U.S. Auto Service Center
SUPER COMFORTABLE waiting room. I have only had my tires rotated and my oil changed here. But when they rotated my winter tires off and summer tires back on the car, they individually wrapped the snow tires in plastic bags (I have been doing this for three years every season and no shop has ever wrapped the tires for me so the interior of my car wouldn't get all black) nice touch!! And the oil change went off without a hitch. My daughter is there now and can't believe the waiting area. It is like being in your living room. Full size couches. Comfortable. Free WI FI. No pause in your day to get a quick oil change or simple maintenance. I could continue my day with the wi-fi and catch up on emails, etch!!!

A Good Mechanic
Jeff, owner and mechanic at A Good Mechanic in Grayslake, IL, is a very trustworthy person. He saved us alot of money over the car dealership's quotes for repairs to our van. He is the most honest mechanic I've ever met. He takes his time to talk with you, diagnose your problem and come up with how to fix your vehicle. I used to be a person who would go to the car dealership but not anymore, Jeff is my go to person for my car repairs and oil changes. He also says he can do warranty work and really goes out of his way to help a person. I highly recommend him.

A Good Mechanic
I have referred many people to Jeff, he is upfront and honest and will always do for you what he can! My husband drives a 1998 Jeep that should have seen the bone yard years ago, we can not afford a vehicle payment now, Jeff has kept it running. I trust him with any and all of my vehicles!!

A Good Mechanic
Have used this service twice. Once for fuel injectors and again for heat shield issues. Both times the job was done very well, on time and best of all for the fairest cost of anyplace I've ever used. I'll go back again for any car repairs I need.

Tips & Advices
Using a variety of tools and processes, many of which require specialized training, auto body mechanics primarily repair cosmetic and structural damage to vehicles after accidents occur. They can also enhance a vehicle’s appearance and performance by replacing and adding new parts to a vehicle’s body.
This depends on the severity of the work that needs to be done. Something such as paintless dent repair for a few small dents can take an hour. Whereas auto body repairs for damages caused by a major accident can take multiple days to correct.
All auto body parts can be repaired but there is a threshold for the level of repairs possible. Parts can be damaged beyond repair and would need to be wholly replaced.
Auto body parts can be made from a wide variety of materials, usually based on what the part’s purpose is. Vehicle frames body panels, bumpers, roof racks, and other items that need to be strong and durable are usually constructed from steel, which is known for its durability and resistance to rust and high temperatures. But aluminum is quickly becoming a popular material of construction due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Body kits and other aftermarket parts like spoilers and hoods can be constructed from one form of plastic or another.
Yes, the vast majority of car makes and models have aftermarket parts available for many of their components. But higher-end vehicles typically have less aftermarket parts available since they often use specialized materials and manufacturing processes that are difficult to duplicate for many aftermarket manufacturers.
