“GOD BLESS YOU, MICHAEL KRAUT!!”Getting pulled over after a couple of glasses of wine and being slapped with a DUI for the first time ever was the most TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE in my entire life!! I was so scared, and although I didn’t feel drunk, my BAC was over the legal limit, and at that moment I was just - SCREWED - in my mind. I did a LOT of research on the internet and compared various lawyers I’d found. They all seemed to have big promises, but what stood out for me was that Michael Kraut was Harvard Law educated, had AMAZING reviews (I spent a lot of time in awe reading what he had done for others and I was VERY impressed), and the best of all reasons I chose him (and I thank GOD I did!!!) was that he was actually a former D.A. prosecutor for DUI offenses! He has been on the other side of the system, and is EXTREMELY WELL CONNECTED. He knows the deputies, DMV officers, other attorneys I asked him about – the man knows EVERYONE, and believe me, he knows how it ALL works -from BOTH sides. My favorite thing about Michael Kraut was that He ALWAYS answered his phone. Not some answering service, not an associate – it was always HIM. I probably annoyed him in the beginning because although I didn’t want to keep bothering him, I had a LOT of “What if’s” and “Will I’s”. Michael is a very “To-the-point, no-nonsense” person. It wasn’t only his way of alleviating my stress by reminding me to stay calm and not to over-think things (which I do), but he had confidence every time I talked to him or sent an email (which he ALWAYS promptly responds to, as well) that gave me the secure sense that he really had everything handled, so I stopped feeling the need to contact him. I didn’t have to worry about being in court – he does all of that, or going to my DMV hearings – he does all of that, too. You just hire him. He jumps. He runs. He does it ALL. The outcome of my case was certainly not one I expected: Less than a month after I hired him, he called me and asked if I was ready to hear some good news. I thought perhaps he might tell me my fine was being reduced, or something to that effect at BEST. He calmly told me my case had been DISMISSED!!! I think I was in disbelief and he must have felt my silence of disbelief, because he then calmly clarified that it was OVER and that my “NIGHTMARE WAS FINISHED”. My screams of joy and thanks probably broke the poor man’s eardrum (Sorry, Mike!) and he then politely said he had to go attend to another issue. All I could manage to get out to him amidst my confusion, relief, questions and thank you’s before he had to get off the phone was a huge “GOD BLESS YOU!!!” and I swear I could “hear” him smile over the phone as he said “Oh, well thank you!” and politely excused himself to end the call. Had I not hired Michael Kraut, I could have had more to lose than one ever wants to even think about: My job, a TON of my time, a lot of money in fines, higher insurance rates, my clean record, not to mention my dignity. He really was a Godsend to me and I still want to pick up the phone sometimes and just keep thanking him (and yes, he would answer, but he is a BUSY man and I’ll leave him alone :-)). I’ll say it once again anyway: “THANK YOU, MICHAEL!!”

Being an innocent person yet investigated for a potential white collar crime was the most harrowing experience that ever happened in my life. Having spotless records in my personal and professional life, a potential criminal charge and a conviction with possible prison time would have devastating impacts on my career and family life. My family and I lived an extremely stressful life for over 6 months not knowing what could happen the next day as the outcome of the investigation. After I found out that I was being investigated, I hired a local lawyer (not from Los Angeles area) who provided a decent service in keeping me abreast of the status of investigation. However as the investigation was being completed and the DA was getting closer in making decision whether and what charge to file, I was getting increasingly anxious since this lawyer only seemed to wait for the charge to be filed and did not make his priority to prevent the charge to be filed in the first place. By the act of God I found Michael's name through a Google search, at the last minute! (The DA was about to file a charge the week after I contacted Michael!) I was highly impressed by his background as a former DA and his track records of handling pre-filing representation. I immediately made a decision to replace my previous lawyer with Mike which turned out to be one of the best decisions in my life. In our first meeting Mike explicitly stated that his main objective was to have my case dropped since he believed me that I just made a stupid mistake and did not have any malicious intent. Of course legally he could not make an advanced guarantee of the final outcome, but his objective was very clear and reassuring to me, something I did not hear from other lawyers I had previously interviewed. After Michael started representing me, I was still very worried of the outcome of my case since anything could still happen. Michael kept assuring and informing me about the progress of my case, which made me calmer. He responded to all my phone calls and emails promptly. He only asked me to trust him and allow him to do his work. After almost 2 months of work, Michael called me and my wife to his office to let us know of the final result: CASE REJECTED! We almost did not believe it when we heard it, but it was real! After over 6 months of nightmare, we got our normal life back! If you are being investigated for a potential white collar crime, don't wait even a minute to call Mike. He answers all calls himself, no secretary! As a former DA, Mike is very well connected and knows how the legal system works from the inside and the outside, and thus knows how to best approach your case and give you the best possible outcome before the charge is filed!

