Specialists. He's always been very professional and articulate in his communications with me and I seldom had to ask any questions. I am a 73 year old male and suffered with acute IC and CKD. He performed a robotic Radical Ileal Cysectomy on me and I was very happy with the outcome. I can't fully describe how much better I feel. I would consider Dr. Manny to be the go-to surgeon for robotic urological surgical procedures.
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
