We recently used All American Remodeling to shuck and replace our roof. Overall, it was a good experience with quality materials and the crew worked efficiently (they shucked 4 layers of shingles and replaced the roof all in a single day) and it looks great! There were however a few safety issues that arose on occasion with their "shingle slides". They had rested a few shingle slides on our deck banister with the intention to keep all of the weight off the deck however, with so many shingles sliding down at once, the slides collapsed on our deck dinging it up quite a bit and created a close call with our front window as the boards bounced around in the collision. In general they did a decent job cleaning up nails and shingles leaving only a small amount for us to grab as we found them which was no biggie. My biggest complaint aside from the damage to the deck, were the insane amount of cigarette butts that were left in our yard. Being nonsmoker's and having toddlers that like to pick up EVERYTHING they find made for a few busy hours of cleaning those up. Overall, I would probably use them again and recommend them to others.

We have an older farm house with slate siding. It is very brittle, and I was concerned that stripping the back section roofing off, and getting new would damage the slate. The salesman assured me that their crew would make sure to take their time around the slate and while he couldn't guarantee that none would be broken, he had confidence in their experience. Also we wanted a shingle that was resistant to moss, as we have a big tree overhanging the house. I was shown many different samples, and was happy with the quality of the product. They dont use home depot quality stuff- you get what you pay for. Anyways- I gave the ok, and they came out and had it stripped and installed in one day, and they did not break any slate. I inspected everything thoroughly and am happy with the quality of their product and their work.

All American Remodeling stripped and replaced the shingles on our roof. They also added gutters and gutter guards for a reduced price. Later, due to their good work on the roof, I had them add a gutter and guard for our carport. We were more than pleased with their work, and the crew was proficient and professional. Due to bad experiences with other home improvement people, I was very wary at first. All American Remodeling proved they are head and shoulders above those pretenders. I recommend them to anyone seeking help with a home improvement project.

All American Remodeling tore off an old roof and then replaced it with new shingles. They even removed an old, unused chimney which was causing problems with leaking and water damage. They also provided proper venting which will prolong the life of my new roof. I felt I got a good price, and the job was completed in one day. The crew was courteous and did a good job cleaning up when they completed their work. I will be contacting them to do more home improvement work for me in the future.

I actually rent a house out in Michigan. I needed to get some windows replaced and the experience was amazing! I literally got the quote and the windows replaced all in one day. The workers or contractors were very nice and they cleaned everything up after they were finished!!! Thanks again All American Remodeling!

In my experience, All American promptly responded to my inquiry regarding roof leaks and showed up when promised. They determined the cause of the leak was a cracked drain pipe and did not charge me for the inspection. I may even do the repair myself! (I am not that handy) I would recommend All American.

In 2014 I had work done in my bathroom. I had a new tub/shower & sink installed. I purchased sink myself from Menards. I felt I was charged way to much for the job but the gentleman that did the job was a hard worker & quick. I would recommend them for a job well done.

I would recommend All American for any roof job. The sales person was great and the crew was great. Had a new shingled roof in just a few hours. They cleaned up the area and you couldn't even tell that they were there, and the roof looks great.
Tips & Advices
Windows that open from the top are safest for children, assuming the child can't reach the opening. Parents who have windows that open from the bottom or sides can childproof them with wedges or window guards.
  • How long have you been in business?
  • Do you have any references or past work I can see?
  • Do you provide free estimates?
  • How much will the project cost?
  • When will the project be completed?
  • Is the crew hired or contracted, and do you conduct background checks?
  • Who will be in my home?
  • Do you offer a warranty?
Not necessarily. Unless all the windows are equally damaged or pose equal danger, homeowners can stagger their replacements to suit their budget.
  • Wood frames are beautiful and can be customized with paint and stains, but they also expand and contract as the weather changes. They're also susceptible to rot, mold, and pests. As such, wood frames require constant maintenance.
  • Vinyl frames are far more durable than wood. They resist moisture and are usually created with ultraviolet light stabilizers. This prevents the sun from damaging the frames over time. In addition, vinyl frames can be filled with insulation.
  • Aluminum frames are light and weather resistant, but they also conduct heat rapidly.
  • Fiberglass frames are the sturdiest option. Like vinyl options, they can be filled with insulation. Fiberglass frames also resist weather damage and do not crack, peel, expand, contract, bend, or warp.
Single-pane windows use one sheet of glass. Double-pane windows use two sheets of glass held together by a sealant. A small space between the panes is filled with air or gas to minimize the transfer of heat. Triple-pane windows add another sheet of glass and insulating space.