One night driving home near my place in Beverly Hills I made the mistake of answering a quick text and was pulled over. As the Beverly Hills PD is very strict the next thing I was arrested my vehicle searched and charged with felony of possession of an illegal substance. Before I knew what hit me I was facing some hefty charges and it was apparent that I had been made an example out of. None the less if I didn’t get some professional advice quickly I would be facing considerable charges and this could cause an affect on my life that would have unrecoverable consequences. As I had never been in trouble before I immediately panicked, didn’t know who to talk to as I didn’t want anyone to know or family to find out about this as I was VERY embarrassed.I immediately started to interview and dove into some petty extensive research on attorneys for this type of charge.I have one thing to say, SAVE YOUR SELF the headache, heart ache and countless hours of time I wasted. After meeting with 5 attorneys I fell upon Michael and it was like night and day. His level of professionalism and integrity he operates from is far superior than anyone else I have ever met in his field.Obviously coming into these type of situations like some of us face unfortunately they could have a huge impact on your lives.I couldn’t talk about this to anyone so it was eating me alive, i couldn’t eat, sleep or focus on my business it was killing me from the inside out.He assured me with a ROCK SOLID PLAN how he was going to go after the case and his plans was better then the other attorneys that I had interviewed. As a former DISTRICT ATTORNEY and knows the business inside and out.He did exactly that and executed it as he said he would being very supportive of my constant checking ins along the way. He was able to get the case dropped from a felony and then was able to get me a deal which meant as soon as I completed a few NA meetings, the case was dropped. As with it being foreign territory for us with a hell of a lot at stake we are sometimes not the easiest to deal with with a ton of anxiety. If you want to put your best foot forward I highly recommend having Michael represent your case as I feel there is no one more focused and passionate at defending criminal law in this city. The results were astounding, he managed to have all 3 felonies dropped and is a TRUE professional.Other attorneys should take a page out of his book.Walter L.

I found these reviews online after finishing up my case with JT Legal Group and couldn't believe what I read. I will go through my entire case from first hearing from JTLG. In January 2016 I fell behind on payments due to medical costs for my wife. After she passed away I didn't care about anything, and soon after had many bills that became overdue. When I received my Notice of Default, I planned to let the house go since I had little, if any, equity. I received a letter from JTLG letting me know that the county recorders office had filed, and we're eventually going to move forward with a sale date. I spoke with a few ladies in the beginning, (Lisa, Jackie, and Attorney Ms Singh). After going through the initial consultation, the ladies found that there had been multiple violations with my lender/servicer ocwen, for not getting in touch with my prior to the foreclosure. They were suppose to call and find out why I had missed the payments and give me options - which they had never done. Now this is the part where I cannot believe the previous bad reviews - All three ladies told me upfront that there was no guarantee. They explained that a TRO may stop the foreclosure proceedings, but ultimately it's up to the judge. After which we would have to continue to fight for months, maybe even years if I wanted to get my property back. The girls gave me hope again to fight for my house.9 months later JTLG and the lender came to a settlement in which the lender would put me back into loan modification review, give me a settlement, and drop a significant amount of arrears.Apparently I was a good case, and not all end up like me, but the girls were very transparent prior to starting litigation. They gave me options for what I wanted to do - BK, Shortsale, walk away, etc. But I choose to litigate because of the professionalism of the company.

Seven months ago I contacted Michael Kraut of the Kraut Law Group. I was broken, afraid, and scared. My relationship was on the line, and so was my government job. I had never had any experience even SEARCHING for an attorney, nor had I any reason to before, so upon reading his reviews and high ratings, I trusted the public's opinion and decided to solicit his services. Meeting with him the first time made me feel entirely at ease and comfortable with the whole process. I was charged with felony grand theft auto, felony taking a vehicle without owner's permission, and felony receiving stolen property, in Upland, CA. Just this week the entire charges were reduced to a miniscule $700 fine and a misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace. I owe Michael Kraut my life and would highly recommend him to ANYONE in Southern California looking for a criminal attorney, no matter hoe severe or miniscule the charges. DO NOT go into a courtroom without help, and Michael is the best kind of help to have. I can also attest that he himself answers his own phone no matter what time of day or night you call, he is a deeply caring family man, and a true professional that anyone should be proud to be associated with. He is a man I have not only done business with, but a man I am proud to call a close, personal friend.

This firm handled a few cases for me and my family -- one traffic accident and another worker's comp related -- and I could not be more satisfied with the high level of service and professionalism they exemplified! They took care of everything with ease, answered all my questions, and the whole experience was excellent and stress free. I highly recommend Arman and his team! Furthermore, Arman has established really strong relationships over a decade with the courts, and he is well respected all around by judges, law enforcement, civic servants, and other legal professionals. These relationships help a lot when you need to get something done quickly and correctly, and they came in handy more than once for me! These things you just don't get from other firms. Finally, Arman is a dedicated and committed family man, with values and morals that are so wonderful to see. For me, it gave me a deep level of trust that made me feel really good about hiring him and his team. I will never use another law firm, because Arman Sahakyan & Associates is simply the best. I got arrested in for a DUI during a music festival, was partying a lil bit too hard that weekend and got pulled over with a .19 BAC which included some other illegal substances in my blood. I was FREAKING OUT!! Could not sleep, worried about my job, worried about going to jail, high fines, and a public record bc of the high BAC etc and I live in LA county. I called 10 attorney's in the hopes of rolling the dice and finding someone good, got referred to Mike by a friend who said he never takes no and never quits on you. I called him and he said I had to come on and talk face to face not like the other shame lawyers, who just wanted my money and hand it off. We spoke he talked me down and explained the entire process, was concerned bc of the extra substances in my BAC but said ti would take time but he would do all he could to figure it out. Well, after a few months of going back and forth with the court, he was able to get the BAC down .08 and a first time DUI, no jail time and 3months DUI program. I still don't fully understand how he was able to do all he did. But I am SOOO thankful, he saved my life, me money and he fought for me unlike anyone else I could have imaged.

