Sherds Transmission & Auto Repair Service Inc
Sherds is a very honest business who take pride in what they do. We appreciate everything that Paul has done for us and our vehicles. Today I went to two separate garages being heritage on Scribner st and lentz on Alpine nw and both told me that they couldn't do an alignment because I needed upper and lower ball joints and would cost me approximately 6-$700.00. I felt these garages were lieing to me. So I brung my truck to old trusty Sherds and after speaking with Paul and dropping off my truck he called me back with the best information ever. I did not need new ball joints at this time. Simple greasing up the fittings and he can do the alignment for about $60.00 Save me about a whole alot of money. Thanks for being such and honest garage. All the Guy's are awesome too. Cant go wrong with Sherds. Very reasonable prices and most of all they're honest. Thanks,Doug. Fresh cuts lawn care and landscaping.

Accurate Alignment & Brake Service
I have been extremely satisfied the auto repair work Accurate Alignment & Brake Service done for me. I also know several of my friends have experienced the same great service from this family owned company. Scott and Nathan take the time to clearly explain my options and their recommendations for the service and repair of my vehicle's suspension, brake and steering systems. More than once I have found Accurate Alignment to be significantly lower priced than others, their estimates are fair and there are no pricing games. I trust and recommend Accurate Alignment.

German Auto Service Ltd
I do a lot of work myself and have worked in shops in the past but have never had a better auto repair experience than german auto service. GAS delivers what all auto repair shops should strive for. Over the past few years, I have taken volkswagens, BMW, Mercedes to GAS for things from simple oil changes to complex and custom fabrication jobs. Almost every time I was surprised with a quicker and lower cost repair or customization than I had expected. These guys know their stuff and are honest. I have and would recommend them to anyone with a car...of any make.

Accurate Alignment & Brake Service
I took my car to Accurate Alignment after taking it to two different shops and the dealership. I called shops and other dealerships, after everyone said there was nothing they could do to help me out, no adjustments, no shims, ect... Accurate Alignment took the extra time to find and create special shims for what I needed. They communicated well with me and had my car done in a timely fashion. I know that all my cars from now on will get their alignment done at Accurate Alignment. Exceptionable customer experience. They have just created a customer for life.

Christian Brothers Automotive-Grand Rapids
I have no working knowledge as to the mechanical workings of my car.But this is no excuse on my part to not have had an inspection of my brakes before they started to "scream". Because of what I heard from a number of people,I drove to Christian Brothers Automotive and had an inspection. I authorized the repair, was driven to my work, and by early afternoon had my car.Only wish I had seen Kurt and his staff before my waiting cost me more.If faith is belief in the unknown,go back to the name of this service.Christian Brothers Automotive.GB Jerry.

Extreme Car Audio
I've used them twice. Years ago to put a remote starter in my wife's car. I had to take it back twice because it wouldn't unlock properly. Then I had a stereo installed 2 years ago in my boat. It took forever to get sales assistance and they had my boat an additional 6 hours longer than they said. If you tell me it will be done by noon and I come back at 12:30 and you haven't started it, that is a way to P me off. I know the owner and it felt as though he had made his money and knew there were be more people coming in the door after I left. Sad.

Dash Doctor
Amazing experience! I have an older Nissan Quest and the lights on the dash would go on and off making it hard to see things like the speedometer. I contacted the local Nissan dealer who told me the gauge cluster would need to be replaced for $500-700. I brought my van to Dash Doctor instead. The owner was friendly and professional. The repair was done the same day and now works perfectly. The best part was it cost less than $100. I highly recommend using this company.

Auto Masters
Began taking my three vehicles to Auto Masters about 2 years ago. I have spent nearly $3K on maintenance and major repairs. Only one problem with a bad brake job on an Audi. When I called the owner he asked me to bring it back in. An hour later he corrected the problem, apologized and I was satisfied. Unusual for an established facility to admit responsibility and keep the customer happy. They are my choice

German Auto Service Ltd
I do a lot of my own work but this is the only shop in town I will let work on my cars. I feel they are honest and make and accurate diagnosis of repairs needed instead of just throwing parts at it. They also did some work on my DeLorean in the past, not many shops in the area will touch them but German pulled through and got it back on the road. They called before doing any work or ordering any parts.
Tips & Advices
Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts. But aftermarket parts that are low in price might also be lower in quality and could do more harm than good to your car, or they may need to be replaced more frequently than a more expensive counterpart. This could lead to saving some money in the short term, but spending more than anticipated in the long term.
The type of tires being purchased is the most significant determinant of their price. SUV tires are more costly than average car tires. And high-performance tires are more costly than economy grade tires. On average, standard tires for an average-sized vehicle are around $100 per tire. Standard tires for an SUV are around $150 and pick-up truck tires are about $200 on average. Some dealers offer discounts if purchasing more than one tire.
Car inspections typically take about an hour. However the wait time can be longer depending on how busy the shop is. Call ahead for an appointment to avoid long wait times.
Depending on the manufacturer, certain aftermarket parts can be just as reliable as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But one item within a vehicle, like oil filters for instance, could have multiple manufacturers and there could be inconsistencies in quality among them.
Costs of replacing a windshield can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors:
  • Vehicle make and model
  • How much of the cost insurance will cover
  • Whether the windshield installers come to your location or you bring the vehicle to them
  • Standard service costs of the windshield installers
Generally, newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
