So rude and work is improperly done. Be ready for added costs and high pressure sales at the point of service. That is their business strategy. All good reviews are made by their employees! Stay away if you value your vehicle and your money!!!!!

Sherds is a very honest business who take pride in what they do. We appreciate everything that Paul has done for us and our vehicles. Today I went to two separate garages being heritage on Scribner st and lentz on Alpine nw and both told me that they couldn't do an alignment because I needed upper and lower ball joints and would cost me approximately 6-$700.00. I felt these garages were lieing to me. So I brung my truck to old trusty Sherds and after speaking with Paul and dropping off my truck he called me back with the best information ever. I did not need new ball joints at this time. Simple greasing up the fittings and he can do the alignment for about $60.00 Save me about a whole alot of money. Thanks for being such and honest garage. All the Guy's are awesome too. Cant go wrong with Sherds. Very reasonable prices and most of all they're honest. Thanks,Doug. Fresh cuts lawn care and landscaping.

State Spring Alignment & Brake
Manager was extremely rude to our employee, said he didn't care about customers. "There are lots of other places to buy springs he told us" so if your looking for a company with customer service like that...

Disappointing, Rude, Avoid at all cost, The worst customer service in Grand Rapids, I waited for more than 7 hours to get a remote starter installed even though it was scheduled a week before . They serve their friends first. Do Not expect the First-come, First-served policy there. It is just frustrations and anger. I hope you will read this before you go there.

These guys are friendly and went out of their way to fix something else on my car for free. It wasn't anything big, I just didn't have time to do it.

I needed new bushings for the leaf springs on my 2000 Ford Ranger. State Spring Alignment & Brake gave me very fast, friendly, and professional service at a fair price. I am totally satisfied.K.M.

Tips & Advices
Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts. But aftermarket parts that are low in price might also be lower in quality and could do more harm than good to your car, or they may need to be replaced more frequently than a more expensive counterpart. This could lead to saving some money in the short term, but spending more than anticipated in the long term.
The type of tires being purchased is the most significant determinant of their price. SUV tires are more costly than average car tires. And high-performance tires are more costly than economy grade tires. On average, standard tires for an average-sized vehicle are around $100 per tire. Standard tires for an SUV are around $150 and pick-up truck tires are about $200 on average. Some dealers offer discounts if purchasing more than one tire.
Car inspections typically take about an hour. However the wait time can be longer depending on how busy the shop is. Call ahead for an appointment to avoid long wait times.
Depending on the manufacturer, certain aftermarket parts can be just as reliable as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But one item within a vehicle, like oil filters for instance, could have multiple manufacturers and there could be inconsistencies in quality among them.
Costs of replacing a windshield can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors:
  • Vehicle make and model
  • How much of the cost insurance will cover
  • Whether the windshield installers come to your location or you bring the vehicle to them
  • Standard service costs of the windshield installers
Generally, newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