Dear Arotin K. As you know, you accident case is in Litigation. Insurance company has denied your case after completing their investigation. My office had to file a lawsuit to recover for your damages. California courts are backlogged and from date of filing to trial is typically takes 2-3 years. This information was provided to you. In accordance to your retainer agreement you are solely responsible for legal fees and cost of litigation. My office does not advance fees. According to our notes your appointment was at 4 p.m., and even assuming misunderstanding between you and Rose, yelling at my office employees is not okay and will not be tolerated. I have personally handled numerous matters for you over the years and I have done nothing short of exceptional work. Your family and friends can attest to that. I hope you well in the future and good luck with your impending case. Arman Saakyan Esq.

The Law Office of Henrik Karapetian
I came to Henrik last year during a difficult time in my life. I had called a lot of attorneys for consultations regarding my marriage and our child. I decided to go with Henrik and I was happy that I did. He helped guide me through all the rough patches in my divorce process and was aggressive in Court when it came time to my child. I truly am thankful for the great service and aggressive representation that Henrik provided. He was literally always available to take my frantic calls throughout the day. I was so impressed with Henrik that I recently called him for representation on a personal injury case from a car accident. He has already handled all of the property damage issues and is now working on getting me compensation for my injuries. Henrik is really the type of attorney that stays with you for life. I am glad I can call Henrik when I need a strong litigation attorney.

I was stopped by CHP in October 2014 and I refused to take a sobriety test. I was taken into custody and released but only after did I realize how serious a DUI refusal was. As soon as I made the phone call to Michael, he guided me through the complexity of getting all my paperwork, my testimony and the mindset and courage to face what was going to be a difficult & challenging road ahead that is the realm of a DUI refusal. He worked miracles behind the scenes, and because of his connections with the DA and the DMV, his excellent timing and his intelligence, my DMV hearing was closed (cop didn't appear) and no case was filed. He truly is a miracle worker and he is thorough, meticulous and worked with me to prepare to fight and win. I truly think that my choice to hire Michael was the BEST decision I made and only he has the skills that helped me not lose my license and win.
Tips & Advices
When it comes time to choose a lawyer, you should start by searching close to home. If you do have attorneys you are familiar with, ask who they believe would be best for you. After going through personal references - especially from individuals who had similar needs - you should broaden your search through public information resources. You can call your area's attorney referral service or check legal organizations like Martindale-Hubbell. There are other resources available online, such as yellowpages.com. You can check websites for client reviews and other third-party forms of approval.
If you sign documents and you come across a word you don't recognize, or you need help to navigate important employment or real estate paperwork. Also, during times when personal matters intersect with legal proceedings, you might need to have an advocate to prevent your emotions from getting in the way. If you've been accused of a crime or are in a terrible financial situation, you can find an attorney who will work with what you have available.
When you hire a lawyer, you're agreeing to work with someone over a certain period of time. The more forthcoming the lawyer appears to be with individual needs, the better.
  • You need to ask questions about how the attorney will communicate with you and what responsibilities you hold in the relationship.
  • The attorney should let you know the best channel for quick communication and you need to inform him or her when you want updates.
  • You should also ask questions to get to know the attorney as an individual in order to ensure this is a person you can trust. Ask about their legal philosophy and how he or she views the lawyer/client relationship. Ask as how to keep fees down or what daily disruptions you should expect from a long legal battle.
You need to ask about every possible fee that will come up when working with an attorney. You should request a list of all costs in advance so you won't be surprised by additional expenses like overhead. Also determine exactly when you will start being billed. You want to inspect paperwork carefully. If the attorney charges you for his or her experience, you need to make sure he or she will perform tasks personally and not hand it off to an assistant. Find out if the attorney has a flat fee or charges by the hour. Many civil lawyers work on contingency. Make inquiries about how the lawyer plans to provide service for your money and what you can do if you start to feel unsatisfied with his or her performance.
You can ask how many similar cases they have handled and if they have special skills or training that applies specifically to your needs. Lawyers can't mention clients by name, but you should ask for basic details about identical past cases. You should check their office for the appropriate certifications and diplomas. You can also ask how long he or she has practiced law and request information that demonstrates the practice's success. Look for precise details such as percentage of cases settled out of court.
